  1. That's a little bit alarmist wouldn't you say?
  2. Admittedly I never got far with Tera, a lot about it put me off. I liked GW2, but I always felt that the idea of balance was moot on the basis that everyone could heal, tank and deeps regardless so conventional wisdom could never really be applied, but I take your point and see what you're getting at.
  3. Man, you think the balancing is bad in swtor atm, try the pvp in wow right now. The pvp in wow is the most broken i've seen it in a long time. Swtor remains the most 'well-balanced'* pvp experience out of the current mmos on the market. It's the most fun at any rate. If you're looking for something different though, there's always Dota 2/LoL etc. Just remember to use 'mute all' at all times. There is no sense of progression though, and another thing to note is that the matches are long (45 to 90 mins) and you will be punished heavily (especially in Dota 2 right now) for leaving games, there aren't any casual friendly mobas apart from heroes of the storm and the balancing makes wow look good. Alternatively, take a few days off pvp altogether and then come back once you've cooled off. The pvp scene is small enough as it is here without more people abandoning ship. *Relatively speaking.
  4. I spent a truly shameful amount of credits, in fact I completely bankrupted my main. Still no Rancor. I've obviously annoyed RNGeesus at some point, I suspect he finds my lack of faith disturbing. Whatever, I have given up, I've reasoned that, as I can now no longer even afford to buy the Dathomir one off the GTN, I will wait for one to inevitably become available on the Cartel Market which is purchasable for CCs. Presumably it will be armoured.
  5. I have to admit the recent patch, the way it broke things, the shady alteration in pricing, the drop rates, the endless fluff, the lacklustre events. It's taken a lot of the wind out of my sails. I think i've spent all of half an hour ingame this week, I just log in, realise I have no enthusiasm for it and log off. If I can't get back into a frame of mind where I feel I want to level an alt then that'll be me done for a while and to hell with early access. I can't shake the feeling i'm being so badly short changed, and the game isn't even fun for me anymore. The really horrible thing, is that any Star Wars games that come out for the next ten years are going to be incredibly poor. Edit: Besides, it's the World Cup and in spite of England's (typically) poor performance, it's got me in the mood for some football manager, where I can continue to take Altrincham FC up through the leagues, led by their star acquisition and legendary central midfielder, Manny Panther.
  6. Elite Regulator's Faceguard does not have voice modulation.
  7. Hm. He lives not far from me. Maybe i'll ask him if he's full of **** in person. Edit: Then again, visiting a ******** council estate on the border of the ever-charming Salford and Swinton... Think i'll pass.
  8. I remember seeing something once about a returning player asking where these sets went. Aside from having it explained to him where they'd gone, someone also sardonically piped up saying they could expect to see them on the Cartel Market in the future. No way, I thought, not even EA would be that cheeky. 2.8 shut me up, didn't it.
  9. "... Maybe we want to stay hidden until kotor 3 is released." Cool marketing strategy bro. Obvious scam is obvious. Anyone who believes that guy's, admittedly audacious, BS instantly qualifies for a Darwin Award.
  10. Studiously avoiding using the word 'Eric' in fear of being accused of worshiping false idols.
  11. Amen brother, and may I just say Madam, congratulations on your excellent taste in bikinis. I would be most interested to see the fit, if you would be so kind as to model it.
  12. Let me rephrase. What I meant was I'd like him to acknowledge that he has seen and noted the feeling of slight discontent on the obviously shady practices of the company for which he is the employ of with some obtuse tautology in the vague hopes that he will take that to someone that may or may not give a toss. Everyone's a winner, Musco gets to look like he's doing his job at pacifying the great unwashed mob, the fickle mob find something new to complain about, and I can +1 my hyperbolic sense of self-importance safe in the full knowledge, completely repressed to all but the subconscious aspect of my mind, that nothing will ever get done about my concerns. In response to Darth Wicked's rather astute observation that Eric is not a god, or any kind of deity for that matter, I would have to agree, with no disrespect meant to the man, he has never really struck me as particularly all-knowing, although he rarely responds to requests, so I suppose in that regard he and every god ever made up have a lot in common. Do I think he hates his job? I'm quite sure I don't know. Do I think he gives a single **** about any single one of us and our petty first world issues? No, and just right too, I know I wouldn't. I do have a certain respect for the man though, on account of his front of seemingly inexhaustible patience. Were it left to me I would have been long past the point of telling us all to get a grip and stop being such colossal puffs, so credit where credit's due. I digress. He is the community manager and as such the single quasi-tangible link to the 'back-of-house' staff. He is therefore the 'go-to' guy when bringing something to the attention of the management, if my asking him to note something comes across as deification, well I don't know what to tell you, does flagging down a member of staff in a supermarket class as a request for divine intervention? Am I being condescending? Would you like a Snickers?
  13. I'd like to get a response from Eric on this. I feel there's enough profiteering as it is without EA taking the piss by hiking existing prices.
  14. I concur, it's not something that I would have seem a lot of, if at all, on Freedon Nadd, but suddenly there seems to be a few.
