  1. We need individual server forums please Bioware. Not groups of servers lumped together. Please listen to your community on this.
  2. Get a little tired of seeing this sort of stuff. Unles you're running CrossFireX (of which SLI has equivalent issues normally) there's no more driver tweaking needed than with Nvidia cards. Over the past year I owned dual HD5770s and a HD6870. I also owned a X1800XT and a X1950 in the past before those. Out of all the games I own (well over 50 currently) I have only had problems with two of them (The Witcher 2 and Skyrim), both of which were CrossFireX related. Single card I've had no problems whatsoever. People are too quick to blame just drivers for their problems. It's just as likely their own inadequacy that's at fault, but of course they don't want the internet to know that they failed. Heaven forbid. Sure everyones a desktop expert on the internet, some may even comment the same about my opinion but I find it hard to believe I am the only person on this planet who has had a relatively good experience with AMD and their drivers overall. I'm sure the same can be said about Nvidia. The truth is don't buy into brand loyalty, just read some reviews and buy what is good value for money for you. Both manufacturers do excellent cards, and if anything AMD are currently producing some top quality hardware (cards anyway). Nvidia just manage marketing better in my opinion.
  3. I'm running a XFX HD6870 on 12.1 drivers and am having zero issues at all to be honest.
  4. And you're playing a Bioware game why exactly? Bioware games have always been about the conversations. It's about building up the story and going on a journey. Not grinding your level until you hit end game content. They tried to make this game to be more than about just that and in that respect they succeeded.
  5. Yes, it couldn't possibly any any more of a contribution than the OP. /sarcasm
  6. This wouldn't even be a fair contest. Jedi would get destroyed. I think even the Sith would have an extremely bad day.
  7. I never stated it didn't make sense for them to do maintenance when people sleep. I said it made more sense to do it during a low peak time then a high peak time, mornings being a low peak time. Evenings are high peak. Generally until early morning as you'll find alot of people will play until 1-2am. I know I do as it's the only time I actually get any peace to play. I won't argue that an early morning (like 3am-8am) update wouldn't be better because that wouldn't be true, but a morning update isn't going to hurt a large majority either. What I wil say, and do believe in, is that if a patch is desperately needed it should be rolled out as soon as it's available. If that cuts into everyones playing time so be it. Do you want the game fixed or not? Of course if it wasn't released when ready everyone would complain that Bioware doesn't care about their game. They cannot win regardless. It's a few hours that you could go and do something else with your life other than play a video game (like troll the forums, lol). Make the most out of it. Rift and Guild Wars have both had server downtime during the European daytime. Global Agenda did a while back aswell. It's not as uncommon as you may think.
  8. A majority of people go to work/go to school/go to college/etc during the day. Makes more sense to have a daytime downtime then a night time downtime when the population hits its peak. Most people tend to play at night. It's generally pretty normal for most MMO's I've played. Most EU services have always had their updates done in the mornings. I'm beginning to think some of you people are just looking for an excuse to rage on this game.
  9. I'm personally having fun with the game, despite some of it's issues. I'm not cancelling my subscription. Stuff will get fixed. Bioware need to learn from their mistakes. They're dedicated to making this work, and considering this is their first attempt at a MMO, and only a few weeks old, I'll give them a little bit of slack.
  10. If you really want to get into the lore, start from the very beginning of the timeline I guess.
  11. It would certainly have been an interesting scenario. Dooku vs Windu, with no distractions? Hmm.
