  1. Reading Knight Errant now, it's set about 1000 years before the prequel trilogy era. Pretty decent so far
  2. WoW has no sense of progression. At least in SWTOR, everything you do gives you CXP and Conquest points so you get something at least. People complain about the Command system but at least it exists. I also played WoW from 2011 to 2019 and finally just got bored. Also, SWTOR is far more progressive in their subscription policy. You can still play even if you don't sub, it's just a bit restricted. Unlike WoW or FF14, you can't even play at all even if you subbed in the past. Blizzard and Square Enix refuse to evolve with the times, the whole monthly sub system is a dying paradigm.
  3. everything. They gradually made the game more and more simple until there's practically nothing left.
  4. anyway i'm glad that there are so many things to do in SWTOR, there's quite a variety of activities and various things to learn. Compare that to WoW, which has dumbed down their game to appeal to the lowest common denominator, the ultra-casual, who get bored of the game and quit.
  5. well the devs need to make the raids (ops) available for free players. That's one reason LFG raids are dead.
  6. many things are regressing, man. Not just video games. I thought we'd have flying cars by 2020 but no instead our cities are turning into dumps and dangerous crime ridden hellholes like that Dredd 2012 movie.
  7. maybe EA has ruined BioWare, i don't know. I know the only good transparent gaming studio is that company that makes Path of Exile. EA was voted the worst company in America, LOL. But yea I don't like how EA's games are mostly just lootbox gambles. Either way, SWTOR is better than other MMORPGs. And it's Star Wars. Nuff' said
  8. SWTOR has the best story, that is actually interesting, unlike Final Fantasy 14. SWTOR is not overly simplistic like modern retail WoW is. SWTOR sticks to the mainstream MMORPG playstyle and doesn't veer off into really weird combat and gameplay like Elder Scrolls Online does. All in all, I think that SWTOR is the best MMORPG on the market right now. It's not perfect but it's better than any other MMORPG right now.
  9. is this still true today? Chapter 2 of Fallen Empire gives the most CXP per time? I just did it, and it gave only like 1400 Command Points and that was using a 100% CXP boost.
  10. i thought it was good but not that good. It kind of drags on at points. Nice name, by the way. MK-ULTRA
  11. is that one any good? I heard it sucks, but it was the first SW novel written
  12. you are my opposite then, I have avoided the majority of books from after RotJ period
  13. I stopped reading once I reached that New Jedi Order series, made it thru the first book and half of second. It was really bad writing, and I never much cared for the Luke, Han, Leia characters. Yea the aliens who came from outside the galaxy was very interesting, I think they are bringing back that concept with the new trilogy movie and the newer Thrawn books are hinting at it. I'll check out the X-Wing books, never read those either.
