  1. I'm pretty sure the Recharge and Buffs is a limitation of how the separation works. If you are using the Operative's move set, you are getting ALL of the Operative moves, Out Of Combat Rest, and Buff too.
  2. The best way to make the game Console Friendly is to use the FFXIV Method. It has a pretty wide array of abilities for each class, but the Console Controls are super intuitive, and even people who play on PC sometimes use Console Controls because they are super comfortable to use compared to Mouse and Keyboard. Your Ability Bars are condensed into 2, 8 button chunks. You use the Left and Right Triggers (You can even configure if you want to Hold the Triggers, or Press and release to activate the hotbar) to get into one of the 2 chunks, and then the ABXY (Or Playstation buttons) and D-Pad to fire your abilities. And you can ALSO on top of that use a combination of Left Trigger then Right Trigger or Right Trigger then Left Trigger to get into another hotbar that is on a different numbered hotbar (You get... I think 12 total numbers for hotbars in FFXIV usually people use it for utility skills that you don't need often) This is the ideal way to make a Tab Target MMO friendly to Console. And I'd totally play SW:ToR using FFXIV controls if they chose to implement them.
  3. Except... SW:ToR is far from 60 buttons on 6 bars. Every class's main rotation is around 6 to 8 buttons. Tanks have more buttons because of Defensive Cooldowns and Taunts. And Healers have more buttons because well, there's more heal buttons than most DPS have in their rotation. I've always used a single Ability bar for my entire rotation. That's only 12 buttons. And I've never felt that I need more than 4 Ability Bars in my almost 6 years of playing SW:ToR.
  4. There's a simple solution to this. Keep the ability, but add a tag that says "Player Targets are Unaffected By This Ability". You keep the ability and it's immense PvE utility, but you remove the utility in PvP. Done.
  5. While I love the sentiment behind this letter. It addresses none of the REAL issues behind the game. Issue 1: The FRAMERATE... Oh my god, I could not find a more abysmal released game on the optimization side. SW:TOR runs at a smooth 100 FPS when i'm not in combat with anything, even on Fleet with 100+ people in the same screen. But, every time I enter into a Warzone, my FPS tanks like a rock! Operations aren't as bad, I can at least get 30 - 60 FPS, which is tolerable. But, Sub 20's with Warzones, even Arenas? Hell no that's not tolerable! Especially with my specifications being LIGHTYEARS faster than the game's recommended specs! I have an i5-6600k clocked at 4.1 Ghz, with a GTX 970, and 16 GB of RAM, with the game installed on an SSD for faster loading times.I find it appalling that I can't get at MINIMUM 60 FPS in a Warzone while i'm in combat. Issue 2: Class Balance. Ok, I'm getting sick and tired of Healing Sorcerers and Hatred Assassins. I play an Annihilation Marauder, and I feel i'm pretty good at it. I don't die in 2.5s like most other Marauder players do, but I don't have anywhere near the damage and survivability combo of a Hatred Sin or a DPS Sorcerer. And, I refuse to play either of the classes, because I've put so much time into my Marauder already getting him to full 208 Augmented PvP Gear. And now i'm also working on my Operative and my Juggernaut getting them fully 208 geared! I shouldn't have to play one specific class to deal the best damage. All of the classes should have roughly equal damage between them. With Melee's initial damage being higher to compensate for the lack of Range. Issue 3: Lack of Operations Content. I'm really bored of running HM's and either Facerolling them, or being curbstomped (EC HM...) Give us something fresh! Give us an Op/Solo thing like you did with Shadow Of Revan in one of the chapters! Make the end fight be Vaylin or Arcaan himself! But, we want SOMETHING... Issue 4: No Incentive to do Flashpoints. I don't think i've EVER run a Flashpoint since 4.0 launched, hell even late into 3.0 I didn't do Flashpoints. There's faster ways to make Credits, Commendations, and Crafting Mats than Flashpoints, and i've seen the story to them like a kajillion times. Maybe you should Re-Work flashpoints to where they give a slightly less powerful Set Bonus 4 set that can be used as a stepping stone to Operations content? But, give us SOMETHING to do in them. They aren't even that great for leveling with...
