  1. Huh. First time I actually consider this a bug. All this time I had thought those nodes were unusable because some other chump had recently harvested them.
  2. Personally, I'm fine with the respec system as it is. I agree it's meant to be used to correct mistakes so you don't screw up a character you've worked on for so long. It does allow exploration of all branches, but there's a difference between exploration and bouncing back and forth between opposite roles because this or that flashpoint requires it. It does encourage diversity, and seeking out new people as opposed to trying to fill wildly different roles yourself. This is a massively multiplayer game after all, isn't it?
  3. One quick thing about the Training Droid item: I have killed a few near-dead players in PvP who'd insist on running away from my friendly saber, with it. Against strong enemies, the droid provides a minor DPS bonus, all things considered. Not too powerful, but I don't think it was ever Bioware's intention to give DD/CE players a significant advantage over normal customers.
  4. December Niner here. Hanging tight. Tomorrow's our day! Put on some music and celebrate!
  5. *handwave* This is not the thread you're looking for.
  6. December Niner here. Let's hope Bioware pulls something grand and lets us all in today. If not, well, it's just one more day. Be strong, Decemberists! Don't fall to the Whine Side!
  7. But is the item modification system working all right?
  8. I preordered quite recently, so I'm not in the game yet. So I've a question regarding character looks: is there any kind of customizable visual "style" system semi-independent of equipment? Or is it like WoW, the "old-fashioned" way, in which equips strictly govern how your character looks? Some MMORPGs allow changing the visual appearance of individual pieces of equipment one way or another. And most recently, DC Universe broke ground in my opinion by introducing a "styles" system: different items grant permanent access to different visual styles, which you can then mix and match to control your character's appearance regardless of what you've equipped "under the hood". Does SWTOR have anything similar or are we at the mercy of whatever appearance items impose on us? Personally, I'd like to look good without sacrificing my kickass potential.
  9. Good info, OP. Cheers, mate/lass. The trolls, their misinformation and baseless rumours can be rather depressing.
