  1. I know that Karagga's Unyeilding Helm still drops off one of the bosses, Can I get some verification if Sion's Lightsaber still drops from Karagga??
  2. If you're saving your cartel coins for that then you'll be saving them for a very long time.. Trust me when I say this: They will not have this as an option for Cartel Coins or Purchase via Cartel Market. This will be Account Management Only via SWTOR Official Website!!
  3. You wouldn't pay $25.00 for a Character Transfer but you would pay more than $25.00 for a Cartel Packs? lol funny stuff.. come on be reasonable. just saying. And don't say you don't buy Cartel Packs, everyone does.
  4. Just to throw some fuel on the fire; Most packs say they include 1 ultra rare 2 rares, 2 uncommons. Or the catch that some may not see is that they say "May include" etc etc... However that doesn't mean that they will include those items. What I am most unpleased about myself is getting 2 banners, 2 gifts, and 1 vanity or 1 other miscellanious item. And the point that I could go through 20+ packs and not get a single Ultra Rare drop? or even a purple of any type. That's just unheard of. I was very pissed off when I go spend $200.00 and not get jack crap. The % on the drop rates in the packs have got to be balanced out more. I don't want to see myself open up 20 packs and get 2 mounts that are very common, or some stupid Dancing outfits that no one will wear or buy. Or some invisible gear that makes me look like I'm wearing just my underclothes. No way am I happy about recieving these items and not have a chance at some real drops like the hover chairs, or masks that would be nice.. Color Crystals that have eluded me still. And even though the Crafting Items are nice, It would be even better if I got a Rare Schematic out of a few packs to go along with those items. No way in any shape or form that the Cartel Market should be turned into a Pay to Win Feature. I will Boycott EA and BioWare if that would ever happen. However, I will keep my patronage if EA / Bioware balances out the Vanity items and fix the % drop rate of their Ultra Rares and Rares. Any Item that is in the Cartel Market that is Stat based on it, should be at level of the person collecting. The items for lvl 31 was spot on. However Anything more such as end-game items should be left out. Schematics, if considered, should be for all Crew Skills; and then should only affect either Cosmetic or possible Vanity or Ship. Such as a certain look for your ship, or some vanity pets crafted or found, or maybe some new gear looks. Suggested Schematics would include Armor, Weapons, for Force and Non-Force users. Ship Cosmetics should be Cybertech crafted ((and be able to Reversed Engineered) something that needs to be fixed on the current Ship Parts), Vanity Pets, Can be done different ways. Crafted or Found. BioChem (have some kind of weird science theme going along with it) Cybertech (little droids that can follow you around) Gathering Crew Skills Scavenging can find a Mineral or Rock Type Pet Archeology can find ancient Life Forms of elemental and non-mechanical types Treasure Hunting can find Ancient Golems or Undead Life Forms of the past Slicing can find a possible Intelligient Life Form or Mechanical types Rather you have a chance to Find these items in the field is up to the Devs, However I would suggest it be a Mission Drop Item from a Catel Pack with a 100% success rate from when the companion returns from the mission. Just a side note though, Vanity Pets should not be allowed in PVP zones or Operations. Please take the ability to summon those out of those areas. I think I've pretty much covered everything.. If I think of more then I will respond again.
  5. I would have to agree with this as well. Along with what I suggested above. The more I think on this subject the more reason it makes sense to me. Yes, Server Balance is Key element to both PVP, and Group Finder Elements. Cross-Server Functionality is a must in order for this to work properly. But I would suggest that this be listed as a priority as the community is growing weary and tired of not having their way. So before too long, you may see a drop in players if they're not allowed to get what they want. Which is pretty sad. I on the otherhand will be waiting patiently.
