  1. Well first of all, you really don't get money...except from the pvp daily quests. Don't expect to make a lot of credits from pvp. What you get is valor, this comes from three main areas, killing people, finishing the warzone, and winning the warzone. Naturally you get more valor from winning then losing a warzone. The Battle of Alderaan is a basic capture and hold flag type deal. Go and claim a node and defend it. Two on left and right side one in the middle. Going around and trying to capture nodes is good, but it's even better to stay back and try to defend it. Huttball is a type of warzone where you try to score goals with a ball in an arena made by the hutts. All you need to do is to take the ball and bring it to the other endzone and just make sure you avoid getting killed or falling into traps along the way. You can pass the ball to other players, defend players with the ball, or kill opposing team members with the ball. Also in huttball the two teams can be composed of people from the same faction i.e. repub vs repub or imps vs imps, so if you're a Jedi, don't automatically think the Jedi running towards with his lightsaber drawn is your friend. Valor can be used to purchase pvp gear from the pvp vendors. As you increase in valor rank you'll be able to purchase higher lvl pvp gear. lvls 1-49 play in one pvp bracket, so thats why if you'll see varied lvls. Lvl 50 has it's own bracket to play in, however this lvl 50 bracket was made after the game was released, thus there are a lot of 50s who were able to get their pvp gear much easier and faster when there were no brackets, so in the beginning it will be tough and you will die a lot, but it'll get easier over time. I don't do a lot of pvp so I can't discuss more in detail, but this should be a good starting point.
  2. One thing to add is as you get more spells you may want to re-arrange spells on your quickslots. You don't have to unlock the slots to add spells to empty spaces, but if you want to re-arrange slots, say switch slot "1" with slot "2" you would have to unlock it. Make sure to remember to lock it again. I've done that from time to time and I've paid for it. You can also bring more quickslots onto your display, like having one on the right middle and left middle of your screen and having a bottom one below your main quickslot to give you more space. Just go into the menu screen and go to quickslots to activate those bars too.
  3. What are you having trouble with? This is the best section of the forums to ask questions and get feedback.
  4. Jedi Counselor is heal class for Jedi. It all depends on what you want to do, I guess seeing you already have a light saber wielding unit, you can go to the trooper/smuggler route
  5. I agree. I was getting these "lag" spikes too, but I knew my internet was good. The thing that totally fixed my problem was that I turned shadows off, by going through the preferences menu. This ended all those spikes and now I play normally, sadly when I die now I can't blame it on lag spike
  6. Just to note, the first time it's free to reset skill tree, but after that it costs money, but I think the dev team are coming with dual spec, which will be good for those people who want to pve and pvp with the same toon, but want to be different classes.
  7. Ok let me preface this by saying I play Republic, but the sith equivalent may be there too. For the Jedi Shadow, we have mind snap and another stun. Mind snap stuns any target, except droids for a minute and our other stun is for 8 second. Check to see if you can see if the sith assassin as something like that. The Jedi Sentinel has a cc which stuns droids for 1 min, check the sith equivalent. I don't have a sentinel so I don't know if there are more cc's My second toon (first being the shadow) is the Jedi Guardian (tank) which has a bunch of short cc's i.e. nothin more than 6 second with the avg being at 3 second.
  8. I was hoping you could address the speed of the mounts. So first tier is 90%, which is fine for the first tier, but then second tier (after spending is 210k training and 25k mount) it only jumps to 100%. The only benefit is that it's hard to get knocked off, and third tier is even more expensive with 110% speed bonus. Was this intentional or will the speed bonuses be better, i.e. 90. 130, 150 or something like that? Thanks!
  9. Worst case scenario you use your emergency fleet pass, that will take you directly back to the fleet. Just a warning it has a cool down of 18 hours
  10. WAIT!!! YOUR LEGACY WON'T GO TO A NEW SERVER So yes you can delete your characters, your legacy will stay only on that server it will not go from for example Server A to Server B!!
  11. I'll say this my 2011 Mackbook pro 13 inch is able to play this at low graphics and all it has the intel 3000hd graphic cards, you're gonna be fine. It all depends on what setting will you play it at, i.e. low, med, high, ultra or a combination of all.
  12. Low settings and also turn of shadows. I was a bit laggy and turned of shadows and now I have no problem.
  13. if you go to a place like torhead.com or db.darthater.com they should have skill trees for each advanced class. You can practice making builds just to see what it would look like from all the points you could use. Basically you'll use most of your points in one slot and then use the rest in the two others, usually in slots where you get passive bonuses.
  14. Ok so this is a question that I always wondered. If I were to come to a sith (I'm republic) and enter /say and then type hello or what's up etc would the sith be able to understand what I'm saying. Cause with another mmo where you fight dragons, orcs, and cows if one faction were to speak to another one it would just look like gibberish, wondering if that's the same with swtor too?
  15. Well your best bet for raids/heroics/fps is by either A going to the fleet and asking or B, if you got the raid/heroic/fp from the planet where you got the quest for said raid/heroic/fp
