  1. With these bugs continually occurring every night and no fix in sight, many players on my rated team are quitting. It is hard to have fun doing rated pvp when every few games you get a 7v8 because of some stupid bug like spawn stuck, unable to click speeder in civil war, random game crash and then even though our team usually wins the 7v8 (because we mainly face terrible teams), the one player who is left out loses 30 rating or some ridiculous number that makes the entire night of rated pvp a waste (since you only get 3-6 rating per win, it can take 6-10 wins to make up for the 1 game where you are bugged). So given this, my rated team appears to be falling apart and as more and more of the few skilled pvpers left in this game quit, this games hope for a vibrant competitive pvp scene is going to die. This should be Bioware's top priority, fix these bugs...What are you waiting for? (most of these bugs have been around since BETA, so bioware has no excuse that it hasn't have enough time)
  2. Yes, there are lots of bugs like that in huttball at the moment. There are certain spots on the ramps in that map that if you get knocked back into that spot, you will be stuck there until someone pulls you or you die.
  3. I wish that Bioware would give us some acknowledgement that they know about these bugs and are working quickly to fix them. A lot of skilled players have already quit this game because of the debacle with rated wzs in 1.2, the long period of dead servers, and the bugs early in the game. A lot of players in my guild right now, one of the top rated pvp guilds on my server, are thinking of quitting this game because these bugs just ruin the fun. To keep this important player base (rateds mean nothing if all the skilled players quit the game), Bioware needs to do a better job at communicating with its subscribers so that we know they are working to fix these specific errors that are driving us crazy. (yes they have acknowledged the lag issues, but they have not mentioned the other two equally important problems)
  4. Another issue we had last night is that when we loaded into civil war, the game started and one of our players could not click on any of the speeders. He reloaded his UI, tried alt tabbing and coming back to the game, and none of this worked. Because of the deserter debuff he was booted from the warzone, lost 20 rating on a night where we were getting 2-4 rating per game, and he rage quit for the night because of all these bugs. A simple solution bioware should implement to help not punish players for the bugs in rated warzones could be to remove the deserter debuff in rated warzones only. Hence when people get one of the many bugs that makes you unable to leave the spawn area, the team still plays down a player but at least the player isn't punished if his team wins. This of course isn't a final solution for these bugs, they need to be fixed, but this seems like something that could be easily and quickly implemented to reduce the effects of these bugs (we win most of the games where we have these bugs that put us down 7v8).
  5. The lag is definitely server based because we will be in a rated warzone, talking to each other on team speak, and everyone experiences the lag at the same time, even the other team comments in /say about the lag. It may not be the entire server per say, but it is definitely instance based. It occurs only in warzones for me (I don't do pve so cannot comment on those instances).
  6. One thing I forgot to list, that is not a bug but just developer oversight, players should be able to reconnect to a RWZ if they are removed from the warzone. We usually get at least one game a day where one players game crashes, gets a stun in spawn bug, or some other issue that kicks him from the wz. This member should be able to reconnect to the warzone.
  7. There are many bugs right now that are making top end pvp very frustrating. My goal is to get a list of the key issues so that the devs can quickly fix these problems. I will start the list with the biggest three issues I can think of. 1. Warzone LAG. The server lag is just terrible right now and the frequent maintenance does not seem to help. These lag spikes are server based (not user side) and occur pretty frequently throughout the day. They usually last 10-15 seconds and seem to be occurring when you are in a wz. I am not sure of the exact cause but it seems that this occurs when another instance of the same wz starts or finishes (so you are in huttball and another huttball game starts while yours is in progress). This lag seems to have become very frequent since the launch of 1.3. 2. Global Cooldown Bugs. This issue has been going on since launch, has become much less frequent, but still occurs. What happens is you will hit an ability, when your global cool down is ready, and the cooldown will activate but the ability does not occur. So you just lost 1.5 secs of action, which in rateds or 1v1 can kill you. Usually the animation for the action you hit will go through but no damage occurs and the cd for that ability is not triggered, just the gcd. This is especially annoying for a marauder on ravage, I will sit there and start the animation for ravage, realize that its cd has not activated and I am not doing any damage. I have to cancel the animation by moving, wait for the gcd to reset, and then hit the action again. 3. Broken Rated Warzone Queues. This seems to be occurring at least once a day for my group, today it was horrendous and motivated me to start this thread. You will be queued with a full group, there will be another full group queued up, and the queue will not pop while both sides just sit there. We waited in queue for 1hr 15min before we gave up, and we know that other teams were getting in and out of rated warzones. At the end, there was another team that we were trying to simul queue with and both of us sat there queued waiting for 15min before both teams gave up.
  8. Also note that guys rating given his win loss ratio. With a rating just over 2000 and that good of a win loss ratio shows that you are only playing terrible teams (probably queue dodging because you are bad). I have a 100-15 record (not as impressive as 100-2) on my main and a rating of 2050, showing I don't play as many **** teams as you do.
  9. Fix dead servers first. I don't care about glitches in Huttball if I cannot even get into a wz to experience those bugs.
  10. Bioware, your game is dieing. 95% of your servers are dead and only a handful of servers are always active. Addressing this should be your top priority as you are losing the players on these 95% of servers. Devote all of your resources to providing a quick fix (cross server queues), and then in a month or two when you have a better strategy for addressing the issue you remove the quick fix and implement this better fix. The players on these dead servers cannot wait more months before you fix the dead server issue. We will not re-roll because we have thousands of hours devoted to these characters who we can now not use because bioware created to many servers at launch. Second, I see you are developing more PVE content. STOP. Your only priority should be fixing this dead server issue. After you fix this, the majority of your player base is interested in PVP, not PVE. Focus more on PVP content. Stop developing fluff like : legacy new space missions (maybe 1% of level 50 population does space missions) new operations (it is my impression that there are only a minority of players, maybe 30% at most, who PVE regularly) new companions (seriously? after we hit cap level which is pretty quick, we never use companions again) Instead, figure out what your player base does (I believe that most players do PVP very frequently) and devote the majority of your resources to improving that. This of course should only take place when there are not game breaking issues like 95% of servers being dead. When there is a game breaking issue, fix that immediately. Step 1: Announce a time frame for fixing dead servers so people on these servers have an idea of how long they need to wait, and work on getting this fixed immediately (taking months is not acceptable, unless you don't mind making Swtor F2P on these servers or losing all paying subscribers on these servers).
  11. backpeddling + anything is 50% less speed, its just game mechanics nothing to do with trig (not sure why you brought that up).
  12. suppose you are trying to pull someone in the fire in huttball, you walked a little to far into the fire and need to back up, but still are preparing to pull a guy, you turn around and try again? or do you backpeddle just slightly to position yourself better? sorry but using it is bad, unbinding it is worse. It has the occasional use.
  13. Legacy is a great con by bioware to fool the masses. Every patch you can guarantee some new "highly anticipated" legacy features will be included but really they are doing this because the programmers at bioware are lazy. The legacy features are easy to program and there are an infinite number of small features they can add, that take almost no time to code, and then they tell us all how they are improving the game.
  14. No, resolve allows you to be unable to act for up to 10 seconds.. Each action fills your resolve for exactly how many seconds the action makes you unable to act. So for a whirlwind, it fills 8/10ths of resolve. An electrocute only 4/10ths, etc.
