  1. Well, in general.. Players really come in 2 flavors. Those that Play the game...and those that speed through it. In endgame, you have both combined. Flashpoints should really be enjoyed lvl 1-49 as they come up. This will teach you the mechanics of the game and how to play your class. As well as "gear" you to correct gear level. HM Flashpoints(lvl 50-55)are for those that have already run the flashpoints a bijillion times and just want the endgear based on the comms and boss fights. Newbs will cause a HM run to last 1hour or so, whereas an "elite" or endgamer group knowledge should only take 20mins toops to complete. This is even the case with the forced "bonus bosses". Pick up Operations are alot more forgiving since, it's reasonable that people haven't done them since for whatever reason they haven't joined a guild. Plus, you get them starting at lvl 50-55. I should say they are forgiving up to a point...but not by much more than HM Flashpoints. These are the rules of Flashpoints... things like Tank leads charge, dps pick off weak > silver > gold > elites, healers heal not dps...and my personal favorite .... DO NOT WAKE THE CC'd MOBS(ALOT OF PEOPLE IGNORE THIS...since they are so awezome in there heads). So, if you wanna learn flashpoint even at lvl 55... go do easy modes and see where mobs are place, read the story at your leisure, learn mechanics of bosses.. and so forth without the pressure of forcing 3 or more other players to wait for you to catch up.
  2. when your considering buying from AUction house.... forget rhyme or reason. People are ****heads. They will place a lvl 11 gear for 30k as if a lvl 11(new) player can afford it. I've seen other silliness. My most important advice to you is from lvl's 1-54, don't worry about gear as long as you play storymode/flashpoints you'll have all the gear you'll ever need. At level 55, where gear tuning is a must, then yes start worrying about looking up Best in Slot for your playstyle. But, even then the game gives your gear opportunities left and right. We are talking about "elite" mentality. If you want to focus that hard on a virtual game character I'd suggest seeking professional help...especially if your a "ganker" waiting ingame "non-pvp" area and waiting for players doing things to screw with them. Pathetic.
  3. I posted a thread about where's my Tank "spammable" move.. and people pointed out taunts and guard. I didn't mean. group affect I meant self spams. Yes, I know about blade barrier and riposte but...I just don't feel "tanky" when healers heal from 1million..and dps can also get those numbers occassionaly. In my mind 1v1..with a balance skill bar.. DPS VS TANK.. should be equal. In that we both can kill each other. PVP definitely favors DPS kills..so that people die and have to respawn..not remain alive. There are time when Im guarding and a shadow or smasher comes to me...and I get taken. I consider myself an average pvp'r...I have gear already..and dps still hits me for 4-5k moves consecutively. Meanwhile, I do 1k-2k hits. My really "good" tank self defense moves are on 3min cooldown.. Imagine as a healer or dps...not being able to AOE heal or Shadowstrike/assassin for 3mins. I don't think I'm asking for much.. If my gear is supposed to be my "tank" stuff.. I feel it's not doing a great job of mitigation. Yeah, I supposed if I were to really study I might be able to increase my survivability another 20-30%...but that still doesn't cover what I'm talking about. Let's talk about "expertise". If you look, DPS get 60% increase of damage against and "unexpertie" player of same level. Healers get 30%boost, but defense only gets a 30% boost( or something in that area) for 2000K+ expertise. DPS if it were really fair and balance should also only get a 30% boost(Plus stat boost ability just like tank/healeres). What I'm saying is without a healer, I feel like a wet paper bag. Unlike, in PVE where I feel like what i'm supposed to be a tank. I throw myself in the middle of 5-7 mobs and can stand there attacks for quite a bit. IN PVE i'd be dead in 10secs... if that.
  4. Well Droids Slots are (1)Sensor, (2)motors, (2)Parts, and (2)Cores. Legacy Unlock you can buy a "crafting" sensor for your butler droid only. I'd like to see all the slots get at least +1 on efficency or crit for individual crafts as the original sensor.
  5. I still feel pretty weak when taking people 1 vs 1. Im getting hit with 5-8k moves. I don't mind that I can't kill them.. but I should be taking the hits at least, no? I thought about the Hidden points also. But, that's still the case for all jobs too. There's a bunch of abilities that aren't "recorded". Speed burst... rolls etc. I'm taking a blaise approach by simply saying all thing being equal... numbers are much more impressive. I feel the need to say again I play a sage, sniper, etc and still feel extremely underwhelming with jedi guardian. I figured armor would be a saving grace... but with 8k hits...I feel like a sage that went AFK.
  6. I'm sorry I'm a casual player..by casual im mean I don't like guilds and joining planned events. I join the game and place myself on Group finder and now that I hit lvl 55, I can't join the "old" operations normally and have to find players. This is backwords thinking. I don't understand why bioware just doesn't create a seperate tier of lvl 50's operations as the "hardmodes" are still there. I don't just hang out in fleet /general for groups...I have stuff to do like dailies, gree events.. binocular quest etc. Im sure the majority of players want this...maybe except the guilds and "elitist".
  7. I'd like to see multi-player space missions (Still on rails) that we have to cue up for. Something that once again drops elite commendations. I used to play Space missions ever day..but once that drops Elite's even if it was only 1-2 of them...Now I skipped all space missions except sundays. On a side note, I'd love a new ship ability called "tractor beam or something" the purpose to pull in floating space debris that gives us another avenue to gather craft items.
