  1. So I'm doing my daily on my brand new level 11 Guardian and its Huttball. I've targeted the enemy ball carrier when I realize I'm on the vent. I realize this because I'm now flying through the air trying to orient myself while spamming Force leap. Next thing I know, there he is just before the fire near our endzone and I've come flying in like a boss. One master stroke later, killing blow (total props to the mara who was beating him down before I arrived but still, I was laughing like mad).
  2. I got to about the 6th page middle (taris) before I absolutely had to close the window ( RL). Love it. I'll try to finish catching up later.
  3. Didn't I respond to this? Was that in Jugs?
  4. Must have posted this right after I got off youtube, going to watch now.
  5. So, I've hit 15 with my mara and I'm not sure about my play. What I'm tending to do now is force leap in, Rupture, Battering Assault, Force Scream, Viscous Slash (most solo enemies are dead now with Vette shooting them). Then I'm usually going to Assault spam. I'm in Juyo form if it matters. I hit 30 fury really quick but don't pop beserk to much as I only have Rupture for bleeds and the creature its on usually dies to fast. Any thoughts on how I can do better?
  6. Well, I was thinking more about it killing the target but if the number is truly that close, watch out mom, here comes the vibro mara.
  7. OK, that's what I thought. For PVE that would be fine but when your looking to burst someone in PVP, wouldn't it be better to have that higher max crit potential, in the moment (I also recently started playing D2:LoD agian while waiting for my computer that can run SWTOR to finish being put together, and there, max damage seems to be king offensively [along with Increased Attack Speed] and SWTOR seems to have everyone stuck at the same GCD/attack speed)? Or is that just gambler's fallacy (I think I recalled that right)? *Edit* I know I'm going beyond the needs of the OP. I'm trying to convince myself its OK to actually do a vibroblade warrior to be like the darksiders that turned Ulic Qel Droma in the KoToR comics (who used an ancient alchemically forged Sith sword that could withstand lightsaber attacks). Because I'm probably going to be doing a lot of PVP with the alt, I would like my arguement to be destroyed. Thanks.
  8. Can you direct me where to find the numbers? I ask because I haven't really done CRPG number crunching and I am literally coming from doing 4E D&D DPR* calculations (I normally don't like math but that really attracted me for some reason). While that calc is different from SWTOR due to base damage being maxed prior to crit bonuses from magic weapons, even without magic bonuses, the difference (though minor) between a 1d8+1 vs 1d10 weapon was noticeable. I'm guessing SWTOR just modifies the normal damage roll by the crit damage multiplier (seems to be ~50% on my current toon) but that was why I was guessing that the glowstick has a higher max crit damage. * Damage Per Round, the expected damage a character will do with an at-will attack every round based on normalized at-level target defenses and accounting for critical hit percentages, etc.
  9. While the average damage is the same, I'm not sure how crits work in the coding and that gives me some concern (also, lightsabers have a higher crit max damage (due to higher max damage) would be my guess) so that might skew things upwards slightly for the glowsticks.
  10. +1 Seriously, this isn't rocket science. Organized Disciplined groups beat disorganized undisciplined groups, that's been a fact of warfare since oh, the Romans at least (Macedonians before that?).
  11. As someone who primarily queues up solo unless my friend who got me into the game is on, can I just say I find Doomsdaycomes posts to be reasonable and correct? Unfortunately, as often in life, it seems that being right is not enough, people want to get something for nothing (why should I work for it, I deserve it, give it to me for free. That guy over there didn't really work for it, it was handed to him by his friends). I never thought I'd post this in an internet forum as it goes against my idea of basic politeness but my God! QQ more please.
