  1. For whatever reason, part of being light side is not having any romantic attachments.
  2. To me it's simple. Bioware apparently couldn't afford to continue the game beyond 50 the same way 1-50 was, with separate class and faction/planet stories. In RothC, they tried giving us just faction stories. It didn't seem too popular. (Though it also seemed very poorly decided, with super linear quests and over the top mob density) In Shaoow of Revan, they decided to give us one story, but make it grouping heavy. You can't go an hour, seemingly, without having to do a flashpoint. Thankfully you can do those solo, but only through the help of an overpowered PC that essentially does everything for you. SoR seemed to be even less popular than RotHC. So BW switched gears. From going from an expansion where there is a flashpoint to tell the story, they made the new expansion solo focused. Still perhaps a bit on the easy side, since companions are a bit overpowered, but at least your presence matters, unlike the solo flashpoints with the combat support droid. I've actually had companions die during KotFE and had to use heroic moment on occasion. And KotFE seems to be a success. Maybe it was because it actually catered to the primary population of MMORPGs - casual players and soloers, rather than the ones that screamed the loudest for attention (raiders, groupers). Maybe it was the movie and all the associated Star Wars marketing.. But regardless, it seems to be the future.
  3. All I can say is that Bergeron Colony has gone from Light 90% of the time (except orice time hours on the weekend) to hitting standard pretty much every night during the prime time hours and a bit beyond. Instead of 60 people on fleet, there is 160+ I suspect it's mostly the movie, but with a new Star Wars movie out every year, that's going to be the new normal. Star Wars has gone from a nearly dead property (in how it was used) to a blockbuster one, with a big marketing push constantly.
  4. No, but that's who they are apparently aiming the game at. People who have no lives up to spend all day playing SWTOR, buffing up their characters and then constantly bragging how easy it to to compensate for their lack of...
  5. So let me get this straight: For most of the game, people ignored heroics because they couldn't do them. With 4.0, people suddenly could do them solo and they suddenly did them a lot. This was apparently a bad thing and had to be nerfed? And even after this patch, companions are sill going to be significantly nerfed from 4.0 Basically it seems like you are saying, we don't want most of our players to have fun.
  6. The story doesn't make much sense in terms of logic. Like, you are the #1 most wanted person in the galaxy. So you just stroll on over to the homeworld without wearing a disguise or anything. Even after you are spotted, you don't do anything to alter your appearance. Not to mention, apparently they will let anyone onto the planet, no customs or having to go through a spaceport. Nope, just any random shuttle can fly in and drop off passengers.
  7. This has always been the case - certain people will min-max (aka optimize for combat) with characters with the best gear, best everything and then turn around and complain that the game is too easy
  8. I actually had a lot of trouble with him, not being in fear of dying, but I did so little damage it took almost 15 minutes. I really don't think there has been a more frustrating experience in a game like this. You finally beat him
  9. This is actually a common problem with the quest whatzit. It often leads you through enemy bases which can be a quick surprise death if you aren't careful.
  10. As long as they are 60 and not 61 or higher. Back in early access, I did that multiple times to get the legacy gear.
  11. I dunno, maybe "urse" is deemed too close to something else. IIRC, you can't even discuss the Arsenal spec without it being filtered.
  12. To me, one of the great ironies in KotFE with the Jedi and Sith now being best buddies, is that that Vaylin and Arcann are basically being Sith. Although even then, the Zakuul empire doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as the Sith in how they treat conquered worlds. Nor do they seem to enslave aliens. Or wipe out entire planets, like the Sith have (not just the Empreror, but what they did to Taris for instance. Or that farm world in the JK story). You could actually make the case that the player is on the wrong side. Even though Vaylin is pretty evil, she's not as bad as Valkorian.
  13. Strangely, some people with insta 60 characters do have it listed as finished. Including me.
  14. Eh, I died twice going from 60 to 65 during KOTFE and some of the boss fights were ridiculously long (close to 10 minutes). I'd say the difficulty is fine.
