  1. Well, title I'm confused it it was implemented in this patch or if it still in the future? I'm talking about full moddable orange gear where you can change armoring, mod and enchantment.
  2. Moving after a cast time ability still seams off. You can for example still get dismounted on your speeder if yo move to early, even if the bar is full. And same with moving after casting a heal, the heal goes trough, but the bar says cancel because I move to earlier, and again, it is full and "finished" when i start to move. Things like this really eel counter intuitive. And in PvP it is problematic, especially since the numbers on screen doesn't always show up for heals and damage either.
  3. Hi! Just wonder what level of mods you get from different avenus in the game. And by level I mean Guardian Armoring 22 or Advanced Battle Enhancement 25 for example, I know you can talk about req. level and item level to, but the number at the end of the name seams like the most natural comparison I also know that there is green, blue and purple variants of most mods, bit doesn't they always have the same level requirement? and in essence it is purple mods I'm interested in! For example, reading gear level up guides for fresh 50 it seams that the daylie quest on Ilum and Belsavis reward level 22 mods themselvs, but the mods you can buy from a vendor for the commendatiosn are level 23. Link and post 5 by Nocturne Is this correct? Also, what level mods can be made from crafting like Cybertech? 23? and what of that is available as schematics from the trainer and the use of RE? Torhead Lastly, what levels are the mods in the tier 1-3 PvE and PvP gear respectively, so I can compare this to the mods available from other sources Thanks!
  4. Hi all, thanks for the great answers! You are right. But reading the other post there should be one, or is this jsut the case with post capitol planets? Does anyone know? Thanks! This is a great answer! So the question then is, wich one are really good? that IS good to know. Thanks, I did this search on Torhead. Are there any other bonus series? Else it is only Taris on my main that I seam to haven't done the main quest chain on, I must have done it on Nar Shaada beacuse I jsut did the bonus series after Alderan, hehe.
  5. Hi! Didn't know if this was the best forum for the question or not I've leveled mostly trough PvP and class quests as a republic side Sage. To avoid being over leveld for the class quests I've skipped almost all normal quests and Alderaan is more or less the only planet I did almost all quests on. I also have a Vanguard alt that only quested up to the beginning of Taris. On Alderaan you have the quest line that ends in you killing the false king, a rather epic end and good story. On Coruscant you have to "black bisector" story with the Gree. Both of these bring you all around the planet, ties different areas together and tells a story. This got me to wonder. Is there a similar quest line for each planet? A story line for the planet? Googling this give some hints that there is, but couldn't find a list of them or how you find them. It would be great to know witch initial quest that starts the story chain so you don't have to pick up every quest in the beginning hoping to get the right one Beacuse I would like to do them. And on another note, is there a list of Heroics somewhere? Thanks!
  6. This just means that more testing and effort by us the community is needed. so back to the frontpage with you! Obviously BioWare is listening, so we should get all information we can to them while we have there attention.
  7. Or I'm not sensative at all and just a bad scrub that really dosn't notice it either way But that polished feel is something that has stand out for GW and WoW for me. Warhammer Online was really bad sadly in that regard. The main issues I have now, aside from the speeder witch really annoys me, is that it sometimes just doesn't feel right. I think the movement issues that novaace is talking about below could be part of it. And also that I sometimes see the ability fire, the projectile move away, but no damage text appears (instant Telekenatic Wave I'm looking at you). I just passively register the health bars and only really do more then glance at them only when it is a close 1v1, so I can't say if the damage connects or not, and it is almost always the floating health bars I look at. I seldom look at the castbars at all so don't really now of does issues, but that was one of the major thing I liked that you pointed out in the movie. I follow WoW somewhat without playing it, was this the era of mods that showed the relative ping to the cast time bar, so that you could move or macro cancel the cast a bit earlier to start the next cast quicker to maximize DPS? In closing, I watch the GameBreakerTV cast the other day and Taugrim got a question about ability delay and he stated that I had adapted, gotten used to it and found the game really enjoyable regardless. I think I'm the same in this.
  8. Hi Xcore! (and all other the have contributed) First things first. Thanks for this. Great work and I'm glad you steped up and did it. Secondly, if you by any chance actully read this post, could you please read and respond to a PM I have sent you? Thirdly, I have followed this for a ling time, watch all the movies (even you long one) and continue to follow it now, but I ado have two questions: a) I can't really notice the difference in improvement? I mostly PvP on a sage and I only had some problems to start with, but it still "feels" the same, a bit off. And my speeder cast still cancels every time I move on instinct when the cast bar is full b) The main comparison for this is WoW, and I agree with the statement that one big reason a lot of MMOs failed the past years is that nothing feels as polished in comparison. But how does Guild Wars 1 stand up in your opinion. That is the game I PvP the most in (and EvE, but lets not go there) and the system is realy different but leavs you with the same natural, synced, responsive and polished feel in my opinion. Thanks again!
  9. Thanks for the answers! It seams more and more that rebuplic is the way to go, at least if you want more competition and shorter ques But nice to hear that the level overall is high when it comes to social interaction. I see some claims that the "kiddy WoW crowd" (wich i don't know if it exist really, or how bad it is if it does ) is being drawn in to the Sith side beacuse "evil is cool". Is their any merit to this? Both that a annoying kiddy crowed exisit and that they are pooling on one side? (I know I know, all this is speculation, but it fills the time until I get my invite)
  10. Are any of you on one of does pretty unbalanced servers so you have any experience with the PvP instance ques? Hutball should always be quick as it's cross-faction, but is it the classic "instant access" for republic and endless wait for Empire for the other two?
  11. Thanks for that one, I actually was looking for a excuse to do one more, hehe!
  12. Hi all, I’m just another guy waiting for early access to begin, I and some friends are discussing what faction we should roll, and I’m wondering if any of you can share your own impressions of the current situation. We are most likely rolling on a PvP server, and me myself are mostly drawn to PvP in all games. The things I’m wondering about are as follows: • Is there a clear and noticeable in-balance between the factions, and who’s in the lead? • Is there any noticeable difference in the type of players and resulting “culture” that each faction draws for itself? • What is your personal recommendation for faction choice if story, esthetics, light/dark-side and such aspects all are secondary to a great PvP experience with balanced population, mature competition, and minimal downtime? Simply, if PvP “fun” goes before RPG preferences, where should we go? If you search the net or look at forums and http://swtorprogress.com, I get the impression that Empire are in majority, and I personally feel that being on the minority side is usually better, especially when it comes to queued PvP instances. Open-world PvP seems to be, in most games, the most fun if essentially balanced, more fun for the underdog if the in-balance is small, and not fun for anyone but less frustrating for the majority side if the imbalance is significant. But does this hold true for SWTOR? Also, I have never been a WoW player, EVE-Online, Guild Wars and Warhammer Online where my games. But if we take WoW as an example, my impressions from vanilla-WoW friends where that their where a tangible and really noticeable difference in what kind of players each faction got. Horde seemed to be (or so if heard from friends, read on forums, and glimpsed in articles) the side with a higher age average (which doesn’t secure but heightens the odds for more “maturity”) and also the side with a more developed PvP community and PvP culture. Are any such similarities visible this early in SWTOR, and how are they then playing out? Disclaimer: Don’t take my WoW parallel as a point for discussion or provocation, I just used a reference to my impression of WoW as a bystander to get my point across that I’m interested and curious about any perceived differences between Empire and Republic when it comes to the drawn playerbase in SWTOR So please avoid any WoW vs. SWTOR flamewars. And I know my English is bad, sorry, it’s not my first language, and all trolls, please leave me be, I’m a friendly guy looking for some information! Thanks all!
