If I put my real occupation here, no one would believe me anyway, LOL.
  1. Well mate, 100s of 1000s of people have been walking out the door, at a steady rate, since the end of the first month. If it's eluded you so far, then I guess it's eluded you. But can you at least acknowledge that a game doesn't have people walking out since the first month, nor losing 25% of subscribers in a matter of a few months, if it's hunky dory?
  2. I'm not sure you have really understood the question I've posed.
  3. Precisely my point. Prior to TORs release, could we have imagined this in our wildest dreams? No way.
  4. Yep, they sure did. Years back, even before the existence of the first TOR forum, when there was a group of us talking on the main Bioware forums about the rumoured Star Wars MMO, I kept saying over and over and over and over, until I was blue in the face, that they were likely to go the WoW route, but what they should do is tack some nice sandbox stuff onto the themepark. Why? because it keeps people engaged, even when the themepark gets old. Did they listen? Did anyone listen? Nope. Of course not. If you're not a game designer, you apparantly can't have good ideas.
  5. If it's SWG code before SOE totally ruined it, I'm first in line Gosh... imagine that... a sandbox game for people who can think. Back on the market.
  6. If you haven't noticed mate, they're trying to stop the game from hemorrhaging and dying on the operating table. Expansions are a long, long way off. If the game even lasts that long.
  7. Yep... too much time running around shouting, "We're fully voiced!" and "We've got story!" and not enough time making a game that was actually fun or challenging. Agree 100%
  8. Simple question. Prior to TORs release, did you ever think SWG would outlast it? Because, from where most realists are sitting, TORs not going to last as long as SWG did. It's a pretty mind-blowing concept, frankly. Especially considering how horrible most people think SWG was.
  9. Erm, TOR has to get about 5000 other things under its belt before it can even ponder ground combat between vehicles.
  10. If you think something similar is going to happen with TOR, seriously, don't hold your breath. You'll only hurt yourself.
  11. I reckon it won't happen at all. Well, when you see the way they're struggling with very simple bugs, not to mention, seem incapable of getting people transferred across servers properly, you've got to wonder whether they can even contemplate handling a massive move, such as letting people dual spec. Just calling it like I see it.. Their track record doesn't bode well. And let;s not get into the massively slashed workforce who would have to achieve this.
  12. Nope, you're not alone. The world has felt mostly lifeless since day one. Even with a relatively large number of people on a server, the world has still felt sterile. Compare and contrast to how GW2 feels and it's no contest.
  13. That's the extra communication after they punted the guy who communicated best, and most often, ie: Stephen Reid? Interesting POV you have there. Can't say I share it.
  14. I think there's a general arrogance that comes from the company, suggesting they never will. As a dear guildmate once said to me, they'll go down on the sinking ship, still shaking their fist at everyone but themselves, for not appreciating their amazing story.