  8. On maps...wouldn't it be cool to have a new avenue that made use of the yellow NPC's to gather materials from underworld trading, investigation, diplomancy, etc. I posted something like this, but biowares search engine couldnt' find it and IM lazy. I proposed a more complicated system of A > B > C... where you needed to hit multpile nps.. that was a bitt to time consuming.. and I would just say a normal gathering animation sufficient. On a side note... I know some people find it fun to kill the yellow NPC.. but I feel bad when I do it. I'd rather they be spared.
  9. I'd like to see a complete set of crafting parts for our protocol droid to be released. Perhaps, continue with it being tied to legacy levels/credits and/or cartel purchases.
  10. Ok... some may know of the cybertech/synth bug that requires some of our items be "reversed-engineered" by armormech or somesuch. Bioware replied to one thread stating it's been placed on "issues" list. Anyway, was thinking to myself...why not have cross crew skill requirements. Basically, if you need A + B + C = item X (elite gear), whereas A and B are both gather crew items(regular/regular), then C would be an item ONLY crafted by another crew skill.(I know my logic statements are phrased horribly). For example, Cybertech. Droid "sensorr super" needs X amounts of graded 9 metals, Y amounts of grade 9 rare mettals, Z amounts grade 9 underworld metals and newly required Armsmech accuracy components). Each crew craft can make from 1-2 "needed " components for the other crafting skills? yes, more annoying but potentialls more satisfying that current crew skills. This is especially the case of the elite tier crafting...has more usuage that the lvl 450 stuff currently available... think arkanian level stuff. On a side note, Why not increase crafting to 4 crewskills now... maybe as a legacy/cartel unlock?
  11. Remember, Reputations is a Legacy thing.. so if you have alt's..you can raise you weekly numbers faster. Gree event is very common though.. I think once every 2-3months? I basically focus on the gree dailiies that drop the weapons/ride components...and skip the regular dailies. Since I have 2 lvl 55 characters...I got rep pretty quickly and can return to normal game play. I keep extra rep item for next gree event...speed things up.
  12. I envision a new pvp event that takes place on speeders (ala mario cart). Each classes are given special speeder abilities(since regular ability won't be in the race). Speeders can be upgraded with "pvp speeder parts" to make them alittle faster, resilient, etc. Same branches. Speeders are balanced, as are classes to include Tank, dps, and healer models. Indiviually own speeders can be used out of pvp races and have(speeds of 140%,150%..whatever decided).
  13. I would like to see more Legacy Unlocks for the ship to include but not limited to... Mission Kiosks to grab daily and weeklies. ( I don't want to return to fleet to grab pvp/missions...Makeb thank you). Protocols droid unlocks at various legacy levels. Just as we get a sensor item for crewskills...I'd like to see a complete set of crew skill parts for protocol droid only. "Astromech" droid. A Legacy Unlock droid(High Tier), that allows players to have an incombat Astromech droid that repairs HP damage(maybe even visually present during missions...maybe even give it a %hp over time then gets "shot" off with accompanying hilarity). Game table(Pazaak or other) which is server linked to allow up to 5 players to play for ingame credits. "Ultimate Upgrade". Elite ships for lvl 100(or reasonable lvl) that with say 10mil?20 million? a player can purchase a "new" ship with fully upgrade and arrangeable rooms.
  14. I don't remember which update bioware mentions being able to switch crewskill while keeping levels in "memory". My question is did this take effect? I only ask because just like other cybertech(and synth I think) we can't reverse-engineer some of our creations...specifically droid parts have a "armor mech" requirement. I'm currently attempt to crew skill level up my alt with armormect to reverse-engineer sent droid parts..but I thought I'd just throw this out the and see what people have found?
  15. Hmm...how to frame this.... ***? I knew going into this I wouldn't be the top DPS'er....or numbers man...but seriously ***? Ok, let's back up. First off, I consider myself an average player...Im not into pvp to accomplish anything other than grabbing armor pieces and having a little fun. I also don't have access to pc programs that run numbers to prove what I'm next going to say. Lets talk numbers...after a match I scan the "numbers" and easily see dps and healer on average do about 200k or more(whether it's heals or damage). Some have even gotten over 800k in either field. I look at my "protection" stats and I've basically gotten less than 150k in protection(on a good day) mostly 50-100k. My big claim to fame is taunts and group taunts...which have a pretty sever recast...at least in PVP. In PVE...no problems with aggro. Computers "can't ignore me" while actual players can ignore or factor in the debuffs. My main arguements are DPS and Healer can pretty quickly spam their "skills"...where's my spamminng? MY defense cooldowns(the good one is on a 3min timer), while the small 15% saber throw defense buff is every so often. Without resorting to focus guardian, can't guardian tanks have more spamming "guard" moves? Or have the effect last longer? Reflect was awesome..but 3 seconds is a very short window. I just feel like there's not more I can do for my team other than jump around..maybe stasis, maybe hiltstrike,...and so forth. Maybe, the readers can offer a better solution(without changing to focus spec)? On a side not....*** am I still getting hit with 8k smashes? I have full partisan gear with a few elite pieces thrown in.
