  1. I would smuggle budgies. (This may be an Australian-only joke.)
  2. Plenty of very funny excuses, some of which I wouldn't mind using just for laughs, but if someone says: 'full run' then I try to only join if I have a reasonable allocation of time to do it (and the will). If I don't then it's fair play simply not to go. There's always someone who dc's or bails after the weekly with some lame excuse (or none at all). These days though TFB 16 can be completed with 13+, as could SnV I imagine and probably DF and/or DP though less so with pugs. Explosive diahorrea, Cat in blender, dog shat on baby = +1 for lulz.
  3. You'll have to forgive me, but they added this crap to Lotro and I found it infinitely turgid. It actually contributed to me leaving that game. That said, their effort at RP'ing this from the Empire pov is good. "Event vendors" and lame seasonal minigames are the bane of my mmo life... Stand around in a banahl 'festive outfit" in public areas throwing snowballs, 'virtually singing songs' and playing mock instruments will likely result in me reporting myself as a suicide risk. I know its a virtual world but for me, this crap is a step way over the crazy cliff.
  4. 1. I would - for the most part - agree with this. I am able to make a minimum 1 million creds a week with casual but regular effort. (6 toons, all craft once a day, 2 with 5 companions, 1 with 4, 2 with 3, and 1 with 2). FYI I think 3.5 million over a 4 day period is my best. 2. As a crafter I would agree that cartel market resale is a now very significant part of gtn turnover. It would seem that this is BW's way of white-marketing credit purchases. (buy coins for real cash, sell your excess from packs and get credits on the gtn) 3. The most significant changes for me have been in armormech and synthweaving armor piece sales. Only those 2 seem to have been very affected by the cartel market - mostly because the cartel armor items are of comparable style value and are flooded in the gtn, wearable at lower level and wearable by any toon. 4. Otherwise, crafting for leveling is softer in demand and price since 2.0 but other options have also opened up and they have been summarily more profitable overall so far. 5. In comparison to the Lotro economy (Imladris server), the SWTOR market (Master Dar Nala Server) is overall significantly healthier and more interesting. In comparison to WoWs economy (Barthilas) Master D's economy is not quite there, but it has held up INCREDIBLY well considering somewhat flat population numbers of late.
  5. If I didn't think I would get banned or charged for inciting real criminal activity I would say something completely dry and tongue-in-cheek like: "Yeah, get really, really upset about a computer game and go hurt the people who are making your life a misery and you will be much, much happier", but Im not saying that at all because you might think I was serious or that I respected your mental problem.
  6. I agree. I am not a pvper here on Master D - but to give them their due - this is an issue for PVP, likely not huge for PVE. Some of the PVPers on Master D are pretty fanatical (and decent from what I have seen) and there's probably the valid case that it will affect their competitiveness.
  7. Damn, all the actions in this thread. Clearly as an (ex)raider I'm missing out. Havent set foot in a WZ in months but it looks like Im missing out.... you PVP guys have the snappiest lines.
  8. Hellum, you were a good one to come across in FP's. I always knew I wouldnt have probs if you were healing. Thanks for the 63 cunning armourings too mate. Sad to see you go. Mavon you are indeed a racist - the number of times you have ridiculed my experiences with Azn women was upsetting. Very upsetting.... because they are amazing!
  9. It's good work. Laying a turd on the new content in the shortest amount of time is good, no doubt. I'm a bit concerned that when our group clears this (in what? 3 weeks? we all work and have only 5 hours of dedicated raiding a week)) we won't actually have anything else to do... Are we supposed to go back to TFB... again? Wish the SM was harder and the HM was comparatively harder again after that for S&V. Good work Woks though.
  10. It would be better to get a reference to a dev release or announcement on this otherwise it really is PURE speculation and wishful thinking. I see a number of posts of APAC people saying: "ok, Im putting up with the transfer but it *has* to go like this or that or else Ill unsub" Take the most pragmatic option: 1. go get your new names on your destination now, 2. Unpack your gbank or make preparations for transporting your gbank goodies 3. go back to playing the game and be happy. alternatively, post many raging protests on the forums for weeks on end and go pyschopathic when the awful true hits home AND then put up with the perceived horribly raw deal that you could have saved yourself from weeks ago (see 1, 2 and 3 above) /simplesolution However, If they did offer that to the EU -> NA server transfer then you have hope!
  11. And where you come from my friend, I see there is none of it at all ;-) It *may* be that I am one of the few, it may also be that I am simply one of the vocal few who think that their choice is not such a great big deal and really not quite so bad.
  12. Yep, that's as I recall it when we came across to APAC.
  13. I play on MDN and the merge to the US is a good thing. It may even end up being preferred to a APAC super server because I had some very serious concerns about the MDN community. I'm in Melbourne and my ping will go from 30ms on MDN to 175ms on Harbinger. I believe there may be times raiding in 8 man ops where this will cause a problem. But, it will likely never be a *serious* problem. I raid end game TFB HM and NiM EC at the moment and I have a great group of guys who I go with. What emerged in the MDN community I have never really experienced before (played Wow, Lotro and Eve) and is typified by the pretty horrendous display of responses since the APAC merger announcement and really surprised me not at all because I had come to expect the depth of crassness. The problem is that MDN is a small community and has not enough depth. But the further issue is that I am not certain that merging with Dalborra would actually have diluted the prevalence of said horrendous behaviour. But I think its also more than that and more subtle. Through merging with NA servers, APAC is effectively joining a much much larger cultural pool and I think thats a solution for me that is very inviting. There's always trolls, just as many in NA as there are in APAC, but through cultural diversity the experience is more pragmatic, more objective and is flavoured without personal cultural history - and this makes the proposition quite good. It was dissapointing and very uninviting to see APAC players respond the way they did at the server merge news and the reality is that I will and would happily trade my 145ms for a *much* bigger and *much more* diverse community - through diversity of characters and through a more diverse cultural pool I suspect I will actually enjoy myself much more than if it had been APAC players alone. I'm an Aussie and I support this move and I suspect now that it is in fact the move that will actually keep me playing longer than *any* other solution.
  14. woah champ, anything else you need to get off your chest?
