  1. I do GSF only bc GS forces me to, but I don't afk or suicide - this should def be punished. Yet I can sort of understand ppl who do this. You are basically forced to play modes you don't want to for GS points. GSF particulalry has a steep learning curve, is unfriendly and frustrating for newbies. I mean it's 100% unhealthy and wrong when you see the same 1-2 persons on every team doing 90% kills with few if any deaths. In every match. When you play a cannon fodder role over and over again, it might become unbearable esp if you have zero interest in it. Unfortunately, it's a usual case in MMO when devs are trying to shorten the queues by force, yet screwing up the quality. Adding any kind of minimum requirements will just make ppl more angry and toxic unless they are easily achiveable. This doesn't help at all. The only option is to let ppl chose how they want to do the GS. Queues will become longer ofc, but ppl will participate willingly, which will increase the quality for sure, I belive.
  2. Hmm, mb bc I would be working on what they want instead of what I want? So what is that childish insult for?
  3. At least someone got the TC's point lol. It's not about the inflation, it's about F2Ps who want rare/expansive CM items for FREE. EVERY other armor/weapon can be acquired by simply playing the game w/o GTN or CM involved. Story+planetary quests alone provide a huge amount of cool-looking gear. Add craft, PvP, world drops, etc. Pretty sure Devs are aware of escrow limits and it suits their needs (make you sub) since they implement stuff like Commander's Compendium for 4.5 mil, yet sets/tacticals, for instance, are set at 1mil. Whatever you you do to the economy, CM items will always be expensive bc their amoint is limited and they are purchasable only through real cash (sub/direct donations). Cool stuff is NEVER EVER gonna be easily accessable in a F2P game.
  4. Dev's reasons sound pretty unconvincing tbh. Pretty sure ppl would be glad if they utilized the existing animations. Rifles from Vang/Oper, Pistols from Smug/BH etc. Like replace Merc's Mag Shot (dual wield) with Plasmatech's Plasma Flare (rifle), Unload (dual wield) with removed Full Auto (rifle). No need to reinvent a bicycle here ffs. None asks for new animations, which are also meh compared to the vanila ones most of the time anyway (Deadly Onslaught for instance). It's as easy as letting us pick a pistol for cutscenes. There is a mechanic for BH/Smuggler which replaces a default model with a picked one. I doubt it would take more than a month for a single skilled person to make it work. Replacing animations is even easier. I mean the game is not as old as Diablo or WoW to blame the bad original coding.
  5. Or they could leave it as it is and rather spend money/resources on content which is way more important. Those who see a bloating problem can stay in other great games like ESO or FF. Those who don't can keep playing SWTOR and enjoy the so desired content. I see it as a WIN-WIN frankly. Ability bloat is a meme. If you are a casual, you can succeed w/o 3/4 skills since the game is easy as hell. That's how my friends play the game at least. One quickbar. No more, no less. No bloating at all. If you are a serious player, bloating is also nonexistant since this type of ppl naturally enjoyes challange. The more tools a game provides, the more space for self-improvent you have, the more fun you get. What does pruning do? It takes away tools=takes away diversity=takes away fun. Pruning is a step back, not forward. It did no good to WoW. Even with the abusive amount of borrowed powers to compensate. Devs eventually reverted a lot of changes, but lost money, lost players, possibly lost the game. Pruning killed the SWTOR's ancestor - SWG. The conclusion is: pruning will eventually cost the game a lot. Many ppl who love SWTOR and kept playing it for years will quit. Some will stay ofc. A lot of new players might come. But will the dumbed gameplay keep them? No. Why? Dumb gameplay is fun when you have a bloat of content to roll around. You don't have that in SWTOR. Dumb gameplay+lack of content is a deadly mix. 7.0 can repeat the Shadowlands. Huge interest on start, dead after a month or two.
  6. Preparing my popcorn stashes to see what they are gonna prune from PT/Merc avoiding dumbing it to a 3-button-mashing. To me both Arsenal and AP specs are extremely boring and uninteresting to play. My biggest fear in terms of 7.0 was every other "complicated" spec would be pruned to their standard. Hope it'll be the opposite and both get some sort of fun proc/rotation to play around, bc if they indeed take away more abilities, I bet even my dog will be able to succeed as AP/Arsenal.
  7. Don't get the point of arguing tbh. TC complains that, as a F2P, he can't afford outfits, sold on GTN, he NEEDS to play a game, stating one can't earn creds in game w/o real $. This is laughable. If it's crafted gear, why not craft it? If it's a rare world drop, why not farm it? A LOT of stuff is easily accassable w/o even millions. It's just a question of time and effort put into it. But eh, it requires more than whining on a forum right? In terms of CM items, be glad there is a way to purchase them at all, avoiding CC, thanks to ppl who spend their real money. I'd rather farm those 400mil and get the armor I want, than spend cash/gather CC for weeks. You can't adapt the economy for both Subbers and F2P. Contributors should get adeqate advantages to compensate, while F2P should get the minimum comfort with motivation to contribute too. Pure logic. The only solutions would be romoving the sub option completely and make SWTOR a full-time fremium abomination with bazilions of paywalls and lootboxes. No, thanks.
