It'd be nice to craft things at a faster rate if you do it yourself. When making the epics I'd rather stand still for 10 minutes than have my companion do it in an hour. Don't really understand the people on here who put sarcastic responses that don't contribute to the discussion. I guess they don't have anything better to do.

Whoever came up with the auto assign loot system has obviously never played an MMO. It often gives people the wrong gear, and there is literally no point to master loot. Guilds cannot use any sort of reward loot system, and you might have to see a piece of loot you need given to the wrong spec. UI is among the easiest things to code, and they completely failed at it. I love every other aspect of this game, but seriously give us a modifiable UI, control of loot, addons, and a combat text window.

Thanks to my good friend Vbras, we know how to fix this issue. First invite someone to you group and pass them lead, then leave the group. This has worked for us multiple times now.
