  1. Not sure why, but I don't delete all the in-game mail I get. Most time out and disappear, but the ones with all the rewards we get over the years I keep. I know I joined pre-launch, but the oldest mail I have is from my first toon, and that one is 3,601 days old putting it around February 2012. Anyone have mail that is older than that?
  2. Yeah, noticed that, but was hoping for an original just sans the collar. Would be a super easy fix to implement in the game if they cared, but that's several years too late.
  3. I played this game for years from beta through the Lv 65 content before taking a break. I rolled at least 15 toons and got most of them to max level because I enjoyed the content. The game today feels far too rushed. I hit level 30 today on an account I created only 3 days ago. Previously that would have taken at least two weeks of playing at least 3-4x as much as I have the past 3 days. The game isn't even challenging anymore. I'm 4 levels above max level for a planet by the time I hit it, and I am only doing a few heroics, the character story, and the planet story. I'm not using resting bonuses much and I don't touch the exp bonus that say 60 minutes but turn out to be 3 hours long. The game has had many great additions over the years, but the extreme experience increase mixed with the turbocharged pace of the game makes it feel like the game turned into a machine meant to grind people to end game as quickly as possible instead of enjoying the enormous story content that was the main draw of the game. I'm not looking back to the good old days. I just wish they toned down on the rocket ship ride through leveling that has turned it into easy mode that feels like where they accelerate the knighting process of a Jester in order to get him to face off against another knight (noob to endgame). Anyone else feel rushed though the content?
  4. Four years going on 9 now. I mean, seriously? I like the suggestion that you are simply awarded a skin that removes this if you choose to as a SUPER EASY fix. But now, microtransactions are more profitable. This game only has a few more years of life to it left anyway I suppose.
  5. Ok, if I remove Vette's slave collar, why does it still show on her? I seem to recall people mentioning this several years ago but would have thought it would have been addressed by now. I don't see any customizations that change this to keep her original look. Does this change once I leave DK or something? Thanks! EDIT: I slapped on a Shadowsilk Force Expert's Headgear that made it disappear, but really wanted to keep her original look without the slave collar. Could have used a toothpick to complete her rogue look, but those things go for tens of millions. The most expensive sliver of wood in the galaxy.
  6. On my 7th or 8th playthrough of Makeb and each time I wonder, how is it there is only the one shuttle that can get through the planet's storms and why do they need that ark to leave? I mean, how does this planet get supplies? How do people leave it without being destroyed by storms? How do tourists come to visit (it is a tourist planet)? Half the story arc is devoted to getting the entire planet of a million or so onto a huge ship in under 2 days (yeah right). Why aren't all the ships equipped to weather the storms? It would be like driving around Alaska in a car with no roof. People would adapt and get cars with roofs. Anyhoo, carry on.
  7. Had no idea it was a problem. I don't bother with the rotation because I get stuck on one vehicle for a while, but that would be freakin annoying.
  8. I challenge you to quote where I called you a jerk. I don't remember doing so, nor could I find it here after looking through the posts.
  9. Yep. I am not taking any of this personal until insults are lobbed my way, then I just roll my eyes and call them out for it. Disagree with me all you want, but I ask that you do it constructively and try to look at it from a different view. I originally posted this thread to point out my views on the subject knowing full well that as this is a forum, I had a high likelihood of having my views picked apart with responses that would range from respectful to straight out insults. I have been on forums for well over a decade in the early days of MMOs and nothing has really changed. That being said, it seems very few others either don't agree with me or just don't comment. In any case, I'm done here. Going to give the game one more honest try then see where I stand from there. I might just be pulling the plug and, headed back to Skyrim until No Man's Sky or Star Citizen finally come out. Maybe do some DA in there as well. For those who had civil input, thanks. Those who didn't, whatever.
  10. Bingo. All I have said is that I disagree. He keeps telling me I am a liar and then lashes out with his opinions. Darth-Obvious, I keep responding just to see if you will. I'm not even reading what you put anymore as you are just nerd-raging beyond belief. It seems YOU are the one who needs the final word, not me. My thread, remember? Now, if you don't have anything substantial to add beyond that which you have already put, I suggest you just move along with your life. In fact, that is what I will do. Not going to bother looking at this post anymore and turning off any notifications. Feel free to rage on. I am 100% done responding to you. Goodbye.
  11. 969,048 1/30/2011. Yeah, nowhere near the oldest. Was too busy playing EVE or LOTRO.
  12. Yep, I'm whining. Anytime someone offers a different view on something it must be whining. That, and I never once said I had trouble taking down mobs, just that I didn't realize how much I relied on HP left vs % and that threw off my rotations. Can nobody read? For me it was about immersion. Your immersion might be different. Telling me that I am full of it because my game experience is different from yours is bollocks.
  13. It would sell, and if you market it well, it would sell like hotcakes. FFS, there's a movie coming out with the original cast and this is the only Star Wars MMO out there. A great expansion would have revitalized this game for a while longer. This was advertised well, but I don't think it delivered what many of us were hoping.
  14. I see this as the same kind of story telling from RotHC and SoR, with slightly different packaging. The story isn't bad, just limited. I was actually hoping for a return to multiple stories because as I keep saying, the ability to play the game with 8 different classes with 8 different stories was the lifeblood of game in my opinion. This is the third expansion where we all play the same story no matter the class and to me that is the thing that signals the end for me. No, the OP understands perfectly well. It is not leaps and bounds beyond. They way it is told is as I have said many times. Playing a story without interruption was a great move on their part. To exceed the previous two expansions is not a huge feat. They felt like the game plateaued is all. No, we just see the expansion differently. To suggest that one or the other of us is wrong is simply misinterpreting a preference on how the game should be. For me, the game is done. I left for a bit after playing for 3 years past launch hoping for a bit of change from RotHC and SoR, but to me it is the same. Nothing I was hoping for in the way of diverse story lines.
