  1. I'm all for getting this to the dev's attention, but I'm glad this doesn't affect me too much. The dps sage/sorc set bonuses for colum/rak are god awful. The augments would at least balance out the lack of set bonus. This along with aesthetics will probably lead to me not having much of an issue.
  2. Agreed, OP. At the end of the day, dps is by design squishy. Ask a scoundrel or a sage about "being too squishy", you buffoons. You're supposed to die a bit in PvP, you'll have to acclimate to this reality.
  3. I'm very confused atm. I read you are able to buy at at the social vendors for, originally, social X and 1,500,000 credits. It was sold at the vendors on Correlia and Ilum. The social requirement was removed in a recent patch. Now I am looking for where to get this mount, it isn't available from seemingly any social vendor. I've checked online for some sort of alternative vendor, I haven't seen some new speeder vendor appear at Ilum or Correlia or anything. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. What is the purpose of this? I see no positive side to the current alternative, in fact, I think there literally is none at all. What is "bad" about server-specific forums? It is like Bioware took some yummy yogurt and mixed it with cow-urine and dirt to be "unique and avant-garde". The community has incessantly complained about this since launch, only to be ignored. The only response I've seen been given encouraged the player-base to create their own forums. This has failed on every server for obvious reasons. I know I'm just punching the same brick wall who ignored complaints about ME 3 and DA 2, but please, if you have any empathy, sense, or dignity, stop this.
  5. Didn't they say that they would implement it during maintenance on the 28th?
  6. Am I missing something? I can't perform this command solo or in a group. Does it only work when master looter is up or inside of an ops?
  7. I would agree to some extent. I tend to perceive a stronger personal agreement to the dark side/empire minus the authoritarianism and senseless "bad guy" cruelty. Individualism, competition, social Darwinism, hard logic over emotional bias, etc are all constituents of my general world-view.
  8. I just checked, they lowered it from 136 WP to 124. Not much of a difference, considering the standard ones give 104
  9. Why not just extend the maintenance? Surely these fixes aren't profound programming quandaries.
  10. I just got done downloading 1.1.2, right? Biochem hasn't been changed at all. The Rakata potency is the same, I still can't use my exotech force schematic, and I bet nothing was doen with the exotech and energized quality biochem products. What happened??
  11. Is anyone else receiving just awful game performance since the recent patch? I feel that I can no longer function in-game. In-game ping is stable at about 90-110ms, but whenever I activate my abilities or become engaged in combat, it instantly spikes to 600-1100ms and remains this way until combat ends. My fps was also shot. I've had to go from nearly-max graphics to the absolute lowest available within the graphic options tab, with fps generally 10-15 in combat situations. I've seen no performance issues in any other games I play, whether they be online multiplayer based or not.
  12. Lets face it, the forum design is illogical and a tad irritating. The devs drew their attention towards ability delays because the community spoke...very loudly. If we want forums of rational structure, we're probably going to need to start shouting again. SERVER FORUMS Lets start with the obvious: SERVER FORUMS NOW! This cluster format that we have is leaps and bounds better than what we started with, but it is still inadequate. Server forums are organized ways to keep track of PvE progression, guild recruit, schedule server events, and really form a solid community structure. A dev argument against server forums was brought about very early on in the cycle of complaints. "The servers creating their own forums will build an even stronger sense of community, because it is a team effort!" No, that does not work. Reasons why: Niche populations and competition. The only people that will use these will be a "niche group". Usually being the people close to the creator of the website (most likely a guild) and they may only spread knowledge of it through these terrible cluster forums or word of mouth (and type). They simply cannot reach a wide enough audience for any real level of traffic to occur. If it ever does, new players (to both the game and server) will have trouble being exposed to the said website. What makes matters even more dire is the likelihood of competition. The population cannot be split on which forum to primarily use, this causes the userbase of an individual forum to be further desolate. Stop deluding yourself Bioware, the developers of the forums performed an uncalled for mental lapse in omitting server specific forums. SPECIALIZED CLASS FORUMS Now that we got that out of the way, we need to merge the specialized class forums. Sages and sorcerers, Assassins and Shadows, Vanguards and Powertechs, we all speak the same language. Class forums are designed to discuss class balance, talent experimentation, spec viability, spec improvement, etc. When the forums for essentially the same class are split, the proliferation of knowledge and opinion is far less efficient. As the old saying goes, "two brains are better than one". Even if the Republic has less neurons (players). BASE CLASS FORUMS The base or fundamental class forums (bounty hunter, jedi knight, etc) should be given a new title, perhaps "Class Story Discussion". The next time I read "BALANCE, TELEKINETICS, OR HYBRID" misplaced in the counselor forum, I'm going to have a hissy fit. In their current function, all that is ever discussed are things relating to the class storylines, misplaced specialized class questions, or complaints about the "***** sage helmets". There needs to be a big clarification of what discussion niche they are most able to suite. Comments?
  13. I would have to agree. As a healer, I feel unable to perform my role without a whopping amount of expertise. I think that perhaps PvP gear should have difference stat specialization, as you do, and I really like your potential solution. This "you're on of us or nothing at all" paradigm can get rather tedious. I vote for this getting stickied.
