  1. Some things are limited by game mechanics, but that's just the nature of playing a game like this. No reason to let that stand in the way of good RP as far as I'm concerned. Besides NPC perceptions of player alignment are hardly foolproof. I've had Force-sensitive NPCs tell my very Light-side aligned Sith that they sense the Dark-side in them (notable exceptions being Jaesa in the SW story at the end of chapter 1 and Revan's Force ghost at the end of the Yavin IV storyline). Drawing a parallel to Taoism (not unreasonable considering Kurosawa films were partly an inspiration for the Jedi as I understand it) the "Gray Jedi" may simply view the Force like the Tao and see Light and Dark as aspects of it that each serve their purpose. But to each their own.
  2. You could RP as a gray Jedi, or one who disdains the entire idea of "Light side" vs "Dark side" in favor of "there is only the Force". To this person the entire Light vs. Dark could potentially be seen as an arbitrary division that has probably caused more harm than good.
  3. Because I want to run a FP and out of all of them there is precisely 1 that has the problem of not letting me return to my previous location. When that one comes up I just bail it and wait out the timer to try again. If that FP gave me the option to return to my previous location I wouldn't have to bail it.
  4. Because I'd like to run a flashpoint. There's no "risk" either. If Black Talon pops (and I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning to where I was) I just quit the group and they can run with 3 people, recruit a fourth, or use a companion. I would prefer that Black Talon (or Esseles) just be changed to let me return to my previous location.
  5. That would be the simplest way to it. I'd be happy with just letting me exit to "previous location".
  6. I don't mind the Black Talon, kind of a fun FP depending on the group. But the fact that where I exit is either the Fleet or Dromund Kaas kind of sucks when I queued for the random FP in the back end of some distant world. To return I have to fly back to whatever world I was on (costs money), then taxi/quick travel (costs money), and then work my way back from there (all of this costs time as well). Any other FP when I'm done will deposit me right where I left to join the FP from. Can we *please* change Black Talon (and the Pub version too naturally) to return us to our original point instead of randomly on our capital planet/fleet?
  7. Same problem here. Logged into game, queued for some activities, and suddenly got disconnected. Tried reconnecting and got the same message.
  8. What happens when two groups of people with very different ideas of what constitutes "rp" meet in the same space? What RP is or isn't is entirely subjective - for some it is Star Wars, for others it is Space Balls. Best bet is to keep RP to private instanced areas like Strongholds, Ships, and Guild Ships and then live with the chaos of the open world when you're there.
  9. Having one point on each planet, or at least the starter/capital planets be a free QT destination would help a lot to be sure, but I'm not sure it is necessary. The real issue here is the /stuck command doesn't always work and there's no good alternative to get out of that situation. A level 2 character on Tython shouldn't be needing to QT, and thus the credit cost should be irrelevant. I like the idea of a /kill or /die command that teleports one to the nearest med center. Might want to put a cooldown on it though, to stop it from being exploited as a form of "free" QT. Maybe having /stuck insta-kill players if it is on cooldown the same way it kills them if they're in combat?
  10. I would appreciate it if the GSI bot would take a single role to "round out" whatever roles I and my companion are covering. If we have tank/heal covered, have the bot do damage. If we have tank/damage covered, have the bot heal. Etc.
  11. I do appreciate the help. I'm autistic so apologies for missing the standard social convention here on the forums. I was just happy to have it working.
  12. Ok, following the aforementioned steps worked. The perma-door is now gone. Holy Havok that was a pain in the butt though.
  13. Character Faction: Empire 2nd Combat Style: Yes Primary: Sith Juggernaut Secondary: Sith Assassin Have reset the mission, as mentioned, encountering same issues again. Yes, I have tried reseting the UI (no effect). I tried changing graphics setting (normally ultra) - no settings had any effect, even going all the way down to low.
  14. Addendum: Reset the mission, went back, once again the main door is not clickable at all despite glowing. I'm reasonably sure exiting/entering enough times will get it clickable.
  15. 1. Story missions cannot be abandoned, or at the very least that option is not available. 2. I am not a Steam player.
