What times would you suggest Bioware put? everyone is in a different time zone. If they used GMT many people wouldn't know there time difference from GMT.

WoW is the most popular and undisputed grand daddy of all mmo's .. do they purge names? Don't we all want Bioware to have their developers concentrating on adding new content than spending time worrying about purging accounts? If and when Bioware decides to purge inactive accouts will the next complaint from the masses be that there should be a priority to who gets what name first? I can see it now.. Bioware does an account purge and the people pushing for the name purge now still loses their desired name because someone beats them to it. Will they then claim it wasn't fair?

Honestly ... I would hope the majority of people would want all the developers concentrating on creating new content, WZ's and FP's. On or around the two year anniversary than Bioware can see about purging accounts and freeing up names if no one has been on in two years. Two years seems fair.. If anyone had been deployed in the service they would have been back by then.

Wouldn't the majority of everyone rather have the developers concentrating all their efforts on designing new content, FP's and WZ instead of working on a suggestion to change name or legacy system?

I'm on Bastion and when Bioware did the big server merges everyone was moved to their new corresponding server. Meaning if you were on a pvp server you were moved to a pvp server. Rp went to Rp and Pve to Pve. If you guys are die hard pvp why did you roll on a Pve server to begin with? I'm not trying get you mad but you obviously love pvp and I just can't fathom why you started on a Pve server. Some day Bioware will get around to doing what you are asking but really doubt it will be soon enough for your ranked team. If you love pvp as much as it appears... Transfer over a couple of toons to help your guild and team out. If you up and quit than you are letting the rest of your friends and team down. One more thing .... On Bastion it's a heck of a lot easier to pick up good players to fill out missing components of your team if you are short on players. (Edit) Ok... One last thing... I read another post you had and you stated you actually only have 3 toons at 55 you use to pvp. The others alts are for buffs and crafting. Come on... you made it sound like all of your toons are an intricate part within your ranked team and you have only 3! You don't need to transfer right now all your crafters at this time. Just transfer over the 3 you need so you can help your team out. Also the amount of posts you do for pvp (which i say are quite good) gives the idea you aren't going anywhere. I'm betting you won't unsubscribe. You like this game and forum posting so much you would miss it

Transferring just 1 for now and possibly another at a later date. I just hope transfers are available before the start of double Xp weekends

You are right... Bioware could make it easier by just explaining why people can not transfer from one server to another regardless of location. If bioware is worried about server balance than it couldn't hurt them just to say that.

My applogies.. you commented just a few posts above there was nothing but silence. Eric has kept us in the loop... Told us the transfers aren't ready to go live yet but will once everything is ready.. He also posted no NA to EU transfers for now as well. I would say that isn't silence at least it's some communication. If you are wanting to know why the delay or decision on destination servers than I'm afraid you are going to be disappointed. I would assume Eric at this time doesn't have or isn't allowed to say the reason or he would have told us in the first place.

Patience ......Eric responded earlier they were not going to release server transfer abiltity until its working properly. The goal is 6/25 but only if it is working correctly. You have your answer... There is no silence. They will release when it's fixed.

It’s totally understandable why Bioware priced their transfer at $18 per transfer. First as stated many times the transfer is competitive in pricing to other MMO’s… and 2nd… its supply and demand. Since this is Star Wars we are talking about let me use Disney as an example… just the previous weekend Disney raised their 1 day single park ticket for Disneyland up $5 to a grand total of $92 per adult. This increase is after a record breaking attendance and park revenue for them. Disney’s model was easy to read. They raised their rates….because people are willing to pay it…so…they keep inching the rates up and up see how far they can push it. Stock is up, Parks are still full…and Disney is making huge profits. For Bioware…..If there is a demand for transfers and people are willing to pay for it…than Bioware priced it correctly. If hardly anyone transfers…than Bioware started the rate to high and will lower it accordingly with “discounts”. So I can’t blame Bioware … they are in a business to make money as fast as they can…..and if they believe this is the direction to make the most money then they will do it. Now will Bioware eventually destroy themselves ….that I have no idea.

Not sure on number 1 officially but for question 2 ..you are correct with your assumptions...the incoming transfer will be flagged to rename at log in once the transfer goes through.. Similar to when we had the server merges and the recent APAC server transfers.

Well you might want to post your concern in the Customer Service forums where maybe you will get an answer...here in general discussion you will get nothing. You might also want to be a little more specific on which server you are lagging on rather than making a blanket statement. Bastion has been fine for me all evening.

Well blizzard charges $25 a toon on WoW. So Biowares cost isnt surprising at all. Yes the cost is expensive to transfer but I for one am happy we even have the option to transfer. So for me the cost is worth it rather than sitting on a server I don't care to be on.

They will eventually have an app for the windows phone I'm sure...Blackberry? Jury is out on that one.... who knows how long they will be around. At least Bioware has the apps on the two most popular phone systems...and they are free. It's really easy to use and you never have to reconfirm any email address.