  8. With the amount of time left, I have a lot of doubts about it frankly. Also, I belive it's tuning they are talking about rather than balancing. Messing with skills as a whole is different from changing final numbers on existing ones. It's unlikely they are gonna bring back pruned abilities, rather trying to tune the current ones. It's another problem actually. Why don't we get any comments from DevTeam in specific threads? Similar to WoW's blue post balance notes explaining their vision and final concept so ppl don't misunderstand their intentions. Right now I rather see a chaos. Sleep Dart "removal" caused a lot of hate. Appeared to be a mistake in the end, which could have being easily avoided if Devs provided a simple list of pruned skills. Yet there was nothing, but a ton of questions from PTS testers. I mean it already took so much time for Devs to explain Combat Styles, yet a lot of stuff is still missing (like pistols in cutscenes - how would they work?) and many ppl still have a wrong impression on how it'll work. Either they aren't rly interested in feedback, either there are severe problems in Dev Team, bc for now 7.0 looks like a mess in terms of Dev-Community relations. Why is vital info provided on Streams? Why do we have to gather pieces of knowledge instead of simply reading a full-scale article with Q&A link and FAQ? I mean, Blizz isn't a perfect example, but they at least provided clear info with regular updates. Nothing like that for us in SWTOR. Hope it'll change soon and prove me wrong, but eh... for now, I'm pretty sceptical about the expansion.
  9. That's why there should be way more dedicated feedback than there's now. Ppl barely participate or provide response, which will lead to current changes=nerfs become permanent. Additional issue is that instead of balancing specs, devs seem to be balancing AC as a whole which is absurdly dumb. Conceealment Op is indeed "OP" in PvP and deserves nerfs, while, say, Lethality is medicore, but got the same nerfs. Now on PTS it's obvious that Concealment is very strong, while Leth feels way weaker. Also idk why they don't balance stuff via auras to separate PvE and PvP accordingly. Nerfs to survivability and CC might be healthy for PvP, but they are totally unhealthy for PvE, esp soloing. Sadly, it seems, community has no interest in upcoming changes totally blinded by "Combat Styles do BRRR" and pseudo-bloating therapy which will surprise a lot of ppl when they find mandatory stuff (heals/def/cc) removed, while rotation is almost the same.
  10. First off, the difference is I don't speculate on things I have no idea about. I don't play guardian, so I don't provide any references to it, while you clearly speak shameless bs about "intanct ops". Secondly, there are only 4 AC for 2 classes on PTS, so no idea what "other classes" you are talking about. Will you claim that Inquisitor/BH are intact compared to your precious Guardian later on too? Ever heared about "crayfish bucket effect"? It's when crayfish on the bottom drag the ones who are trying to escape to them. Same goes for ppl who want to see others suffer as much as they think they do or even more. They come to forum and create topics like "Will be so glad to see xxx nerfed to oblivion, bc I'm sure my xxx got such an unfair beating!". Why? Well, apparently your kind thinks that it's the only way to set things fair. Pathetic approach as it is.
  11. Intact? If you don't know a thing, don't pretend you do, pls. Ops lost most of it's defensives provided with utilities. Revitilzers - gone, Curative Agent - gone, Fortified Kolto - gone, Nanotech Suit - gone. Evasive Imperative same row as Escape Plan. Advanced Cloaking the same row as Chem Resistant Inlays. Med Shield same row as Blow for Blow. A ton of fun and usefull utilities were replaced with removed abilities, remaining utilities and main ability evolutions. In almost evcery row there is an obvious winner since most of choices are utterly useless or boring af. Pretty sure it was worth freing 4-5 hotkeys indeed.
  12. Uh, sorry, didn't expect any feedback and totally forgot about the post) Thank you all for help! I've lvled both to 75 and stopped for now. Ops looks more promising for solo thx to stealth and selfheals, but PTS changes stripped it from the majority of survivability, so I'm not sure it would have the same QoL as it has atm. Think I'll hang on there until 7.0 changes for PT appear to make the final decision. Just don't want to replay all the same story for the second time, don't want the generic choicecs made for me either. So, yeah, just chilling for now
  13. Overload Shot, Sever Tendon, Countermeasures (CD), Tactical superiority (CD) gone. +4 slots. Debilitate or Flashbang optional, so up to +2. Tactical Overdrive optional, up to +1. In the end it's 5-7 slots depending on choice. Hope it's worth losing the major part of survivability kit.
  14. You don't NEED any fancy armor to play the game. If you WANT it though, put at least some effort. There are numerous ways to get credits. Doing dailies is one of least profitable ways. Simply farming nodes while watching Tube will beat it by a huge margin. If you are smart and eager, you'll be swimming in millions. If you are lazy or not smart though... you come here to whine. Why not pay for another month and get what you want? Or simply purchase it with real cash if you want it that bad? Makes no sense to me. Ppl get packs using CC. CC mostly come from paying sub/purchasing CC packs. In other words, these ppl support the development of the game unlike F2P/Preferred. You neither want to pay sub nor purchase CC yet got a nerve to demand the same profits just for being there. In terms of economy, it is fine since it works for subbers. It's just F2P/Pref have restrictions. Reasonable restrictions. Increasing the cred cap to 1bil will only do harm. Gold sellers will have an easier time, thus increasing the inflation even more. Increasing the amount of cash on plyers will also skyrocket the inflations since there will be zero reason to not increase the prices on GTN. Your billion will just be as worth as a million nowdays. I also belive a lot of ppl will just unsub and get all the inlocks, staying Pref forever. I doubt operations alone will make them keep subbing. This will cut the support of the game with obvious consequences.
  15. Agreed. I kinda like Agent's one, but Trooper's looks awfully dumb with a huge scope and a tiny barrel. With pistols being adjusted for Smuggler/BH cutscenes, I don't think it's impossible to do. Wonder if in 7.0 picking Operative syle on Vanguard would change it.
