Assassin/Shadow tank spec, with dps gear is by far the most easy of the easy. Even at endgame. 5 buttons can take you from 1-50. Work your way up to 12 and you'll have the class 'mastered'. Hell, you can just spam thrash the whole way as a madness/darkness hybrid if you are REALLY a remedial beginner.

Signed. Stupid that they don't have it, when their contemporaries have several (meaning healers/dps speccable classes i.e. sorc/agent)

Anyone know where I can get some modable medium leg armor that looks like a kilt or robe? (for my sentinel alt) Can only find pants graphics anywhere via google/etc. Thx!

Update for those affected by patching issues on April 11th
DarthDerpDerp replied to StephenReid's topic in General Discussion
I'm hoping you have my account in that group, as I've been trying to patch this game on and off since mid day, but apparently am still 'repairing' files. -
Battlemaster gear, with stalker robe with boots. (to get 2 piece bonus). Battlemaster LS on Xalek as well. Next is the Survivor's robe for him (need to darken him down a tad...plus he'll crest 19k hps that way http://imageshack.us/f/638/screenshot2012030608110.jpg/

I agree, and their top end itemization is stupid.
-
Frankly, if they had released a game that didn't feel like a Beta test - I'd be ok with a more stiff penalty up front. As it is however, I think they're well within their rights to take the stance of 'yeahhh...as devs, we should have thought of that. Stop them, warn them, and we'll go fix it ASAP'.
-
Why would I offer money to these folks? Why would I reinforce failure? I could see subsidizing a guild mate, but they all know to stock 1000/1000 WZ/Merc coms, and stash one champ bag upon dinging, and frankly....don't need the hand-out. But your use of 'failmade' tells me you likely aren't a fan of premades in the first place...and the rest of your argument is aligned to one that punishes people who prepare ahead of time, and then enjoy success. (ref: countless children's cartoons about the animal that spends all summer effing off, then is starving in winter). GL with that =)
-
....for 'queue with 8 premade'. Not everyone wants to see through a match with 4 other people @ 11-12k hit points that can't be bothered to even LOOK at the global trade network for gear upon dinging 50. (and especially those that see PVP as their primary enjoyment of this game) If you don't care that much, then why should I care enough to play with you?

starting own thread as response.

The RNG is terrible, as they did nothing to account for/diminish outliers. Take it from the guy that had 2 piece Centurion while a 62 Battlemaster. The system is rife with examples of 'the rule of large numbers.' It was a half-done attempt to replicate the RNG of PvE (yet most endgame PvE has DKP/Loot Councils whereas this is just straight Lotto...though improved from the first iteration) (Cookie worthy point: I was 58 BEFORE the change to Ilum from point swapping.)

Heavy nerf to the Emperor's Fluffy Kitten incoming!
DarthDerpDerp replied to ZetsumeiKira's topic in Combat Styles
Unless there's another warrior on your team. Charge immobilize ignores resolve entirely. -
What the hell else do you waste money on in this game? I only pvp and am sitting on 1.5 mil. I friggen start my alts with 300k to up their inventory past mine own rofl. That said, the Rakata suggestion is very solid. As it stands, I've started spreading one of the mods from the extra 4 champ headpieces I had. yes, its lvl 25 mod vs 26....but for the now, worth it to have a better aggregate stat pool. (crit+ surge vice any alacrity at all).
-
...because of the wealth of the very worthless alacrity stat, anyone have a strat for improving it via outside mods they'd care to share? P.S. Bioware: unscrew dps sorc gear...or at least give us some mod options we can purchase with one BM token in the future.

Charge Stuns and Full Resolve: I don't even???
DarthDerpDerp replied to DarthDerpDerp's topic in PvP
I adjusted it to also include immobilize. All are immobilizes, only some are stuns. Let me build a fence around this and say "nailing my foot to the floor in any fashion, while full resolve, is horse-****. Now, forgive me for blanketing to include immobilize with spec'd stuns. As stated...keep the gap closer...but lose the root. I'll even trade ya my snare working on resolve targets if they unscrew this.
