  1. As it has been mentioned here by multiple people and I agree with this as a tank myself, the DPS players who don't pay attention/reckless/hasty/etc is one of the most frustrating things for us. As a side discussion what is the DPS class that when you get matched with that makes you cringe the most when you see it the group finder? Perhaps we can share some advice on how we should deal with these problem classes. For me it is without a shadow of a doubt, Marauders. I lost count of how many Marauders I put on my ignore list after some horrid experiences with them. Granted I am a Jugg sitting 25K and at/near the soft caps for my defensive stats, so I can weather a lot of punishment even if the healer is having to heal the stupid Marauder, but the tendency for those guys to charge in before everyone else is recovering their health/resource after the pull that puts me over the edge. My method of dealing with them is to: 1. Not Guard them. 2. If the healer is a friend/Guildmate, advise him/her to just let the Marauder die when they pull that crap
  2. Personally, when I was playing my Sorc as my healing in Operations before changing to an Operative, I always considered Alacrity nearly useless. Granted having to throw in a long cast heal on a tank in a pinch did benefit from it. I never got beyond BH/Rakata gear level since I switched, but I beleive the only Alacrity I had was on my BH Implants after moving mods around and if those didn't have 71 (I think) power then I wouldn't have bothered spending the comms on them. The most significant increase I noticed from a single stat was when I augmented all my all my gear and put a +18 Power augment in each slot minus 1. Pretty much once you hit the sift cap for Crit and Surge, the Sage/Sorc healer only has 1 stat to improve at that point.
  3. Well, are we talking about using the group finder or just trying to get a group together on the fleet? Also, are we talking about low level flashpoints, HM flashpoints, or Operations? From my personal experience leveling my Jugg and now my Shadow as a tank, until you get more abilities to hold the aggro beyond just Taunt, it can be a little frustrating not having the right tools for the job. For HM Flashpoints, personally I only need to do 1/day. I'm not going to que in by myself if I can help it, since it will pretty much be an instant que, I'm going to take my friends. I would wager that most tanks think along the same line here. For Operations, chances any half decent is in a guild and that is who they are going to run their operations with most of the time. So in summary, beyond being one of the least appealing roles to play for most people in PvE, there are a lot other factors which make us more scarce than DPS. Another piece of advice though, if you are DPS and if you want to stay off a tanks ignore lists, don't touch the mobs before we do.
  4. Since 12/18/2011, no plans to leave anytime soon.
  5. Here is a link to TOR Fashion, http://tor-fashion.com/ It doesn't look like it has been updated for a while, but there are some armored robes shown there for sure.
  6. I like the voice acting for the Jedi Knight, both the male and female, I'll admit that what throws me off sometimes is how the character expressions/animations don't really match the lines. I'll also add that I've found that depending how you design your character, the voice can sound really off. For example, whenever I am in a group with a male BH who is body type 1 (the shrimp), the voice sounds way too powerful for that body.
  7. At times loading the fleet can lag a little due to the large amount of people, which is more related to HD speed, RAM, or my vid card, still this is due to the increased population though as my PC has to handle more players in a concentrated area. Turning shadows off did help substantially and I was able to keep the other settings high. Haven't had anything noticeably bad on the leveling planets. Can't speak for FPs or Ops, taking a break from those atm.
  8. I would say for most people who are part of a guild who runs Operations, most of the rewards from the Hard Mode FPs are going to be sold/given to companions. The reason I would wager for the rush to the end would be to get the daily done for the BH Comms and out of the way as it is perceived as more of a chore than enjoyment. I will admit I am one of these people but if 3/4 people are game for it I'm usually open to trying it once or twice just to see the bonus encounter as I don't do it regularly. Just my two cents.
  9. I am not so sure if there is a shortage of healers as a whole, but shortage of healers who are willing to join the LFG que solo, probably. Personally, I almost never join solo as a healer, I usually join in with one of the tanks from my guild as we already work well as a team, or some DPS friends/guildies. I would say the biggest turn off for me joining solo would be getting in a group for a HM FP with a tank that is in high 40s blues/greens and DPS who break CC, don't use their aggro dump on bosses, burn down the weak/norm mobs first, and rush in before the tank. I really do enjoy playing a healer, being the support role that keeps everyone going I find to be fun. However, it only takes one idiot to turn it from fun to being a chore. I wouldn't say it is a thankless role, because being in demand is a rewrard on its own, but that doesn't mean we aren't going to be picky when it comes to who we group with.
