  1. NICE Going! Your latest patch completely messed up Ascendency Barrier space combat mission. Since when does it take hundreds of hits from the level 7 laser guns and multiple missile hits to destroy one little heavy fighter? You completely screwed up my daily SUBSCRIBED game experience. I purchased a bunch of Cartel Coins so I could buy all the level 7 ship upgrades and now they are WORTHLESS! Thank you for your fine efforts to wreck my game, you've succeeded beyond my wildest dreams! A FOUNDING SUBSCRIBER!

  3. Another thing you can do if you find a name you like/want is already taken is to use Alternate Ascii characters to substitute some letters in a name. For example, before the server consolidation, I had a Bounty Hunter 'toon named Gaijin, the Japanese word for "foreigner" or "barbarian." After the server consolidation I received a msg from SWTOR that I had to rename my 'toon because the name Gaijin was already taken. So I did some alternate ascii substitutions and that character is now named Gaìjín (ì = [alt]+0236, í = [alt]+0237) Alternate ASCII key combinations can be found here: http://www.irongeek.com/alt-numpad-ascii-key-combos-and-chart.html Now if I could only find key combinations that would print out Aurek-Besh
  4. Once you have your ship you have a license to print Creds & XP. Learn how to do the space combat missions and repeat them at least daily. You will soon learn when every enemy ship & asteroid spawns. Before long you'll be a master pilot. Once you reach Lvl 49 or so, you'll be able to do every space combat mission and doing all of them (even the grey missions) will give you about 80,000 - 100,000 credits for about an hour's play time, depending on your ability to complete the bonus stuff. Be sure to keep your ship upgraded to the maximum level you are permitted. This makes space combat fun and fairly easy. Once you get past the first set of missions, failure to keep your ship upgraded will make it impossible for you to complete the missions. Every day, all of my 'toons complete all of the space combat missions. I can do all the missions & complete the bonus kills without scratching the paint job on my ship. Oh, a little hint for space combat bonus kills; 27 normal missiles at the same target = 1 torpedo. You can take out the main antenna array on the stations you attack by firing missiles at the antenna array. That bonus alone almost doubles your XP & Creds for the mission.
  5. I prefer Gadwin PrintScreen... great program, stays in the background & uses minimal resources. You can save to wildcard file names in sequential order in any folder you choose and in a variety of formats & sizes (full screen, window, cropped) Oh... and it's free. http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen
  6. There's a simple way to describe Belsavis... It SUX! I have a basic storyline mission that I am unable to complete because I can't get to the objective location. Every route I attempt has been choke pointed by indestructible Lvl 50 Imperial troops. So far I have racked up over 50,000 Creds in repairs with absolutely NOTHING to show for it. Bad enough that the Imperial Treasure ship heist didn't pay bupkis ... (the mission on Nar Sha-la-la-la that is the lead in to Belsavis) but then to be sent to a planet loaded with unkillable Imperials just freekin' SUX! How the hell do you get where you need to go in this place?
  7. You might want to try using Gadwin Print Screen, which is a freeware application that will either capture your entire screen or your current window. You can save the captured image in a number of different file formats into a directory of your choice, using a filename pattern of your choice, using a hot key of your choice . The current free version is Gadwin PrintScreen 4.6 http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/ Gadwin PrintScreen works a lot faster than the in-game image capture function. And you can save in lossless TIF or PNG format if you so desire. (Also supports GIF, BMP & JPG)
  8. Lots of missions, both "pick up" and storyline "class" missions pop up bonus mini-challenges which you should always complete. These are generally stuff like, "Kill 15 (or 20 or 25 or 40) pirates." You have to complete the "bonus" stuff before you complete the mission that spawned it or the bonus opportunity just goes away. What I mean by this is Do Not complete the main mission objectives until you've finished the bonus objectives. These bonus mini-missions are frequently worth more XP than the actual mission. So the next time you see a pop up "bonus" opportunity... drop what you're doing and finish the bonus op first. Then resume normal mission completion. Another frequently overlooked source of a huge amount of XP is Space Combat. All of the Space Combat Missions which are offered in the privacy & comfort of your spaceship cockpit are literally XP machines. I have made as much as 100,000 XP in under an hour just doing my daily space combat missions. Each of the space combat missions also offer "bonus" opportunities which pop up during the mission.
  9. The obvious solution, though it won't give you commendations from other planets is to go to your home fleet station & exchange your commendations for decent gear which is BOE, then sell it on the GalTradeNet. Or... if you trade in your commendations for Orange Gear appropriate for yourself and your companions, you can then keep it upgraded using appropriate mods. Lots of the mods you'll want are created by other players and can be found for sale in the GalacticTradingNet. As an aside... if you see someone who regularly sells stuff that you use. Don't be hesitant to contact them as ask them if they can make whatever it is you need or want. Frequently if you offer to get them the Mats to make stuff... they'll make one for you in exchange for mats. I have a nice arrangement with a guy who makes Ship Upgrades. I give him stacks of 50 mats he needs and he makes a needed ship upgrade. Currently he's been building Lvl 6 "Purple" Ship Upgrades for me. Nice because the Space Combat Missions are XP machines & pay off well too.
  10. Regardless of the planet or your level. If you team up with someone near your own level... no more than 2 levels above you - you can breeze though most of the storyline missions. You can skip side quests but you shouldn't. And don't forget the frequent "bonus" missions that are attached to almost if not all storyline missions. Those generate lots of XP. One caution. If you team with someone who is a much higher level than you are... you will receive almost ZERO XP for completing your missions. So avoid asking another player who is, let's say, Level 35 or 50 to "twink" you. Twinking doesn't work in SWTOR. Another way to generate LOTS of XP is to do the daily Space Combat Missions. They are XP machines. I've been able (at lower levels) to gain an entire level just doing Space Combat Missions for an hour.