  6. I personally feel that you're taking the "pay to win" out of context, Sure, what you're referring to is definitely something to consider when players take advantage of the GTN and make profit off their earnings. However that is not by definition Pay to Win. Pay to Win, would be strickly something that the Devs have from a Cash Shop; that you would have to buy in order to get ahead. Gear, Weapons, and anything to progress your advancement in the game. Pay to win is basically ability to pay real cash to get access to exclusive items or abilities, unobtainable by any other reasonable means, that give clear-cut statistical advantage. Credits from a GTN Exploit, Does only so much for a person to "get ahead", and yes that could be exploited, "IF" they implemented a Continuous Transfer Method based off the suggestions. However with proper and careful planning I'm sure that would not happen. Free to Play players have a credit limit, as well as Premium players. Subscribers do not. However with that being said, The only advantages here are someone having more credits due to their intuition and business sense in order to make a profit on a game. And the lack and know-how of someone else who does not. So I'm sorry I would have to agree and disagree with you on this one. Aside from that; Transfers should be considered regardless. For the benefit of the game, the players, and the community. SWTOR is stronger now than it was before, just for the simple fact that people, and players alike are moving more into the "Free to Play ERA". The main reason is because of the economy in the Real World. However, in saying this; EA and Bioware have to realize that in order to make their community happier, they will have to listen to their community forums. Otherwise they will eventually fall just like other mmo's and companies in the past. Yes, I will agree with you though, some players may and will take advantage of that; But If a player is willing to pay to transfer a character, And that transfer is reasonably priced, then I'm sure it would be something that EA and Bioware will consider. As far as putting it onto the Cartel Market. I will have to disagree with this. This is the portion that can and will be taking advantaged of. If this was implemented then it will most likely end up on the GTN and be sold for insane amounts of credits. Which can lead to issues with exploits, and players not playing by the rules. "Ninja's." Bottom line is this, The Paid Character Transfer Service should only be done through the Main Website, and only through In-Game Customer Service in which a Ticket was put in, in case of a problem. The Main Website should be set up in the players' account section and have a listed of Characters that are available for Transfer service. Transfer's should be based off of each Character and should have a limit as to how many times they can be transferred in a Week's or Month's time frame. Character Transfers should cost no more than $25.00 USD and no less than $10.00. For Subscribers, The Paid Character Transfer Service should be discounted, for their continuous contribution of being a loyal player in the community. For Premium and Free to Play players, then they should be considered the full price or a % off of the Full price. For Example. $25.00 for Free to Play $15.00 for Premium $10.00 for Subscribers This would be in line with their current system that is in place for Subscribers and Free to Play players. I for one would be happy with this set up not just for the simple fact that I suggested it, but it would seem only fair as an experienced MMO player of 10+ years now. I've seen prices for transfers similar to this. But I will have to agree that Trion Worlds did it right with Rift in their Character Transfer system. So EA and Bioware can take notes.
  7. I don't understand Game-Wide GTN? Do you mean that it could cover cross servers?? And Could you explain a little on how you feel that this would remove the incentive? This part may be subject for discussion in the Suggestion Tab under a different topic. Not for Paid Character Transfer. However if you do make a new Topic please provide a link for the subject and I will gladly follow that discussion.
  8. Honestly, I've been waiting for Paid Character Transfer Services, ever since I leveled up 2 50s and a 36 on one server, and 2 50s, along with many 30+'s on another server, It would be awesome just to have them all together. Being that I'm a Paid Subscriber, I would reccomend or suggest that we would be allow to have free character transfers at least once a week. Sorta like how Trion does with Rift. And if that's not possible, then at least give us a one time free transfer per character; then each additional transfer request could be charged. But I would keep the price down to at least $10.00 each transfer. We're already spending money on Cartel Market. So you have our money. We just want the transfers.
  9. Of all the places with a Flight Path, Nemro's Palace does not have a Quick Travel Point, meanwhile others do. It would be helpful if one was put in place.
  10. Well they could change it to where it could be the Ops leader only, and if that was the case then calling targets would be that person's sole responsibility, And if you want to call out targets in chat then this is why they invented Ventrilo, Teamspeak, and Mumble for. As for PUGs then you're stuck with what you got. Deal with it like the rest of us. Alternatively, You could get a keyboard that has macro buttons on it, ie: Razer Black Widow Stealth Ultimate Gaming Keyboard, and then you can program whatever Text Macros, Mouseovers, or Combat Casting Scripts you wanted. There are always a way around things without actually changing the game internally or externally. A Side note: PVP is all over the place and being able to call out a target can also misdirect other allies to the wrong spot, therefore losing your tactical advantage and possibly losing the game. Are you willing to do that? (don't reply to that, that was a rhetorical question)
