  1. Thank you very much, was quite baffled there.
  2. Hey, been quite some time since I played on my operative, but did a few Warzones just now and noticed something rather frustrating, and I've no idea what's causing it. My distraction (the interrupt) becomes completely unable to use. No idea why. First time I figured it was my energy, until I realised it didnt actually have any energy cost. Nor was it on CD at all during the next attempts. When the target, in this case an assassin (Imp vs Imp huttball) started to use a channelled spell, I noticed that my Distraction bar turned gray. As if I was targeting a friendly target. Pressing it did nothing, and it was first 'activated' for use again after I lancerated him. By then I was just about dead. Do Assassins have any "Disable Interrupts" spell at 50? Is it a bug, have anyone else encountered it? If it is a bug, do you know of any fixes? Was the issue in how I play, as in, some kind of state I randomly put my Operative in which somehow disables all interrupts from my part? As said, been quite some time since I played it, but it's horrible frustrating not to be able to do **** about a stupid channelled spell, and I cant recall anything making my interrupt unavailable like that from before. Thanks.
  3. The Foreign Legion's code of honour is probably better then a Jedi Code ripoff, in my opinion. So, something like this.. Edit: This of course would be more something the brass came up with and had the soldiers recite at every opportunity during training, to set a mindset, rather then a morale rising thing, which the OP's code look like. Probably not originating from the brass, either. ^^
  4. I think it may come down to a Learn to Play level to be honest. What I would do is have a good look at the spec, have a good look at the gear, and rethink the abilities used. There are plenty of specs out on the internet, so really just google "Good Vanguard Leveling Spec Swtor" and you should get a nice selection, usually with a lil how to play it best guide. If you get everything right, things will run very smoothly and you wont have much issues at all, if you get all the opposite you will be stuck dying constantly. This goes for what ever class you play. I am not saying you shouldn't reroll, though. Even if you fix everything and still feel "this class just isn't my thing", I really think you should try something else. But see if you at least can find out why you have been dying so much, because I really doubt it's the class. If you know what you did wrong, you wont do it again with your new character.
  5. Define rock more balls then Vanguard? Is it so, that you see commandos pull off more damage then you, and that's what you're focusing on? If this is the case, let me give you a pro tip, aight? Forget damage done. When you chose a class in a MMO, like this, if you only look at how effective the class is, you will end up changing class after every major patch because of the balancing. Vanguard is a close to medium range class with tanking possibilities. Good movement, no casting. Commando is a long range class with healing possibilities, with longer casts and pushbacks and the likes. The usual caster tools. This is what you should focus on, along with what kind of story you'd like since it's a massive part of this game. You can find all this info under the Game Info on this site, no problem. This way you will be more happy with your class, even with balancing and ups and downs. If you don't know if you like melee or caster the most, tank or healer, then only way to find out is trial and error. Level to about 25, test a bit of pvp and pve, get a taste of the storyline, and you should find out. No one can tell you what you'd enjoy, since we are all bloody different, right? You also asked about Consular Shadow, which is completely different from the two being a stealth class, but in the essence have more in common with Vanguard then Commando. No idea what line of thought you were in at all including it in the list, but there you have it.
  6. People who don't actually read the text, yet feel they are contributing by posting anyhow, need to get a grip. And no, this is not a wall of text. There are plenty of gaps to make it easy to follow, it's just a long post. And to be honest, even if he is a bit aggressive and finger pointing, he makes good points and I hope people actually bother to read it and help with a discussion more then "l2p". I've felt many of these bugs and issues myself, and it is rather gamebreaking. Targets not being pushed away at all, even with empty resolve, effectivly leads to demise. Especially if it's a quickburst class.
  7. Romanov Like the last tsar family in Russia, for you who have never bothered to look at anything which may be concidered history.
  8. Passing the ball in such a manner is no exploit, since it's all within the rules of the game. If they had jumped down into the pit, and then wallclimbed up on the other side, that would have been an exploit. This is just players being smart.
  9. I like how it currently is. While playing other MMOs, I often felt forced to stay in horrible games, only because I didn't want to get the penalty. Here, if a game is horrid, or I just want to join up with some other friend, or something like this, it's no problem and I don't have to feel any stress about it. Usually when people drop out, which people do anyhow if there is a penatly - just that they whine more then, they usually get replaced real fast. If not, then it will get way better once we get crossrealm pvp.
  10. Many many users feel an urge to vent their frustrations on the forums. And that's what we're seeing here. It's nothing new nor uncommon to games, especially MMOs which promote an active and social community.
  11. I was hoping the legacy system would unlock new races and such, rather then only expansions.
  12. Play Rep and be proud you're an underdog! These differences will be fixed before 1.2 I am sure. But, I've no doubt, there is a difference in the playerbase when it comes to people who focus mainly on PvP between the factions. This is due to PvPers in general tend to lean more towards the darker or more evil faction then the PvEers. You can see this in Rift, Wow (pre faction-transfer), and so on.
  13. And you need everything? Work on prioritizing your abilities instead of companing on the forums, maybe? More abilities = More ways to play your class. But in no way do you need to use even half of em. Sigh..
  14. Yeah I feel your pain, that's proper lame. Can't think of any solutions on standing foot how ever, but will add a comment to give the thread a bit more attention!
