  1. I am playing imp side. I am a saboteur, or at least I always have been.Just before starting the expansion I got to do that speech where I effed it up on purpose (hilarious btw). However, I am on Onderon, and so far, I have not been contacted by Jonas and I have not had any choices specifically labeled as saboteur options. Did I miss something? Did I lose my status? Or have I just not run into anything yet? Or is it not as obvious and specific as before? Thanks for any replies.
  2. I didn't expect that, but it felt like being a saboteur was just lip service.
  3. Don't be shortsighted. A larger audience for the game means more income means more production.
  4. Yes I would prefer to switch sides entirely, but that's not really my point. From an objective standpoint, the saboteur storyline fails because the saboteur character seems to accomplish very little for their true allies compared to what they accomplish for their original faction. Okay, my Sith screwed up some fighters and kept some farming data out of Imperial hands... while also killing a bunch of Jedi and capturing their leader. I handed the imperials a victory, and I don't think keeping farming data out of their hands is going to make up for the 20 Jedi I killed or the capture of their figurehead that I enabled. Furthermore, there were very few real dialogue options, a lot of things were said for me, and to be honest, a lot of those things just felt like lip service.
  5. I finally did Jedi Under Siege on my Sith Warrior, who despises the Empire for chewing her up and spitting her out the way it did. The Empire is just a meat grinder, and she never wants to go back. She sees herself as a friend to the Republic and wants to help them above anything else, so she sided with them in this storyline... except it's awful. Still forced to kill a bunch of pubbies and Jedi, still forced to at least capture Master Gnost-Dural (yeah I'm sure they're gonna treat him real well), and in actual dialogue options, still didn't get to really criticize the empire very much. Criticism of the empire came around automatically because of my choice to side against the Empire, and was never under my control. In fact, I had very few real dialogue options throughout this. Oh sure, I broke a few of their things, stole a few pieces of information, but it was all lip service compared to the victory I was forced to hand the Empire. Having played through the storyline as a Republic character, I can definitively say that if you had just let my Sith work with the Jedi, I would have been a lot more effective against the Empire than by sneaking around while still basically doing their bidding. It sucked. I hate it, thanks. BioWare needs to just accept that they need to let us actually switch sides, because this isn't good enough, and I felt horrible the entire time, and definitely felt like I was helping the Empire more than I was hurting them.
  6. It's a song. Kira is not manly. Why do you think she's manly? Because she's a woman who speaks her mind, a woman who asserts herself, a woman who doesn't feel the need to vogue constantly? What is wrong with you? Ten years ago was not the 1950s. People were asking ahead of time about these issues, including same gendered romances, and BioWare played it super safe and left any gayness or anything that would topple typical gender roles almost completely out of the game. Oh, we have Kira, who is a strong woman, but you think she's "manly" because of it. She's also in a submissive relationship (romantic or otherwise) with the PC. Yes, it is stupid. I always treat Quinn like garbage after he betrays me and in War for Iokath I finally paid him back for his treachery.. and I'm a light Sith! *facepalm* So your idea of romance is violence eh? Makes sense.
  7. Yeah, I love the main storylines for all the classes, but everything is so damned heteronormative.. and that is *not* a word I would normally employ. It's not just your companions, it's all the side characters you can flirt with on the way up, like Jaxo (I like her so much), or the enormous number of women the Smuggler male can flirt and sleep with. As the Smuggler female (my current project), all the dudes you can flirt with come on way too strong, as if the dialogue expects it, and is surprised by the fact you turn them down. The dude on Alderaan was the worst. He was coming onto me so hard, that IRL I would have been kind of freaked out. He gets me alone, comes on super hard, acts like a super creep.. even if I was straight, am I supposed to like that? The second time he came onto me, I actually asked Corso to stay with me, which is exactly what I would do IRL (I'm not romancing him, instead I'm treating him like he's my best friend, I love that guy). What a creeper! Meanwhile on the male playthroughs all the women you can flirt with are super submissive and commonly kind of ditzy. I mean hell, Skavak has left a trail of stupid women behind him that are apparently so in awe of his ugly, tattoo'd mug that they are willing to kill for him. Clearly written by men. Then as you mentioned, the lack of force sensitive men you can romance. I don't think this is any accident. In fact, I don't think it's an accident that so many romanceable women are force sensitive. Is there *any* force sensitive female companion you *can't* romance? After all, what better stereotypical male fantasy is there than to conquer the chick with the super powers? Hell DS Jaesa is like "Oh Master! I'm gonna be your baby machine and we're gonna conquer the galaxy" wdf... Clearly a force sensitive man, Jedi or Sith, is far too strong and powerful to be with such an alpha personality as the player character, it would be emasculating, which is why we don't see it. Why should some dude with super powers wanna take orders from a lady?
  8. I feel the same way. If I'm not represented, I don't play it.
  9. As a lesbian I need to chime in and say "Icky, men! Blegh!" On a more serious note... yeah it's weird right? I mean I never romance the men but that is very strange come to think of it. It seems like too big a deal to be a simple oversight.
  10. I use Flashy! Corso is my Smuggler girl's best friend and she will always treasure that gift. This weapon is still not being rewarded.
  11. I read somewhere that they added the ability to romance these companions as the same gender (finally), is this true? If so, is it only in Jedi Under Siege or was it also added in retroactively to the original campaign?
  12. Yeah I'm trying to keep abreast of info on the patch and the time zone effery is just screwing my brain.
  13. Cause they would only ever release it on Origin. They would never release it on Steam or GOG. Also the chances of them releasing an offline version are dramatically low.
