that's how i tend to do it, regardless of character: no gear -> obroan: 1st MH/OH - any other slot can get full expertise via bolster, afaik not the weapons though 2nd relics - procs 3rd worthwhile set boni - depends on class 4th rest obroan -> brutalizer: 1st relics - bigger procs 2nd ear/implants - cheapest, alongside relics (also, if you're low budget, getting these first and skipping the augment kits for obroan version will get you fully augmented faster) 3rd weapons - most expensive 4th rest

hi there. well, where to start. is it your first char at level 55? generally, 55 pvp works a bit different than at lower levels. you might want to read into how bolster works, and augmenting your gear should be priority. you mentioned focus fire - now if several dps work together to bring you down, you can't expect to survive or get away easily all on your own. what about your team? did they help you at all in such situations? you got a few more defensive moves than you mentioned - an aoe knockback, a single target slow, your invincible selfstun bubble and a casted 8 second mezz (force lift). do you use those? in general, hiding in plain sight is good advice for healers. positioning is rather important, so you don't facetank all the other team's dps on the front line. so, find a nice pillar to break line of sight if needed, and stay as mobile as you can. get to know all the maps. finally, apparently the developers also though that sorc heals are a bit underwhelming as is. there's gonna be some buffs soon, so don't give up now. link and link, post #360 keep it up, i see lots of successful sorc/sage healers so it can be done, definitely

that's how i understood it in the thread in PTS section. with a wall in range and ppl carelessly coming close to it, rollbang would still be an awesome defense/offense move in pvp plz keep it that way

hm... you could enter outlaw's den with groups of 4 each, and practice there. only 'danger' would be interference of other visitors, but in doubt, strength in numbers. you're 8 ppl then

this reminds me of a screenshot i took way back, when i still had a PT tank: click me dat healing medal made me lol at the time ^^ on topic: yea, with selfheals and taunts, it's quite easy to get a bunch of medals rather quickly.

i got nerfed personally? @topic, late response oh well well, the infamous HS knockdown nerf. made me shed more than a couple e-tears, even made me ragequit, play something else, and then return to the game after a while, trying new things, but eventually, i picked up operative again. current state of concealment is not as bad as i thought. i really really like the new roll (even though the stuck bug still almost makes me /deskflip, more so after its 'fix'), no more slowed rolling, no more energy-juggling, dodge-chance added - despite being RNG - is awesome. stim-boost-revitalizers DCD, finally... something! shield-probe, ok, again, at least something. after playing a while, the root on HS has more than a few uses, and with latest interrupt added, it's fine now. joined the game in 2.2/2.3, and since then, it's gotten a lot better. so ya. heads up from me!

i like all of this event. even the silly pve stuff made me join my first WB/ops parties lol as for the topic of this thread, i agree with the point that if you pick up a quest labeled as [pvp] and go into an area where you're auto-flagged to everyone but your 3 mates in your party of 4, then you know what to expect. tried to solo the daily, got ganked by groups. helped a pve-geared friend, we got ganked (though, only a few times) by groups. tried to farm the droid that drops the green rep token + pet, got ganked a few times. got many 1v1 fights. got many XvX fights. joined some friends who were already in a 4-group which led to hilarious "oh sorry, didnt mean to"-moments. all good fun. and expected. the rep you gain from these two lousy quests can be skipped if you can't be bothered to accept the game mode intended for this area.

hi there, i've done a fair bit of searching the web and asked some of my ingame friends, and while i'm quite sure about it, i'd still like a confirmation about this item, since it initially caused some confusion on my part: The legacy-bound offhand focus "Gray Helix Focus" is the offhand i ought to use on a dps juggernaut, correct? The reason for my confusion was probably that most dps offhands got the label "generator" in their name. Further inspection of all the items in question revealed their item type being a focus which i assumed to be a sorc/assa thing. Thanks in advance

ye, only useful scenario. @EP, cover EP requires cover, so that's why we still use it. with 2.5 cover nerf, there were many operatives requesting the removal of this requirement, somewhat justified. it's almost like a useless emote now. in terms of energy, ofc it's high cost, but it's also a hard hitting ability. plus as you said yourself, its range is useful when your target is trying to kite you.
