  1. I really am sorry, every sniper thread I see you in you seem to be having a rough time, but dont blame the class when you are having an off game, learn from it. Snipers can and do very often 1v2 people because we have an abundance of abilities at our disposal. Of course we cant fight off and beat a marauder and a healer/caster but that doesnt mean this class is broken. Dont mean that to sound like a "l2p" post more of a dont judge what you dont understand post
  2. The problem with the juggernaut was definitely mitigation/gear -mainly mitigation- he sounds like an immortal specced jugg w/ good pvp gear, you shouldnt be doing a lot of damage to him, classes that do are only able to do so because of some serious issues with mitigation atm see this thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=155034 for a better explanation on that. as for the marauder i dont know, as you are engineering and your not saying what your engineering abilities, you are just mentioning basic abilities like snipe or SoS. which are definitely not engineerings main source of damage. Spec aside marauders are a tough fight for us, our main advantage being range, just remember leg shot is your friend, and watch their buffs for their defensive cooldowns, so you dont waste precious energy on someone who will shrug it off for the next 6 seconds.
  3. Our damage mitigation against heavy armor targets is higher than any other class. That said, we have great damage as long as you aren't spamming snipe and ambush when its off cd you really shouldnt have a problem. I completely destroy anyone (yes i'm geared but this applies to geared opponents as well) as long as they don't LoS I can drop them faster than any other class ive played. People will hardly stand still while you pummel them from afar but that is no damage issue. Sure there are circumstances where youll do **** damage, but that is so with every class. This doesn't mean our damage is generally ****
  4. it boils down to your playstyle, as a PvP sniper I skip this talent, but there are many other PvP snipers who use it. I think if you enjoy the plant and turret aspect more, then grab it as you will be taking advantage of it more often. But if you play a more mobile sniper (yes i said mobile sniper, deal with it) then its probably not a good talent to spec into for efficiency reasons and you wont have it up nearly as much. My thoughts, I dont take it, but to each his own

    To get 300k+ Dmg...

dont need gear, just need to try your hardest not to win the game, you will have the highest numbers by the end.
  6. idk what you're talking about, this thread is about none of those things. you just mentioned skill cap, and id have to disagree with you and agree with you on it at the same time. yes the player is always the deciding factor, but playing any spec of a sniper takes a lot more than say.. a mercenary
  7. I hope not I enjoy playing the least played class
  8. I wasn't aware of this, do you have a source for this?
  9. I don't think it's broken at all apart from the ability delay in cover, sorry your having issues. But that's just like, your opinion, man.
  10. Good points, but ATM the only mechanic that bugs me about the sniper (that's working as it should be at least) is being unable to cover while rooted
  11. Because we have a very high (maybe not the highest no on can tell this early) skill cap, this is what I and almost everyone else on the agent forums had hoped for pre-launch. Rank 58 so far and extremely satisfied
  12. We need to keep this thread on the first page so people stop following every negative read by making another just like it. People who haven't played and are checking out the forum thoughts to see if they should would also get a ver wrong impression, which is why I dispute all complaint threads.
  13. I stopped reading at "gamebreaking"
