  1. In that case, I know it's not dumb to hope for an expansion. And I am! I recall that quote, but I suppose fear about the status of the game has been getting me down.
  2. I know it's dumb to hope for an expansion. But I am!
  3. Is anyone else getting this? I've been subbed from the beginning, and I have the 6 month plan. I click on the cartel coin page, it tells me I need to subscribe. I click the button, and it brings me to my account page where it shows that I'm already a subscriber. On and on ad nauseum. Am I not going to get any coins because of this, or is this just a problem with the site?
  4. Welcome back, OP! I went through a similar mmo pilgrimage post 1.2. I went back to wow, lotro, rift, tried tera, only to come running back to swtor. I'm not saying that swtor is perfect right now, because there are things that need to be expanded and improved on. But when it comes down to it, swtor has it going on in the right places. I am so picky now when it comes to GOOD story in questing that I really can't tolerate most of the other mmos on the market. (Am I the only one who thinks Gw2's 'heroic personal story quest' is laughable compared to what Bioware gave us?) I love the gameplay, love the content, and I love my server's community (Jedi Covenant represent!) There are things that swtor needs to get to the next level (more space combat options, more dynamic worlds, achievements, pazaak and other social games) but I'll be sticking around for good while Bioware implements them. I believe in swtor and the team at Bioware, and I'll stick with them for as long as the game is alive (and then, maybe even after).
  5. Same here. I was thinking about unsubbing, but BW is proving to me that they are listening and interested in implementing what we ask for. I'm sticking around because I believe in BW and SWTOR!
  6. I suspect after a few more GW2 beta events, the bloom will be off the rose. People cheering about the 'revolutionary' combat system and 'dynamic' events will be as bored as I was after a weekend. I guess we'll see.
  7. This. GW2 is moderately fun, but it's hardly the revolutionary mmo that people are trying to make it out to be. It's cobbled together a lot of other aspects from other games, to mixed success. We'll see how it plays out, I guess.
  8. Really, the only things I preferred in GW2 are the market interface and the dynamism of the worlds (especially the cities). Everything else wasn't really as revolutionary as the fanboys and ArenaNet would like us all to believe. I was especially disappointed with the so called 'dynamic events'. They made a huge deal about how GW2 wouldn't be linear and would feature a persistent world where your actions would have an impact, but I saw none of that. I saw the same events happening on a near clockwork schedule, and what was worse- they didn't scale to the number of players present. 5 or 50, it was the same number of enemies, the same objectives; pretty weak delivery on that promise. The writing was abysmal- though I suppose I"ve been spoiled and am unable to view it objectively. The combat was enjoyable, but unpolished. I had fun, I guess, but after a few hours I came back to swtor. There's your answer.
  9. I want this back! Bring back UH/TA chuckle!
  10. Just dropping in to say this is the best post I've ever seen in this forum. +100 alignment points of your choice- would LOL again.
  11. Both my boyfriend's and my CE's have been upgraded to release date delivery! Thank you Bioware and Amazon!
