  1. This thread seems to be full of that. Next beta event people need to just spend the weekend playing. I was pretty certain I wouldn't like SWTor, but I followed the development anyway to get facts rather then speculate, then gave it it's fare shake when it went live. I don't like this game, but I gave it a chance and tried out all of it's content and mechanics. I definitely wouldn't lie and not play it but say I did and spread around a bunch of false information, that's just childish.
  2. I'm a pvper but even the pve is pulling me in. And, shudder to think, I might actual do some crafting in GW2, at least for the guild influence.
  3. GW2 pretty much blows SWTOR out of the water then dips it's head back in to drown it. All of the features are there and it just feels open. I spent half a day just exploring and doing what I want. I imagine there will be some grind with guild influence but at least dailies and monthlies aren't locked into the same quests every day. It simply has that effect that makes me want to rush home and play, and once I'm in I can get into the action or interact with people right away instead of trying to motivate myself to do the same string of dailies or wait for the guild to show up to do the same raid.
  4. A grind is a grind, it's not something different for you even if you lie and claim you enjoy it. And to the guy a few posts back who said if you want something you have to work for it, pretty much everyone who's posted that they don't want dailies has suggested having a different way to work for it rather then running the same line of twenty something missions that take up an entire day of gaming. The daily mission and raid/pvp treadmill like SWTor has is not work, it's f'n slavery.
  5. If you pay money to buy a game, it is not free to play. A game that doesn't have a monthly subscription isn't by default free even though there are a lot of free to play games out there. The monthly subscription model isn't the successful model, it's simply been the available one and familiar.
  6. A subscription fee buys you a treadmill, it doesn't ensure any amount of quality or content. Labeling all games as subscription or free to play is a bit dated also, there's quite a few types of payment models, some work well and some don't.
  7. It's dead and buried. You're totally right about the sound specifically, especially for a Starwars game or SW anything, sound is sort of signature. Every planet including main hubs feel like the out of bounds areas in other games.
  8. I haven't used my logitech keyboard on this game but my logitech mouse profiles won't work. Thought it might be just windowed mode but it's the game itself.
  9. He knows that, hence the question. A very good question in fact, seems like a no-brainer given quite a few older games have had that feature. I'd rather quick sell junk at the vendor and hit the road with my companion right away and not have to wait for them to get back.
  10. The post asks why we think they left, it didn't state why they left. It could simply be they find the structure and mechanics of the game's design stale or just not the right fit for their playstyle. It's not at all difficult to predict how this games lifespan will play out and what we can expect form it a few months or years down the line, it's pretty cut and paste as far as mmo's go so at this point you pretty much know if you're staying or going and it doesn't have to be some emotional decision.
  11. In other words, once you're bored with level 50 dailies, make more alts to fill out the character selection screen that you can look at any time.
  12. They could at least grant us some credits per a kill then, sort of like looting npcs in pve even if you fail the mission.
  13. This game is a standard gear treadmill, what sort of players do you expect? It's not some utopia in game, it's the same type of people you'll group with that are on these forums.
  14. You have to go back to fleet so it feels like you're playing with other people.
  15. Make a build that works well in pvp and you should do just fine in pve.
