  1. I think since the game is so young, not many people have found their right class yet. I mostly see fools running around with their lightsabres. All my friends were like "O___o" when we ran our first Hard Mode and I flew up in the air, bombarded my enemies with fire, SHORYUKEN them in the face, make the whole flashpoint explode in a huge mushroom cloud of fire. They stood there with their lightsabres in awe.

  3. I guess I don't really have to remind most of you about the skill that 90% of PvE mobs have in this game. Namely, the 200000 meter knockback they always seem to save up just for YOU.
  4. I respecced multiple times during one week, up to the point where it would cost me around 85k. I took a deep breath and pushed the "accept" button, and to my joy, my credits did not change at all, and I got a respec even though it said it would cost me loads of credits. When I specced, and talked to the respeccer again just to check, the cost was down to 1000 credits. It either seems overcomplicated, or bugged. The NPC (or at least the accept/decline window) should provide accurate information about how it works.
  5. I can't tell you where I found them, but my character has a pair of "TT-15A Coercion Boots" equipped that are modifiable.
  6. To the helpful tips; Thanks. To the kids crying about Bioware not doing X (while they are working hard on a good MMO); cool story, bro.
  7. Hello. I've been using quite a few forums in my time, and the method I use to track threads I write in is to find the place where I can see my own posts, but in this forum I can't find it anywhere! Am I blind, and if I am, can you please point me in the right direction? ^^ Thanks!
  8. From my experience, and from what I've gathered reading forums and looking at other people playing, I'd say if you want to go deeper than 2 tiers into Shield Tech, you should always go at least 21 points for Jet Charge. And if you go 21 points deep into ST, you always want to use IGC, because otherwise most of the talents in ST are wasted. 21/2/18 works really well in huttball, and it has some nice range to it as well. If you want to go deeper into Adv. Prototype or Pyrotech, it's not worth it to dump points in ST because you'll be gimped with a Shield Generator without IGC. 5% Shield Chance is worthless compared to a full DPS PVP spec with a Power Generator.
  9. Would it make your life easier, or just gathering/crafting things in an online game easier? It would be cool, but I doubt it's the way Bioware intended the crafting system to be. Honestly, I think it would cause crafting and selling items inflate the market due to the ease of access. I don't know if I would like that.
  10. Alacrity is for "activation time"'d and channelling abilities. Alacrity speeds those up, but as you might have noticed, there is no auto attack in this game, and as it is stated in the stats screen (under Tech), Alacrity only improves activation and channel. Since our only channelled ability is Flame Thrower (which I don't even know if it's affected by Alacrity or not), I'd say it's a pretty worthless stat. ^^ As above posters stated, shield/absorb/defence is the way to go, but don't neglect Accuracy if you get a piece with a hefty amount of s/a/d + Accuracy. Helps threat a bunch.
  11. Don't like chasing datacrons, don't do it. It's just as simple as that. Being an old school gamer, I've enjoyed playing all sorts of different games. Some have been easy, some have been hard. I enjoy having some "tough" content in a game that is generally way too easy for my taste.
  12. As a reference, I'm adding a screenshot of my keybinds! http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/197/screenshot2012010914141.jpg/
  13. I don't really have any problems managing at all. I mean, just keybind a layout and get used to it. I actually agree with the person above stating "Learn to manage", because that's exactly what the issue is. He's not bashing anyone, he's simply making a correct statement. I think of it this way; Keybind abilitys you use A LOT close by, and memorize them. I have my skills bound to Q, E, F, G, V, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, F1, F2, F3, F4, Mouse 5, Mouse 6, Mouse 3 and shift/alt modifiers on most of them. Actually, it's mostly shift-modifiers. You can also use shift-modifiers on buttons currently in use by other things, for example my inventory, character and crew skill windows are bound to X, C and Z respectively, but I have some abilities on Shift + C, Shift + X and Shift + Z. Once you play around a while you'll get used to it. If you plan on clicking on your skills, just bunch them up as good as you can, close to each other based on how often you plan on using said skill. I have no problems either. ^^
  14. http://swtorshieldtech.blogspot.com/2012/01/tanking-hybrid-mania.html This blog post takes up the most popular tanking builds and their difference from each other. As a side note, going more than 31 points in a talent tree is usually bad, since you'll lose survivability and threat talents in the lower tiers of the other trees.
  15. Any idea what's best between; 1) Using IGC for survivability and higher Flame Shield proc chance 2) Using CGC for 100% DoT uptime Or should I just try switching between them due to situation? What's the core idea?
