  1. These topics are magnets for people who already unsubbed or plan on doing so. This cannot be prevented. They are compelled to see QQ that matches their own, then run rampant on the thread with "Yeah! What he said- yeah! YEAH!". Unoriginal, juvenile and plain old dumb. It makes for zero contribution to any intelligent discussion, and it might as well just be a bump if all the seek is for the QQ thread to thrive.
  2. Turns out I'm in the minority here, then. For games where there is an apparent lack of cleansers it will continue to be annoying, but something I can live with.. I have so far, anyways. I just remember there being palpable rage over general chat in that VS game yesterday. I'd literally spawn and kamikazee 5 ppl with dots, which bought enough time for every subsequent spawn window.
  3. Don't have any insight on whether or not bubbles nullify the DoT as I'm not a cleanser myself. All in all I think it would be appropriate for someone to actually 'tap' a player to break cast. DoTs should only cause spellcasting pushback at best. Just my 2c
  4. I apologize if this has already been posted elsewhere. From what I can tell there's no way to search the forums. Just as the title suggests.. it shouldn't be possible to prevent bomb capping or point-taking by laying on a DoT. Yesterday I was spawning in voidstar as a defender and all I'd do was run out and throw incendiary missile (18 sec dot) on each attacker to keep them from placing bombs. However effective it may be, it takes no skill and provides unfair advantage, which pretty much goes without saying. I've obviously been on the receiving end quite a few times so I thought I'd post it here. Thanks BW.

    Broken pvp

In all fairness to the OP, I don't think it's right for those players to get outright slaughtered for wanting to pvp early. I know I wouldn't want to roll in huttball today in the teen lvls. It should at least be broken into 2 brackets.
  6. I don't think anyone here is questioning if a class, when coupled with a healbot, can dominate.
  7. I believe you just inadvertently coined the term 'tankass' to describe that build, and that is awesome. I lol'd. In response to the OP, gear is going to make the biggest difference at the low levels if you're looking to set yourself apart as a tank. Let me just say that I play a lvl 41 pyrotech-specced Powertech BH and although I can serve as an offtank, I would really shine if properly geared for tanking, obviously. The other point you may be neglecting is the natural skills you accumulate, not the talent tree, such as the ion-gas ammunition as a powertech BH. Go on torhead.com and you'll get a better idea of what you can look forward to skill-wise with either class and maybe this will help you decide which will be better in the long-run. I seriously doubt that either of the tank types you described will be broken by any means.
  8. I read all of it because I can sympathize as a Jedi guardian trying to cope with PvP. You made some good points, albeit ones that have already been echoed throughout the forums, but still good nonetheless. I enjoy a mix of pvp/pve, which is why after playing a focus guardian in hutball at 25 (back when there weren't geared 50s to compete with) I switched back to my powertech. I felt helpless as a guardian in PvP, even against the lvl 10-15s, which is quite embarassing when I consider the amount of awesomeness emanating from my powertech. Nothing new to say really, but I feel for you and I hope to return to my Jedi one day after seeing favorable patch notes.
  9. It's the whole Jerry McGuire "Who's comin with me?" thing. Just need to read between the lines.
  10. I cannot agree more with the OP. Patience is a virtue and it is seriously lacking in these forums. Jumping off the cusp of a 7-year old polished MMO like WoW will set the bar very high in their own minds and they need to realize that in time many issues will be fixed. Bioware will quietly go about their business, just like they did with the server queue fixes, and I personally feel everything will turn out alright in the end, relatively speaking of course. I think this image sums up the group we're referring to: http://i.imgur.com/Dqqqr.jpg
  11. I gotta admit the thought of being bent over in a cutscene while some dude decides if he's going to gloriously impale you with a lightsaber vs knock you out with the hilt is quite laughable. Sure it would be kinda neat, but I don't see it happening at all. That would be downright degrading for the person who lost. Thanks for the head-turning idea though
  12. The game launched 3 days ago.
  13. I think you underestimate the queue times that people would have to endure at this stage in a bracket system. At the very least the bolster system keeps people from standing around and waiting for a queue pop. Would you seriously opt for this alternative? I don't think so. And remember you may be on a highly populated server, but re-rolls like myself are not. I can't imagine how terrible the WZ queues would be on my current server without the bolster system.
