  1. Dear Bioware, I've been a fan of the KOTOR and TOR games since I was a kid. I'm thrilled to say that I think this expansion does justice to the franchise. The talents need a little re-balancing (as a madness Sorc, I never EVER run out of force), but it's still fun. Progression is paced about right. Achievements are awesome. And, of course, the focused story is downright epic. Good move using more action cutscenes. In vanilla TOR, it sometimes felt like our class stories for 90% talking. RotHC balances it out and makes it interesting. A couple of concerns I would raise, just for your future expansions. As epic as the story is, I'm concerned that each respective factions follows the same basic story. Yes, there are a couple of twists to remind you where your place is in the galaxy, but it's pretty much the same fights and enemies at the end of the day. So it's really more like one of the planetary story-arcs than an actual class mission. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but please remember that one of the most engaging things about SWTOR is that each class had a unique story. If they become too similar, it will lose that magic. Second, the GSI missions are... cruel. Not the dailies, those are fine. The introductory missions, where you literally visit every single planet. I spent two days working on those missions. Two days. And what do I find at the very end? Oh, sorry, it's a Heroic 4. Needless to say, I was upset by this. It's very anti-climactic to work your way to that point and you don't even get to see the final prize unless you can find a few other people who pre-ordered the game and took the time to finish those quests. Heck, I still don't even know what the rewards are! Last time I ran across the galaxy, at least I got an HK-51 for it (and even though it was considered heroic at the end of that arc, I could still solo it). I still don't see the point for this GSI missions. And I guess I won't know until some peeps in my guild finally return to the game and play through the expansion and take two days to finish the quests. Just sayin'. It's a little cruel to do that. Otherwise, though, great expansion. I'm looking forward to seeing the future content you have planned.
  2. I don't think the missions are too hard or too easy. Quite fun, actually. I was able to complete all six of them after a couple tries with Grade 6 equipment, yelling "Oh crap! Oh crap!" the whole time. It's getting progressively easier, as it should. The complaint I have is that there is literally no incentive to go back and do most of those missions more than once. Sure, on Sunday a couple of weeklies are churned up, but even then that's only two of the six missions. What about the other four? Shouldn't there be some weekly mission involving them, too? Either this is a bug and weeklies just aren't showing up, or that's a huge oversight on Bioware's part.
  3. So my understanding from Dulfy.net was that there would be one heroic space mission every day, and the mission would depend on the day of the week. Yet, since the Saturday/Sunday weeklies, I have yet to get a single heroic mission. Did I understand incorrectly, or is there some bug?
  4. Out of curiosity, how would you fight against a claim from a company completely unrelated to your video? You mentioned Warner, which obviously doesn't have any rights in this... (at least as far as I'm aware). I've posted videos from other games before and one of them got a claim by FOX, but when I wanted to challenge the claim, YouTube doesn't really offer the option "You're wrong. There is no ground for this." Did you just delete and repost the video?
  5. I've been thinking about taking in-game videos using Fraps and sharing them with some friends using YouTube as an intermediary, but I certainly don't want to infringe on any copyright. Does anyone know anything about this? I've seen *multiple* videos of SWTOR on YouTube (even some full storylines!), but I don't want to be "that guy" who got singled out for some reason. For projects like this, I wish I was a lawyer...
  6. Hello Bioware, Let me start by saying I love your game and - before the silly looking new Tier 2 gear (seriously, the inquisitor looks like a sea monster) - I always thought you guys had great taste in the design of outfits and gear. Today, I realized that my level 50 sorceror had not yet finished the Dread Masters story arc on Belsavis. Since it's a pretty cool moment, I thought I'd record it with Fraps and hold onto it. I've since changed my mind. The new post-1.2 masks for the Dread Masters look absolutely ridiculous. Really, what the heck are they? Rubber serial-killer masks? It looks like they were drawn to be part of each lord's face, because the lips move and the mask-eye-holes blink. Are they made of bizarre rubber, then? It just doesn't work. I cannot, for the life of me, take them seriously. Please please please, reconsider those. I imagine that the Dread Masters could make a great story update later in the game, and I would hate for players to finally fight their way to the Dread Masters... only to pass out from a fit of giggles. (I apologize if this isn't appropriately filed under "General" but it didn't qualify as a heroic mission, nor would I classify it as "story and lore.")
  7. So I was browsing the post-1.2 PvP vendors and I noticed that there's pretty much nothing that can be done with Mercenary Commendations anymore. Nada. All you can do is spend them to get back your Warzone Commendations at a reduced rate... and considering it was a reduced rate to begin with, it's doubly bad. Am I missing something, here? Because it seems like the Mercenary Commendations are now the exact same thing as the Ranked Warzone Commendations... that is to say, you can buy 10 Ranked Comms for 30 WZ Comms, just as with the Merc Comms. Bioware? Rather than let me build a stack of 1000 of these puppies and get completely ripped off of my precious WZ Comms, couldn't you just convert the current Merc Comms into Ranked? There's literally no other function for them that I can find.
