  1. I was told to go to my front door during a live stream for 500 people in Black Desert. At first I blew it off for a long time, but the stream grew more an more curious. Sure enough a box was delivered to me with a letter. The letter was handwritten in calligraphy and read that I could not open the box until I went back to SWTOR and defeated the raid boss Soa... This was the letter http://imgur.com/a/QGp0i I played this game long ago and started my twitch career here, which I now do full time. I enjoyed SWTOR and fought Soa many times as I lead Exceptional Legion & Massive Legion on both Anchorhead and then Prophecy of the Five. Being an 8 year SWG vet I love Star Wars and loved my time here but eventually got pulled into Elder Scrolls and Black Desert and haven't played for 4 years. Today I am resubscribing, long story short the same person who somehow found the address I just moved to and mailed me a package has been making my cryptic videos for 2 years and submitting them to my stream through song request. Interestingly enough KeyboredNinja the resident SWTOR number crunching vet has been present in my chat and urging me to return to SWTOR around the same times as I would get these videos. If he is a part of it he is not acting alone, but mysteries aside I have returned to fight Soa and bring him down once and for all. I am writing this here because I care about the SWTOR community and truly loved my time here and will be coming back and bringing my now substantial twitch audience to hopfully help boost this great game. I need to kill Soa and cannot do it alone, when I logged into the Prophecy of the Five trying to build a raid team was a joke, so I ask you... which server should I transfer and who can help my guardian on this intergalactic mission for peace? I don't expect many to be interested but for the few bored who are, this is one of the many videos this anonymous group created to bring me back to the game
  2. Hey guys, its been a great journey for us over the last 2 years. From killing HM EV Soa with 8 Guardians, to thinking we were the World 19th NIM 8M Dash'Roode kill months after everyone stopped caring, to getting KeyboardNinja to agree with my crazy hybrid build for Guardian Tanking Nefra. Even PvPing with my no advance class Jedi Knight on stream was a blast lol! The memories have been incredible and I am saying goodbye here since we have always been a PvE guild. Those who think it is out of place should just be happy I am not shamelessly promoting my videos again haha! On the productive side of this we have a displaced 16 man team that ran evenings and a partial 8 man team that ran after Midnight EST on The Prophecy of the Five Server. Head over to ExceptionalLegion.com to either say goodbye, if you knew our members, or to post about your own raid team needs. Though I do not know exactly where each of them will go I'm sure most will be looking to get into another raiding guild for the Republic side, and probably Imperial as well. We are not moving to another game, I am simply going to retire from leading for the foreseeable future. This is the first time I'm admitting numbers and do so reluctantly for the inevitable flames to come, but in the spirit of full disclosure I have 7 Tradable Korrealis Barons and 2 Commanders that are coming with me, so if you are an investor on that server I feel obligated to share the knowledge that those just became rarer. I hope all the next generation game enhancements prove as enjoyable and moreso as the past and you all have a continued incredible journey in this great game of SWTOR. May the Force be with you all my friends. Blade Boques
  3. Hey guys, I setup an intro video for my stream that so many have asked me to highlight I created a music video to the clips and it turned out really well. Since so many of you guys have been a part of those highlights I want to share the finish product with you today. Hope it brings you 5 minutes of continual laughter and smiling! Best Raid Highlights of 2013 and early 2014
  4. I once Qed up a Czerka flashpoint and got 3 guardians to join us. Dream come true
  5. Unlike my usual videos that are just endless banter and me often looking around confused this is on the serious side and more refined as great moment for our guild. Though we have been working on it since around November and getting the final phase Calphayus as far down as 20k health before wiping... we have never actually killed it before Tuesday. Obviously there are many guilds that can handle this 16 man, but the comments from my stream viewers and those of the many people I talk to there are a huge amount of teams that would like to clear this but never have. I remember watching Chosen's 16M Council kill they had up probably 3-4 months ago endlessly trying to see what they did differently than us. I think a lot of raid leaders who have been reading guides, know the fight, but just haven't pushed through to the achievement should get a lot from our kill video also. So I humbly post it here for those interested. This is far from a guide, but rather a great showcase of how Exceptional Legion ended up handling each part of the fight. The big change that finally pushed us through that final burn was having a stop-on-a-dime moment of 16% for Bestia, Tyrans, Raptus and Calphayus 31%. From there I took Bestia off my normal safe area to the center and with preemptively popping all cooldowns we pushed through and nearly killed Bestia even before they really started powering up. I don't think we could have done it any other way with what we had. I owe a lot to the amazing community feedback we had while working through our 8 man clears, thank you for that. So in a small way I feel like I can give back to the next generation teams working towards the clear. I understand each raid team can often deal with attendance issues, and I've had a lot of people ask in my stream how to build a raid group. One thing I said what that there is no such thing as a perfect team and all leaders are used to dealing with scarcity. This particular evening our offtank or almost a year announced it was his final day playing the game, the mood was slightly melancholy and I knew if we did not achieve this today we would have had a long uphill battle to even try it again. Moreover, we had to find 4 "pugs" to even meet our numbers, in addition to two reses throughout the fight. So hopefully you guys get something out of this, 16 Man Hard mode Dread Council and please don't think I'm still posting too many videos. I mean come on I haven't posted a new thread about a kill vid in a long time Beslley I mean I didn't even make a new thread for our outrageous8 Guardians Kill EC SM Kephess fight LOL. Though since we're on that topic, there that is too. Pshh and they think we should be nerfed, nonsense!
