It's been 29 years since the end of RotJ, it'll be ~33 when VII comes out, so I hope they just stick with the real life timeline and pick this story up where Luke is around 55 and the Obi-Wan character of the new trilogy like Lucas originally talked about. Then it doesn't need to eliminate any EU (that I know of), it can have Jaina and Ben as the new Jedi (I think... are they still alive?), and the story can continue all happy go lucky. I'm half excited and half nervous, but I guess at least now there are new Star Wars movies... something that didn't seem likely before. With Lucas consulting, it has a real chance of having the Star Wars feel of the original trilogy.

Pretty much this. I think 2 bars will suffice for most F2P (I haven't made it to 50 yet, but at 41 I'm still on 2 bars). If it's not enough, they can always throw a few bucks to get more. I actually think they should only get one slot. That will get them far enough in the game to decide if they like it and then pay a little to get an extra slot.

Well, I'm assuming I would risk being attacked... Like I said, I'm not complaining, I can live with spots here and there that are PVP so long as I'm not required to go into them in order to play the game... and I'm not. I'm just confused why a PVE server has PVP sections, that's all. As for the HK-51 being optional, I agree it is. I will probably "brave" the PVP area to get him, though, because I think he's worth it.

I'm not really complaining, because I'm only going to have to deal with this for a small part of a quest, but I'm a little confused on why there are any PVP elements when you roll on a PVE server. I mean, I picked PVE because I don't want to do PVP, but then I'm wondering around and accidentally stumble into a PVP section. Luckily I got out before I was flagged, though...

I hope that if Chapter 4 comes out, that it includes both class stories and more than one planet. Future chapters should be just as long as the chapters are now. I'm hoping Makeb (if not just one of the planets in Chapter 4) is just an extra in an update like Section X.

I'm going off of memory, but I believe your son could unlock extra character slots for 320CC. If that's truly $3.20 like I am thinking, then it isn't that bad of a buy if that's all that would have you subbing. My hope on the minimum statement is that they are going to do it like Gamefly does and start offering rewards after 3 months of continuous subscription and then add a little more after 6, 9, and 12 months. It gives the player an incentive to never let their subscription lapse and benefits BW with loyal subscribers. Maybe another extra bonus for your birthday month or Christmas. Either way, 500 is fair for me... it looks like a can buy a few things with that.

That's a shame. I was hoping there were certain criteria you could meet to get an extra bump.

It's 2 for f2p, which I think is fair. I'm more curious about the statement MINIMUM of 500CC. I wonder how you increase that number? I also agree that 500CC probably equals $5. Judging from the pricing in the Cartel Market that looks about right.

It's funny because I played the game for about the first 4-5 months after launch, and I thought you had to use the mod station then to upgrade gear. It wasn't until I came back last month that someone pointed out to me that I could do the ctrl-right click thing.

I'm not anti-f2p, but I think they are already giving them too much. It wouldn't surprise me if you see the restrictions tighten after a couple of months. Right now, only the lack of character slots and restriction on how much money you can carry would really affect me. It's very tempting to go f2p and just pay for more character slots.

Well, it looks like they're going to be offering a lot of vanity items, so if they drop enough coin a month, I might grab some of those. I'm also hoping that if they offer paid transfers in the future we will be able to pay in cartel coins. I might not want to pay real cash for some of my toons to come home, but if I already have the coins laying around...

They have plenty on ebay, but they're a bit pricey. It looks like most are selling at the $50 mark. A few months ago these could be had for $30.

I think this is what it's going to be. Just from looking at the bonus coins, I can't see it being much higher, that would top the bonus out at around $25, right? But then that means subscribers would only get $2 a month in cartel coins.
