  1. Lol. I used to clear all HM raids pre 2.0 with my Guardian, and I currently do now. Due to my time-zone I'm only able to raid with casual guilds since they are the only ones who have raids going when I get home from work. Your lack of knowledge shows quite strongly. Either that - or you haven't actually played with Guardian DPS. Obviously it depends on the group make-up but anyone saying a Guardian just can't come because they're a Guardian isn't worth raiding with, since they most likely can't even clear HM. If your group relies on Inspiration just to beat enrages then TBH you have more to worry about then the Guardian you don't want to bring.
  2. Sorry, but that's just not true. Guardian DPS can perform just as well if not better then other classes if played well - however their maximum dps is not as high as some other classes. They can still clear all content fine. I've never had a problem getting a group with my Guardian.
  3. Get your Guardian set bonus first since it will increase your DPS more from reducing the downtime of having to use Strike. You should have the 2 piece Guardian and Sentinel set bonuses ideally. Just don't use the accuracy and crit enhancements. You should be pulling the armoring out of the medium armor pieces anyway and use adaptive or heavy armor gear. Your increased damage reduction is one of the reasons Guardians can be good to bring to a raid. Short answer: You should have both 2 piece bonuses eventually so get which ever one you want first. Guardian set bonus should give higher dps gain though.
  4. Overkill will theoretically give you higher dps, but won't be as consistent as Might augments. The difference is like ~2-5 dps or something, so really makes no difference. This is just because Sentinel's have no main-stat talent.
  5. You *should* be fine, but it depends on the rest of the group. Personally I would go and buy the 66 shield/def or shield/absorb enhancements but you will most likely end up replacing them soon also.
  6. They are both capable of clearing content. Compared with a Commando, you will find it a lot harder to do the same dps on an assassin. Sin's have the potential to do reasonably high dps, but requires the class to be played near-perfectly if not perfectly. If you want a toon you can jump on and chill out, definitely go the Jugg. If you want a challenge then go with either.
  7. If you want to DPS in PvP don't even bother with a VG right now. They're 'viable' if you want to call them that in PvE, but as far as i've heard they're useless in PvP at 55. Tanking is still fine I believe, if not better then it used to be.
  8. Yeah, I haven't tanked in so long I forgot about the fact I didn't have the accuracy all my DPS toons have. Plus the fact i've never tanked on a VG, only my shadow I didn't even think it was accuracy since I wasn't familiar with everything yet.
  9. Yes, I have ion cell on, lol. I'm also 55. :<
  10. Sorry, forgot to add the info in the OP. Was whispering someone to try work it out lol. I was on my ship training dummy to work on my rotation and noticed when opening that it wasn't adding the 6 second dot, which meant I couldn't use HiB. So then I just started stock-striking to see if it kept doing it, but it didn't seem to. Then I tried just doing a normal rotation again and I had to do 3 stockstrikes to get the dot on after my opener. I'll try to get a parse of it tomorrow when I get home from work, but it's too late for me to mess around with it right now. :C
  11. Am I missing something? Trying to get more fluent with my VG tank, since I just started tanking on it yesterday and stockstrike is not proccing ion cell 100% of the time, even though the skill tree says it should. What's up with that?
  12. Mail/whisper Systanis on Pub side. Usually on around 11pm pst to 1am pst sun-thurs, and 6pm pst - 3am pst fri/sat. He lists them on the GTN so you can see he has the schem.
  13. It is also very much fight specific. If you have target swaps often then DF falls behind SS. If you can sit in one place and not have to worry about many other mechanics or you know how to manage uptime and can keep your damage doing then DF may pull ahead. SS is also proc reliant, whereas DF is not. There are many factors that come down to if one class or spec is better then another.
  14. Your point... The fact that people can clear content without parsers? Sure, I would have thought that would go without saying, but good on you for saying it anyway. The whole argument that everyone keeps bringing up like an alcoholic's dinner is that parsers are bad, and people get insulted from idiots who like to brag. Sure, I could brag all day long. Do I? No, because there are people out there who are better then me. Even if there wasn't, I still wouldn't because I prefer helping people improve and do just as well if not better then me then waste my time bragging over useless scores that really don't mean much to most people. My point is that people should stop whining about how such tools COULD be miss-used and start using them properly. Whining wont stop the problem. Help people so braggers have nothing to brag about.
