  1. SWTOR is not a game that would offer you that mode. But there's a game out there that plays in space, offers similar features like you mentioned, and is not called "Adam"
  2. I can only say thank you Bioware for so promptly fixing the issue with this emergency maintenance. As one of the players who knows what that exploit was (you could literally conjure up 'free' items worth up to hundreds of thousands or even millions of credits in less than a minute), I'm glad this got fixed ASAP. On this I have to give kudos to Bioware for the quick fix. There were less than 48 hours between at least my reporting of the exploit and the patch - no idea if somebody noticed and reported this even earlier. You have to keep in mind that these things need to be read, forwarded appropriately, reproduced, you have to identify the underlying cause, fix it, test the fix, and then find the next available patch window. So the turnaround time was pretty great in my mind. And as inconveniencing as loosing 3 hours of playtime may be, it's way better than letting the server economies crash because players can conjure "free credits" or people complaining en masse about lost items if they got hit with the 'unprofitable' side of the exploit.
  3. This possibility was reported the very same day patch 1.2 (and legacy items) came out. From what I can remember, it went up the chain for investigation, and came back as "working as intended" due to the relatively high costs involved in desocketing the components.
  4. This fight is ridiculously easy if you bring two melee or two ranged (if you mix, it's a bit more diffucult) With two melee you stick the healer in the middle and have the tank take the boss for a walk around the edge platforms of the room - just move 5 steps if a lightning bubble gets dropped on the melee dps or your healer get's blocked on one side of the middle. With 2 ranged, have heal and ranged stack on the edge and have them move 5 steps once they catch a bubble.
  5. Yeah, another glorious masterstroke by Biofail: Should read:
  6. That is the soft enrage mechanic for the fight - it has nothing to do with LR-5's health. It happens after 'time x' into the fight: floor bubbles up everywhere and he drops fully grown lightning balls every 2 seconds. If you run into this, you don't have enough DPS on the boss. As for Sentinels making the fight non doable: rubbish. I've done this boss on hard mode twice with a Sentinel DD and a Commando/Gunslinger respectively. The melee DD requires some more precision in boss placement by the tank, but is perfectly doable.
  7. You typically only get 400k+ if you *massively* shield people, since damage absorbed by shield counts as healing ...
  8. I'm sure Bioware will give "artistic integrity as the reason for why ranked warzones aren't coming. Also expect a lot of clarification later
  9. It seems patch 1.2 changed the speeder noise playback from only playing when a speeder (any speeder) is moving to always on. This is highly annoying and makes any well populated location like the GTN, fleet banks, etc. almost unbearable, since you have an auditory background like standing on aircraft carriers flight deck with constant uninterrupted engine noises... This is almost as much a non-playable issue as it can get for me - am I the only one experiencing this?
  10. I just RE'd about 10 blue saber 22 hilts, and I think I got the purple schematic on the fourth or so. This is way better than average for a "390 RE skill required" streak with the current maximum skill of 400.
  11. Also, you can make lightsabers (with 390) I think. Since weapons can crit, you might end up with a 5 slot Lightsaber that you can stuff with a 51 daily hilt, a 56 crystal from hm kaon and endgame mods, enhancements etc to your liking. Be aware that these take three Biometric crystal alloys (1-2 will drop from the last boss in hard mode flashpoints or any normal mode operations boss).
  12. Yeah, you cannot really do a lot with 7 Mil to the server economy as a whole. You might be able to severely affect one or two targeted players by constantly underbidding their prices no matter what they sell, but even that takes way more effort than it's worth, and can easily be sidestepped by selling through an alt...
  13. Really? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfJ8lB2AoHk Ah - ignorance, blessed be thy name
  14. I've got some ideas for Alderaan medals: Denial: Prevent an enemy player who has entered the area around a turrent from successfully capturing the turret for <Y> seconds. Terrorizing: Make an enemy player flee from the control area around a turret your team is controlling for at least <X> seconds. Nuisance: Stay alive around an enemy controlled turret for at least <X> seconds without leaving the area around the turret. Not on my watch: Interrupt <X> capture attempts from enemy players on a friendly turret. Bait & Switch: Lure or distract an enemy player who is guarding a turret while another player from your team successfully captures the turret.
  15. Agreed - also this bites you if you get disconnected after the boss dies, since after a disconnect you typically have to run back in... Workaround: Have somebody loot the boss as soon as he's dead if things look bleak. Then you can all ponder over loot while staring at the dirt in your faces
