Looking to progress at a decent pace, just came back to the game. Looking for any eager guild that raids on a schedule and needs a tank. I'm currently in 186/192 non-tier gear mixed with full MK-10 augments of the correct types. I've read up on fights but haven't had a chance to get in there and tank anything yet besides HM FPs. In the past on SWTOR I've tanked HM DF/DP. I use and have Starparser as well as Torparse and stay up to date on changes to my class. I'm fairly flexible in assigned tank roles, understand how to focus target, have all my skills fully keybound, and can communicate decently through VoIP. Will come on time and prepared to scheduled raids with all necessary items such as adrenals/stims and medpacks of the latest tier or those that are best for my class (for example level 50 adrenal is currently best for sin tank). Competitive and eager to improve through experience and mastery of mechanics and class. Thanks

I don't get it. Maybe I got lucky but I two shot this today first time tanking it and second time tanking a HM flashpoint at max level. All I did was have everyone call out the corner and it was done. The other flashpoint that I couldn't complete was Korriban on R-9XR, it just seemed either the DPS weren't avoiding enough damage and not outputting enough because it just couldn't be done with the group I was in.

I have the full basic comm gear right now, had like 1400 basic comms + the boxes. So I should start clearing SM versions of the raid then move onto HM?

I'm trying to find a list of relics decent for tanking as well as other gear/mods for 3.0. Is there anything out there like that? Just came back and trying to figure out what to optimize.

I actually saw you guys roleplaying on my Commando alt last week. You guys were doing some impressive roleplay, I had been recruited to join that other military guild on Ord Mantell that was recruiting but I quickly left because they weren't the roleplay centric fit I had hoped them to be. But you guys looked pretty solid. Quick question, guessing you only recruit Commando's correct? No Jedi? Quick cursory look over I don't see any "Jedi" part. I'd be interested in play a rank and file Jedi, muted force powers if you did. If not I do have my Commando.

Basically Shadow/Assassin tanking is harder to learn and harder to master than the other two. It has a much higher skill cap that if you play well, you will be rewarded with having the potential to show off how good you are. But when you play poorly, you don't have that baked in damage mitigation to fall back on. It's much easier to play the other two well in most circumstances (Except Juggernaut AOE tanking) because the other two have more obvious cool downs and baked in mitigation. Most of your tanking comes from active mitigation aka how well you can keep up certain stacks and timing of skills in your rotation. But don't let that deter you and it's really not that hard once you play it enough.

You want to get the PVP relics, including eventually, ranked warzone comms relics as they are BiS until DF/DP HM relics. Thanks I've found everything I need now! Spent all day doing Operations (Cleared all SM and 4 HM DF bosses and another) and got recruited into a lovely new guild that's been answering all my little questions.

Oh yes I've read that guide and I'm doing everything in there pretty much.

Is there a guide somewhere on the internet with the entire loot tables of all the FP drops and bosses? And maybe up to date guides on the mechanics themselves? Haven't really been able to find much except for a few FP guides in the archives on Dulfy.
