  1. On my end, I have two 50s, both of which I use for RP, crafting, dailies, and taking my two non-50 alts through instances with my husband and his characters. I know that some people aren't interested in all of the storylines and their Dark/Light Side differences, but we are, so we have a ton of characters planned. I'm just as excited as ever to play with them, especially with 1.2 and the upcoming 1.3!
  2. I'm sorry if this has been asked already, too many threads to try to get through =op. But is the Tauntaun pet a one time thing, like we'll only get one on each of our characters this month, or will we get Tauntaun pets for every character we make hereafter? Thank you!
  3. I loved the smuggler storyline! You do get to say fun stuff throughout all of the chapters, but it has to get kinda serious eventually . "By the stars! Republic troops have invaded our base!" Love it
  4. I very much enjoyed the first two books in that series (only ones I've read so far). Wouldn't mind reading the rest, though I've heard the characters (especially the women) are too 2-dimensional.
  5. Just giving this a little nudge. It was Superbowl Sunday when I first posted, after all, so lotsa people were busy and some interested in the Sith Warrior storyline may have missed it.
  6. To the OP, I can only say this: grow up. I was playing 'Turok: Dinosaur Hunter' and 'Primal Rage', among others, at the ages of 10 and 11 and I could very easily differentiate between shooting a person in the neck in game and having his digital blood spew everywhere and shooting someone in real life. Not once did I ever desire to shoot someone. Come to think of it, I don't like realistic violence in general and never have. I don't watch mob or gangster movies and "Saint's Row" pushes it to the point that if my guy were not playing it with me, I'd avoid it altogether. Furthermore, I hate guns. I've held two real guns in my life, for a few seconds each, one of which was entirely incapable of firing, and both made me nauseous. Yet, I loooove shooting psychos in 'Borderlands' (headshots with an incendiary sniper rifle are my favorite). The violence is so over the top and so obviously fake that I can just roll with it. Regarding the sexual thing with Vette.. I thought it was tame. I saw worse when I was 12 and first exploring the internet (my mom hadn't discovered parental controls yet and I figured out how to get around them when she did), but somehow I still realized those things were not expected to be done without consent. Want to know how I knew? Because I was raised by a mother who repeatedly told me what behaviors were socially acceptable and which were not. She also made sure I knew what was and was not appropriate for men to say to me at a young age so that we could tell her if someone mistreated me. She instilled her values in me and until I was old enough to question them and decide with which ones I agreed, I stuck with all of them (lemme say here I still agree with most of what she taught me). My point is if you've got a kid who can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy, then the problem is with the kid and/or his or her parents/guardians and not with the game, movie, etc. I personally think Teen is a more than fair rating for the game.
  7. You are definitely not the only one! However, I only briefly encountered him indirectly in the beta when my husband rolled a trooper. I'm a little ways off from rolling my trooper, but I think Aric is delectable <3.
  8. My experience is limited since I've only just completed the Sith Warrior storyline (flirted a little with Quinn, ultimately romanced Pierce) and am still in chapter 1 of a smuggler. So far, the Corso romance has been cute. Not ideal for me in real life, but a good fit for my smuggler. Pierce is hot to trot as I love beefy, but the romance.. left something to be desired. I'd call it more of a fling. But he is definitely sexy. The sexiest of the three is Malavai, though, and I say this without knowing how his romance develops and ends. He doesn't have Pierce's build, but he's suitably tall, dark, and handsome. Also experienced, intelligent, suave, eloquent, and dutiful. I'm looking forward to romancing Aric, his voice is delicious and I've always loved being able to romance aliens. I see other names thrown around, but I don't know who those companions are yet.
  9. It seems several people put these kinds of movies up, so I just wanted to throw mine in there. I didn't force anti-aliasing originally, but ultimately (somewhere in Chapter 3) went for it. Akasya is intended to be generally Lawful Evil (I love alignments, what can I say?). I tried to keep combat footage at a minimum since the story was of far greater interest to me. The Chiss you see running around with me (Kres'vo'nuruodo) is played by my husband. Every decision made is in-character except for flirting with Quinn (I was curious, couldn't resist). Feel free to ask if you're curious why one action or another was performed (ex. you feel a decision may have been out of character). To Bioware, EA, and LucasArts, thanks for the amazing game!
  10. Oh, yes, there are quite a few In the Smuggler storyline, there is mention of: I know there are two more KoTOR tidbits in the Smuggler line, but I don't know what they are because I didn't want to read the spoilers . And on Taris you'll find out more about: That said, every time I find some reference to KoTOR, I bounce off the walls!
  11. Republic-Side Taris Quest and KoTOR Spoilers! (NO footage yet from SWTOR): Please keep in mind that I am very much a beginner at piecing together clips, so they do have that noob feeling to them.
  12. Let me preface this by saying I haven't read any of the above spoilers and I only played a smuggler up to mid-20s during the stress test. So forgive me if the following has already been mentioned, please! Minor Smuggler spoilers, major KoTOR spoilers:
