  1. I'm thinking full BiS and a loaded group a Marauder or Sniper could do it on HM Styrak judging by the 2.7K they are already getting. I'm think a properly played and spec'd PT could probably get 2.7K in the same situation considering I'm really not that good, and I'm the 3 button spec which will do less. 7% difference. Was it 5% difference or 10% difference BW were aiming for

  3. OK, went again tonight. Lagging a bit, but still did better with the 4 set piece. Burning averaging for 600-700 per tick. The only fight that anybody said anything about was Styrak. Carnage Marauder got 2683 and the sniper said 2200. The other PT didn't say, but his gear isn't near mine so I believe it was less. Considering I'm nearly only ever hitting 3 buttons I think it is pretty good. I'm sure others could do better, or better still with a proper spec, but it works more than well enough for everything we can currently do.
  4. Western Australia, so midday here now. I agree with you that IM is pretty much useless. I'll only use it sub 30% due to my build going up that far in Pyro, and when it's free with all cool downs. Even then if my heat is a little higher than intended I'll use TSO on Flameburst for the hope of proc'ing Rail Shot. CGC I can't remember what it used to hit for. I thought it was around 300-350, so the 415 (404 on the old logs) it currently is hitting for is a smaller upgrade for 5 new levels than other abilities seem to be. Only really comparing to Rail Shot there though. In regards to progression that would be up to the guild. Mine has no problem with me bringing my PT, but if it was obvious that PT's couldn't cut it (which to me they are capable) then I would switch to one of my other characters like I switched from my Merc to the PT.
  5. Until you get the talent that vents heat on Rail Shotting a burning target they can be very annoying.
  6. I don't think that is a problem with Rail Shot, I think that is because the Anomalies hps have scaled so much differently to damage output. Their hps has trippled (I think?), our damage has gone up about 50-100% (we have already established my memory is bad, but I could have sworn that with full BiS rail shot average hit was 2.2-2.3K). If you look at the logs I posted it seems to be getting an average hit of about 4K (minimum that wasn't due to a mistimed shot at the break dancing Kell Dragon of 3K). I didn't have the 8% damage on that either (got that last night yay). I'll set a reminder to upload my logs from tonight's run to see what the extra gear does. Also to the person who suggested swapping out the 2% personal damage reduction for 5% targeted in the tanking tree I had some discussions with guildy's. That debuff doesn't stack, all tank classes pretty much get it, so we decided it wasn't worth swapping over. The 2% melee and ranged defence in the Pyro tree was pretty much decided that it didn't matter. Can go into either one as there are adds that can be slowed, but neither is very useful in an op. Saying that, I wish I had of changed it for last night when I was forced to DPS tank Terror for 3 turns. Great healers to keep me up through that.

  9. 2.4K on Styrak isn't dead. Sure it's not the 2.6K sniper's/marauder's/jugg's are getting, but it is more than enough for current content. Better than I'm doing on my merc, which isn't helped by the fact that using unload activates the GCD and the animation but doesn't actually go off for me. I probably should get gear for my sniper and see what I can do, but whilst leveling I didn't like it.
  10. As I said I pretty much only use it when I use my on use damage buffs (relic, adrenal, CF). If you notice your relic of SA proc go ahead and fire of IM, but if not it doesn't matter that much. To me raid awareness is more important as long as I am doing enough. In my original post I also forgot to say I use the shoulder cannon. Couple that with your on use cool downs, does heaps of damage.

  13. Where is this list? I don't care about the PvP ones, just want to see what PvE ones I should ignore until (if) they are fixed. The only one I have come across myself is the Exploration one for Alderaan got stuck at 70/80 even though all listed objectives have been completed.
  14. I'm still using the old 2 button spec. Probably not the best, but I get to be lazy and viable. Got 2397 on 8m HM Styrak last night. I haven't uploaded my log though. I'll see if I can remember what gear I am running and post that. I use one of the new re-usable stims though so the fully buffed stats are out. I think it is 3191 aim and 1296 power.
  15. Seemed a lot easier than 8 man, although that may be because we have a couple more weeks worth of gear now. Well, that and the fight doesn't change. Can't remember, did we get it on the second pull (first real pull, good job with the random placement of the mouse and accidentally clicking charge Execute) with the tank dying on the pull and a healer practically lagged out?