  6. We had the boss reset for a dozen or so pulls in the very beginning of the fight, finally we figured out the person who had Raptus' aggro while he was jumping down was sitting on some edge of the railing everytime. Rather than give the boss a "nowhere" target to jump they reset instead. I think possibly since when the bosses go active again to jump to their targets some are in the portals the bosses do not think they have a target location and it bugs out. Definitely seems like a bug rather than intentional, but a bit more DPS will fix that. We've been able to have Brontes killed before they came down again to channel so you can guys too.
  7. Hey Jeff! Exceptional work out there tonight buddy. Thanks for the commentary compliment, though with that Kephess kill I felt less like a show host and more like a drill sergeant lol. The idea here is its very fun to play, I love the guardian class and want to see what we can do when it just comes down to us. Likewise I enjoy the videos others post and know many enjoy mine as well Thank you to the 50+ who tuned in tonight. As for the challenge aspect, I picked up 4 guardians off the fleet. They were not in my guild, and just learned it was a 8 Guardian Team when we pulled them so part of the hard work was convincing them I was serious. Moreover, 1 had never even seen the fight. He died first lol. The real excitement is in the during-raid course correction we had at every step! Actually damage was not as bad as I expected it, and we did one-shot it. I plan to come back here HM once the team is better equipped and trained. We run every Monday 7pm-9pm EST. Still 8 Guardians killing Kephess makes for an entertaining video. And exceptional entertainment is why we are all here my friends!
  8. Its certainly noteworthy for us! Without heals it really makes things different. If its too easy, HM won't be far off. We won't stop here either, TFB and SV are on our plate. The Gaurdians will Leap as far as we can!
  9. From the team that brought you SM and HM Eternity Vault clears, and an all-too-easy SM KP clear the 8 guardians fight EC SM tonight! 8 Guardian Raid Team fights Explosive Conflict tonight at 7:00pm EST! (1 hour) Live Streamed @ Twitch.tv/bladeboques! Support Your Daunting Republic Allies lol
  10. Pretty good question, at Exceptional Legion we try to build our own challenges. One of things we'll be running and live streaming in an hour at 7pm EST tonight is an 8 guardian raid lol. We are going to attack EC for the first time and will have a ton of fun doing it. We've already beaten EV HM so I have high expectations of a full EC SM clear. Try to setup the bosses you like the most in completely new ways. We have No healed 2-manned EV SM, 1 tanked NIM SV Dash'Roode, 4 Manned NIM EC Toth and Zorn etc. If you have a core raid team, keep it interesting for them is my suggestion.
  11. We ended up transferring our whole raid team to PTS for the Dread content, but really preferred not to. After we were so mistakenly hyped up on what we thought was a world 19th on NIM 8M Dash'Roode (several months after anyone kept track LOL) we really thought our only chance at being a progression contender was to run it all ceaselessly on the PTS. While the PTS is nice for debugging, and 100Mill repair funds, I agree with KeyboardNinja. PTS really should not be the grounds that host the race to world ranks. However, if the mechanics and damage are the same, that is where the real race will happen, or at the very least that is where the race will be decided. The next move is simply to log in faster than the next guild to get the live clears they have been doing for weeks. Especially with the character transfer unlimited lockouts will yield unlimited practice for people who would otherwise be stopped by live game limits. I'd much rather have broken bosses than see the NIM content in any form on the PTS. I mean come on, half the fun of Soa was seeing if the boss spawned for you in phase 3, or if the floor was even there for phase 2. I say fun in hindsight heh, it was not that great then, but it certainly created the experiences we all remember. I hope the devs release what they create, and let us fight over the challenge from there, regardless of the unexpected added challenges that come with that. The Dread Council couldn't be killed because of the Calphayus bug after being released, many fights stay on PTS forever and are still bugged when they go live. It is better to let us all play the game, and get things patched as they prove they must be since our proactive PTS attempts have often not served their full purpose.
  12. Another great one! Seriously can't wait to try this. I honestly would have missed it if not for being scolded in my thread about not posting new threads for new videos haha. Then I got the idea "I bet other old titled threads have great new vids in them" and here we have it!
  13. Hey its Alexstraza, how are your cats!? Well we are really short changing about 100 people who would want to see a crazy video by not making a new title thread. You see, last night we Killed Soa Hard Mode with 8 Gauardians and I think that it so cool I'd like to share it with you. But those who see this thread getting bumped just keep reading that old same title and think I'm trying to promote old news like Two Jedi Knights kill Soa lol. You are obviously right because of how many of my threads were deleted when I started posting a couple vids and threads in a week. Seems a new great kill would call for a new great thread but I do not fully understand our forum etiquette so here is my new reply in my old post for our new great kill lol.
  14. Guardians are the bulwark of The Republic, The Bastion of Peace and Hope AND a Guardian today is an investment in YOUR FUTURE!!!