  6. Here's how I generally start a fight as a Jugg Tank Saber Throw > Leap > Crushing Blow > Retaliation > Force Scream > Smash > Aegis Assault You don't want to Taunt immideately at the start, use Taunts when you lose aggro on a boss or adds.
  7. I can't even begin to reverse engineer what you are trying to say. Just *********** say that Premades are **** and that you are gonna quit the game and call it a bloody day. That's essentially what you were trying to say in a massive wall of text that NOBODY can read. Also, please go back to college and do some English classes, might help you get points across better.
  8. I do agree we are quite glassy, but the other problem is, our PvE damage is BARELY above the midline. Look at the Ideal stats for all 24 classes thread and you will see what I mean. PvP wise, we do need something to bolster our defenses. Maybe if AP got something akin to Arsenal's Decoy talent, and we got the old AP 35% Defense Chance boost. Or, if we got the ability to get like Flame Rebounder, a slightly more powerful version of Sonic Rebounder, but for Pyro only (OFC it activates with Threat Dump).
  9. It crits for decent damage. 99.99% of the time though, If I'm PvE'ing on my Sin, it's with Hatred.
  10. Firestorm actually hits for the same overall damage as a fully charged Flamethrower. I tested that with my DPS/Tank Hybrid Gear for PvP... And, Double DoT spread isn't that OP... Madness, Hatred, Annihilation, and Vengeance all have at LEAST 2 DoT's that spread (Vengeance has 3 low hitting DoTs to spread) It wouldn't be as OP as you think actually. And, in all honesty you could change it to be Firestorm with all 3 DoT's spread (just tack on a 100% chance to activate CGC on all targets hit by Firestorm) The only reason Firestorm hits like a "truck" is because it's so short. You are dealing ~8k damage in a 1.5s channel. Whereas Flamethrower for Pyro is ~10k over 3s. Much lower damage in a short order.
  11. Insulated Mats is a bit OP, Tanks should not get THAT much CD reduction on their AOE Taunt... I'd say swap Flame Suit and Flame Engine if anything. But IMHO, if you want Pyro to have good damage again, as they are just above middle line DPS, swap Firestorm AND Flame Engine, with Flaming Fist and Flame Suit. Just shuffle the other talents around and give Pyro Incend Missile first, then Firestorm, Immolate and Scorch. Also, make Scorch be spread by Firestorm, as you can as of 4.0 have more than 1 Scorch out on the field at a time.
  12. Personally, I think that Firestorm/Ion Storm and Flaming Fist/Shockstrike should be reversed. Give Firestorm/Ion Storm to Pyro/Plasma and FF/ShS to Shieldtech/Shield Spec. Then, remove the proc for the 1.5s channel on FT/PC for Tanks, and replace it with some flavor of defensive buff that stacks up with FT/PC use. Give the 1.5s channel proc to Pyro/Plasma. Problems solved. All tanks have a 3s Channeled ability, and Pyro/Plasma's DPS issues are fixed.
  13. Fury could use a slight survivability buff, and Anni could use some Bleed Heal buffs, and Carnage should get some way of making Gore less wasted after a CC. But other than that, Mercs need a bigger buff than Mara. Mercs need a USEFUL disengage. Rocket Out was an ok start, but make it have the same 100% defense Chance that Sniper Rolling and Mad Dashing does. Also, they could use a smidge better Self Healing. I think if Kolto Shell was swapped with Emergency Scan, Merc DPS survivability would go through the roof, kinda like how Operative DPS get Kolto Probes, and Sorc DPS get Resurgence. Merc DPS would get Kolto Shell, Kolto Dart, and Rapid Scan.
  14. You obtain Set Bonus Gear in 2 ways. PvP for the PvP gear, it all comes with Set Bonuses for each spec for that class. Costs around 3k Comms for the 204 Basic PvP SB Gear. PvE Setbonus gear is a bit harder. You need to do Operations to get that gear. Story Mode Karraga's Palace and Eternity Vault are the easiest to complete, and give you a large majority of the gear you need.
