  1. Cancelled my account yesterday. Have cleared EC probably over 20 times combined on normal and hard, EV and KP probably even more than that. Done all the hard mode flashpoints countless times. Nightmare mode EC doesn't even really interest me as it really isn't new content, just harder version of already existing content. Even when the new operation does finally go in I really don't think a single new operation would be enough to keep me interested when I have long since burned myself out on all the rest of the content in the game.
  2. EC would be a disaster in the group finder, even in story mode. I have been in group finder operations that have had problems on Soa, Bonethrasher, and the Fabricator Droid, I'd hate to see a group finder run on any of the EC bosses. I'd be impressed if they even got past Toth and Zorn, assuming it was a true PUG and not six people from the same guild plus two random people.
  3. I am a Shadow Tank and tank swap FB & SC just fine. Force speed and jump onto the tank works just fine.
  4. Everquest 1 still releases 54 man raids to this day, which is impressive that people are still able to get them done with the tiny population the game has these days. Pretty sure it's the only MMO that still does large scale PvE content, which is kind of sad since it's over 13 years old.
  5. Pretty sure it's not entirely random. If you queue for all hard mode flahspoints and you get matched with someone who only has Kaon Under Siege selected, you will be doing Kaon Under Seige. Though, if everyone has all flashpoints selected, you will get a random one.
  6. In Everquest 1, content updates in between expansions were rare, but the game has something like 19 expansion packs now. However, the difficulty of the raids, leveling speed, etc, meant that people running out of stuff to do was not the norm. Only the hardcore raiders would actually beat all the raids in an expansion before the next expansion came out. In fact, if memory serves me, the Avatar of War was not beaten for the first time without using an exploit until the night before the next expansion came out. The Gates of Discord expansion was not beaten by anybody before the Omens of War expansion came out.
  7. I have done the daily flashpoint every day except one I think since 1.3 and have done both the story mode ops each week, and so far, I have had only two bad experiences. The worst was in a KP run. Only myself (tank) and one of the DPS had ever done it before. Several wipes from people not killing targets in the right order and breaking CC. When we got to the Fabricator, I was the only one who knew how to do the puzzle, and the other tank and both the healers were very undergeared and inexperienced, which means the other tank was not able to tank the boss the whole way. Eventually we were able to get through it, but it took about 2.5 hours for the whole run. The other was in an EV run. We had an 11k HP healer who died and left after the first boss. We were able to 7 man the instance up through Soa, and had a wipe on Soa, then two DPS left. Finally after lots of waiting we refilled the group and were able to complete it. Other than that, it hasn't been too bad. A few jerks here and there but nothing I can't handle.
  8. OP should be glad he didn't play Everquest, which was designed for the average player to take a year to level from 1-50, and another year to level from 50-60. A good night at level 59 would yield 1 bar (1/25) of a level. As for TOR, this is probably the second fastest MMO I've ever played in terms of leveling (I think RIFT was a bit faster). If the leveling speed was any faster, people would be outleveling quests even more than they already are.
  9. When I started doing hard mode FPs shortly after release I was in Centurion gear with a few Champion pieces. If people complain about you using BM gear, they are idiots.
  10. OP: You could always do Lost Island on normal if hard mode is too... hard.
  11. Are you really complaining about a five minute queue? Go use the toilet and pour yourself a glass of water and come back and the game should be ready for you to start playing.
  12. When talking to the final boss in Esseles, a certain dialogue option will lead to a Trooper (if you have one and he wins the roll), saying: "Keep him talking, I'll flank him" When Vokk is standing right there.
  13. We have one healer operate the rightmost switch and our second tank operates the middle and left switches, with your stronger tank tanking the boss the whole fight and just dealing with the armor debuff. The healer on the ground is responsible for keeping the tank alive, while the healer operating the right switch is responsible for keeping the DPS and the tank operating the other two switches alive. If you are doing it on normal, swap between the right and middle panels. If you are doing hard mode, do right and left panels. This has always worked for us, and is the best way to maximize your DPS, provided the tank on the boss and his healer are able to keep up with the damage when they have 10 armor debuff stacks.
  14. The success or failure of server transfers will without a doubt determine if I stay subscribed or not.
  15. If they actually cared about this problem, server transfers and cross server PvP would have happened two months ago.