  11. I personally don't like addons.. But here are some pros and cons that I can see. Cons: It can take away the orginal fundamental design making it more automative than enjoyable. People would rely more on addon's for their guide than their own intuition or common sense. Leads teams or guilds to rely more on "the better DPS" than helping their fellow guild mate. thus leaving the guild mate who's left out feeling down in the dumps cuz no one will help that person for not having the right gear. It can lead to extortion and munipulation of the game. It adds on to the memory consumption on your computer. Pros: It can help with rotations, leading to higher dps in OPs, PVP, PVE Qsting Pending on the mods. (Can be done in-game by devs) It could help with GTN marketing giving someone an advantage on how to play the pricing game. (extortion) It could help with a better design over the UI (munipulation of the game) Results: Anything that an addon can do can always be added into the game by the devs in order to compensate or accomodate the players by adjusting how their game relays information. Such as: Deadly Boss Mods: This could be done by in-game notifications by how the boss relays it's attacks. Giving players a chance to pop cool downs when needed. (I personally think they do a good job already) DPS Calculator; Better or Improved Combat log; This can also be accommodated by adding in a function to tell a player their intentional rotations for an Advanced Class. This can be highlighted rotations done by the Cool-Down Notification system. Example would be: An Assassin Tank's Rotation could look like: Stealth, Maul, Discharge, Overload, Shock, Thrash, Saber Strike x3, Force Lightning, Discharge, Shock, Thrash. Cooldowns being popped at each time they're up. ie: Recklessness, Electrocute, and Crushing Darkness. but most likely Crushing Darkness will not be used as it takes to long to cast. However with these abilities. The Devs could make it so that each time you pop your Discharge, you get a free Instant-Cast Crushing Darkness, or each time you pop Overload, it causes High Threat (only while having Dark Charge applied) making the next Force Lightning cost no force. Each time one of these abilities are triggered it could be highlighted in an outlined flashing sense to give the player indication it's time to hit that ability. (aka Power Auras) This would of course change the current rotation I outlined above. If that was the case then you could do a rotation such as: Steath, Maul, Overload, Force Lightning, Shock, Thrash, Discharge, Crushing Darkness, Saber Strike x3, Overload, Force Lightning, Shock, Thrash, Discharge, repeat. If the Devs would make in-game changes to slightly adjust how Advance Classes worked then Addon's such as Dps Calculators wouldn't be needed. Because then it would be as intended through original design and not by Mathimatical Wizards who only want to crunch numbers. I understand wanting to be the best, and wanting to get the best. But It can be done by design and not by outside changes. That's just my personal oppinion, and it may be a good idea here, I think it is.. but it's up to the Devs to make that decision. We as a community can only make suggestions.. But it's not just upto Bioware now. It's also upto EA since they partnered up.
  12. Not sure if this will help any; As for the basic pre-Ops Recipe's: Artful - Cun, End, Pow Keen - Cun, End, Crit Agile - Aim, End, Pow Nimble - Aim, End, Crit Aptitude - Willpower, End, Pow Mettle - Willpower, End, Crit Deft - Str, End, Pow Potent - Str, End, Crit
  13. I originally had 3 servers, 2 of which I had 3 different 50s on. I had a 50 Powertech on my 1st server, in which got transferred to my other Server Canderous Ordo. So I got lucky. However, I have a 50 Gunslinger and a 50 Guardian, both on Namadii Corridor, Their destination server is Harbinger? Anyways, "If" I chose to leave them on Namadii Corridor would they get deleted? Or Would I have to take the destination server choice until options for paid character transfers open up?? I have already read the FAQs for this. But it does not answer my questions. I would like to have all my 50s on the same server. And personally I would rather have them on an East Coast server and not a split of East and West coast servers. Is there not a way to be able to keep all of our 50s together since we've worked so hard on them?? Preferably on Canderous Ordo. Dev response would be appreciative.

  15. Any time any MMO does an event like this it should be prolonged out for anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month at a time. With the description of the Event and all the details of it posted onto the Log In page so that people will know what's going on, where to go to start the Event, as well as how long they have til they can complete it. Not every one person uses the Forums, Twitter, or Facebook. There needs to be some sort of News Page on the Front page letting others know about what's going on. Yes, aside from the one that's already there. As for all the people who want to complain about an event such as this, You're just gonna have to tough it out and find a million other things to do other than cry and complain about people wanting to have some fun. If you can't join in on the fun yourselves then you really shouldn't be here at all. This is an MMO. Meaning you're not the only ones who play this game!! So get over the fact that some people just want to be jerks and some people want to have fun. But those of you who want to cry about every little thing in the game; then you shouldn't be playing games. Go outside do some real life activities or something. Don't be bringing your drama to the game when it's all negative comments. If you have some constructive things to say then by all means say it. Otherwise don't say anything. Personally I love the event, I haven't had much time to farm the dailies for items or DNA samples. due to work and other priorities in my life. However what little time I do have I've only had enough to get a portion of the Social gear in which I will fall short on a couple pieces due to the upcoming end of the event. Unless Bioware decides to extend the event!! (high hopes) For Low Pop Servers like mine we have very little help or advice from those who are playing online. More details of the event would have been very nice, and more time on the event would have been excellent. Next time please make sure that the event lasts longer than 1 week. As I said above, 2 weeks to 1 month for any Event for an MMO.
