  1. Ugh, current Hard Mode reminds me of the bad old days (2012), when carefully used Stims and/or MedPac was the only way to survive a combat in PvE, and still no guarantees. Not my cup of tea.
  2. Some items that I bought are not showing in the Unclaimed Items list!! CC lost !?!? SH Decoration EDIT MODE is sooo buggy right now. Can't decorate ! Is it just me or something global is happening?
  3. update: suddenly I realized that, for all its faults, I prefer TPM over TLJ Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Return of the Jedi Rogue One Revenge of the Sith The Force Awakens The Phantom Menace The Last Jedi Attack of the Clones
  4. If you wanna see EQUALITY AND CAMARADERIE between men and women DONE RIGHT, go watch (or rewatch?) Wonder Woman and Rogue One
  5. Interesting remark; other than the Thrawn Trilogy, and the Vong Wars (what the ST should have been?) , MOST of the Old post-VI EU was met with downright hostily, jadedness and/or indifference
  6. Yeah, I know there's a 95% chance Freaky Johnson has not played (or even heard about) TOR's KOTET/KOTFE expansions, but the similarities between broken TLJ Luke and exiled KOTET/KOTFE Satele are there... Both take personal blame for the failure of the Order against a sudden new enemy, both have exiled themselves, both act now weird and different from their prime years, both have given up and are (kind of) ready to unceremoniously pass the torch on to somebody else (Rey and the Outlander, respectively) Seems curious, at the very least; thoughts?
  7. Perhaps JJ will kinda fix things if he brings back Luke as a Ghost for IX
  8. This; as I've said in other places, now IT'S UP TO J.J. to somehow end the ST on a high-note and meet all loose ends. He could even bring back Snoke and Luke as Force Ghosts. A long battle vs Kathleen Kennedy (and Disney?) is waiting for J.J. (and for the record, I'm not a big fan of TFA, a film I merely liked-tolerated)
  9. Was she the Phantom Menace of the Sequel Trilogy all along? After all, Rian Johnson seems to be HER personal pet project /main man; The Last Jedi [/i ]brings back the CGI overkill that TFA wisely avoided, the constant cuteness is back (merchandising), the forced/plastic humor is back (even in extremely dangerous situations), the explosions over a well-crafted plot are back... it's kind of telling that SHE has GREENLIGHTED, OUT OF THE F BLUE, a new trilogy that will be directed by this Johnson guy; she has fired three directors already and ordered multiple reshoots for Rogue One (with the acquiescence of Disney?) , but this Johnson guy seems to encapsulate HER PERSONAL vision for Disney SW (CGI, merchandising, humor) Thoughts?
  10. The Last Jedi is like ESB mixed with the aesthetics of TPM and the plot holes of AOTC/ROTS the third worst SW movie ever it's up to JJ to fix things for IX, this was just a bizarre, nearly pointless bridge between TFA and IX 2,5 stars out of 5
  11. But still full of adult themes? Like family betrayal? Love? War and death? sorry, but I'll say it once again: SW is aimed at teens entering adulthood (like Luke himself in Ep IV), and adult people who enjoy the craft of a good sci-fi movie
  12. Rishi Tatooine (TOR StrongHold) Manaan Coruscant
  13. Long post What I like -First and foremost, Yoda's Force Ghost cameo: the best Force-related moment of the movie, and a great ending to the Luke and Yoda arc that started waaaaay back in 1980 -Luke complaining about the Legacy of Failure of the Jedi; good scene that shows why Luke was destined to redeem his father but not necessarily to rebuild the Jedi Order; also, nice references to the Prequels to come full circle, the name of Darth Sidious is even mentioned (not just Emperor), good lore for the canon -The blaster action and battlescenes were pretty intense and edgy; the swords scene vs the Preatorian Guards was kickass What I don't like (nearly the whole movie): -Bizarre, forced, even questionable humor; Rian Johnson is an awkward guy -A dangerously high level of pointless cuteness not seen since 1999 Lucas -The blue screen/CGI overkill is a lot more evident here than in TFA; just like the humor, TLJ, visually, feels a lot like a Lucas Prequel movie...overblown and forced...the sequence with the space horses or whatever they are was overkill -The dramatic final ending scene of TFA utterly ruined, you know what I'm talking about (in my opinion, the "first SW movie that starts right after the final scene of the previous episode" has been a failure, thanks to RJ; SW works better with time gaps between films; if you're gonna ignore the time gaps, at least DON'T RUIN the previous ending with an unnecessary reshoot!) -Leia can fly like Mary Poppins in space but cannot move rocks to save herself and the Resistance -Poe Dameron turned into a hothead, bordering on "dangerous jerk" level -Finn is still too much of a comic relief, sometimes downright clumsy and who often survives-succeeds by blind luck and deux ex machina timing -The whole second act of the movie being a COMPLETE POINTLESS WASTE ( DJ, the plan to turn off the tracking device, the casino scenes, Holdo maybe is a traitor, Rey seemingly falling in love with Kylo Ren)--> DJ was obviously a cynical betrayer, you can't infiltrate **** because Phasma will appear out of nowhere, Holdo is a beacon of light, Rey is so gullible -Snoke being a suave, yet imposing-commanding figure in TFA, but then turned into a nasty, puerile bully in TLJ who mocks and downplays the potential of his new Tarkin (Hux) and his new Vader (Kylo Ren) -NONE, and I repeat, NONE of the BIG questions of TFA are answered (if Rey is a nobody then why is she so powerful and not ANY other random dude with hidden Force potential? Is she a nobody more powerful than other nobodies? is that why the Force "made" her find BB-8 and Finn back on Jakku to kickstart the ST? ; Who's Snoke and where did he come from?) and fails to answer the NEW questions (Why does Luke refuse to at least, somehow, engage Snoke, the new real baddie of the galaxy and its greatest threat since Sidious?-Why this obsession of Luke with Ben/Kylo while ignoring-downplaying Snoke? ; What did Rey see when she "touched" Kylo? ; Why didn't Snoke sense that Kylo was reaching Anakin's lightsaber with the Force to betray/kill him? ; When and how did Luke learn this ultra-useful Force Projection technique and why wasn't mastered or at least mentioned by previous Grand Master Jedi like Yoda himself? And why is this Force Projection technique so lethal when used? Did Luke die of exhaustion?) Second movie of the ST = second movie full of questions and holes...will IX fix things? -The puzzingly agressive feminist agenda of the second act (Holdo AND Leia vs Poe); I love, support, embrace and respect women, God knows I do, but I dislike pushy, abrassive, loud agendas; I rather prefer Cassian and Jyn working together than Holdo vs Poe); what's the point of Holdo? Is RJ and KK trying to tell us that a mysterious, slighty arrogant, cautious female leader is always preferable-less dangerous than a male hothead? Really, is this a Hillary vs Trump message? Has SW writing been reduced to this? AND at the expense of ruining one of the key new characters, Poe? -Leia dying offscreen between Ep VIII and IX instead of giving her a merciful death in Crait (Carrie WILL NOT appear in IX, confirmed) -Snoke and Luke (and Kylo Ren?) dying should have been the climax of IX; this doesn't feel like a bridge in a trilogy Conclusion: No, I didn't like this movie; first time I left the theater with a bad taste in my mouth since AOTC (I was too young to be shocked by Jar Jar in 1999, and Duel of the Fates blew me away) perhaps the return of JJ for IX will fix the many mistakes of TLJ...visually and thematically...unless they explain who's Snoke, this new trilogy will always be poo doo
