  1. ..unlikely to based on the fact that since I've been shoveling my money into this game to this point via subscription, they've already made more off of me than they should for the weak class story updates (i.e. NONE), and imo otherwise uninteresting add-ons. Once Rise of the Hutt Cartel went free for subscribers I decided just maybe I won't bother paying for an expansion that isn't worth paying for. I've seen more content updates and fixes in Star Trek Online in the past year than I have here.. and I'm Free to Play there. Here, I'm paying EA for what's gotten to be content that's the same old bunk. So.. no. I didn't pre-order. If and when THIS expansion becomes a freebie, I'll pick it up then. I just do not feel 20 more dollars should go to EA when I'm just not at all pleased with what I've seen since RotHC.
  2. at your top end, and when I say top end, this is flat out 50-55, I'd suggest something to this effect... Depending on how many targets you have around your central target... Double-Saber throw as opener. Force Leap Overload Saber (in-leap, as previously stated) Zealous strike (as previously mentioned) Cauterize and at this point sorta consider your options- do I have additional focus builders off cool-down? do I have my target near death that Dispatch will finish it? If neither of the above are viable... Master Strike. If you have additional major focus builders (i.e. if leap's handy again, ) use them- follow up with Merciless Slash, then roll into Master Strike. The other thing to remember- keep an eye on your centering. When you get Zen available, USE IT! the heals via your burns may not seem like much, but it makes a difference. and once you reach a point where you're carrying higher end gear (arkanian, etc), and you get a set bonus... well, you'll see quickly that the extra dmg via zen gets handy quickly. This purely assumes you're taking a Watchmen spec, as that is my own spec. I'll admit that I myself do not per-se have a rotation I follow... just keep an active eye on your focus, and equally important, your interrupts. your force kick may be on cooldown, but remember your stasis (if the target is vulnerable to it), AND your leap act as interrupts. And while Leap may not do the big damage, it IS handy when you need something interrupted and some focus built up and you do not want to spam strike, or your zealous slash is on cooldown. This is just my view. It's served me well so far, and I've not heard complaints in terms of damage output when it came raid time.
  3. ...and why don't we just do everything else needed to do so then? which includes having to DL a full new version of the game ( and as someone who has a collector's edition disc, I should be entitled to a replacement hard copy), give up our characters and gear (because we're going to have to have an entire new database system for this new engine as well), and then tell all the existing subscribers to slag off while we're at it? (subscribers including myself)
  4. a joke. This is a complete and total joke. Your idea to get more subs and whatnot is to freebie the expansion that the rest of us had to pay for, and it was scarcely even worth THAT... ? How about making a full blown expansion that was actually worth paying to pick up? Or is that too much to ask? And quite frankly, as a subscriber who purchased Rise on pre-order, it's even MORE irritating when what the long-time subs get crapped on effectively... a repainted speeder, a repainted droid... and a title. how about instead, you'd just give me an additonal 1000 cartel coins at my next stipend? heck, I'll take even 500 if the 1000 isn't manageable.. it's nothing NEW. it's nothing that makes me want to say "hey, I'm a sub, and I got THIS !!! for my trouble!!!" seriously... disappointment isn't the word for what this is.
  5. ....we need the voice actors to do that up... truly, it's too good!
  6. In response to the OP's original post: for all the talk about love, you seem to be missing one particular fact: nowhere in the jedi code does it state that love is forbidden. It's been the decree of the Masters that has enforced THAT particular bit. If it weren't for "love", Grand Master Satele Shan wouldn't EXIST. Regardless of whether Bastilla LEFT the order or not. and if we want to really be uppity, anyone ELSE aware of a certain SIS agent who was the child of a certain Jedi Master, but has no force potential at all? Also, let's flash forward a few thousand years to the era of the New Repbulic: Luke Skywalker, wed Mara Jade. Leia married Han, and yes, she IS a sitting Jedi Knight. Corran Horn also is a married Master, as is Kam Solusar. it falls to those who oversee the Order whether they feel love, marriage and relationships can be permitted for their Jedi. It is NOT part of the Code
  7. personally pleased he WON'T be doing any more movies... the cgi clone wars series took what was supposed to be, at best, a year worth of space between attack of the clones, and stretched it into absurdity. Anyone familiar with the Republic Commando book series? Written by Karen Travis? anyone know why she stopped writing that series after the first book of Imperial Commandos? Because the established cannon was being changed such that what she had established all but threw any hope for continuing the series out the window. And if memory serves, it boiled down to this: Boba makes his assault on Windu's cruiser intending vengeance, and rather than finding another way (one that wouldn't put his brothers at risk, ((granted it's not established if Jango imbued in Boba that sense of family to the clones, the clones still carried at least some of the mandalorian traditions)) ) he takes the course he does, and doesn't seem to care who he has to kill in the process as long as windu dies. All of the expanded universe stuff has been viewed for the longest time now as being canonical by at least a majority of fans, and the fact that Lucas had seemingly never made a move to say otherwise (assuming he didn't in fact endorse it himself- I mean, he's only permitted these books to be written and hit the shelves... money in his pocket or not, if he didn't like the way things were going in his own universe, he could've stopped it) and so for him to decide that he has the right to go and change whatever he wants after the fact that things have already long since been established ... it's like if tolkien were still alive, and he went back thru all his works, and decided he didn't like how things had played out in some seemingly not too important at the time situation and changed it... only later on for that change to alter the course of a character's story entirely. at least it seems that way t me.
  8. gotta ask- and I get the feeling my sentinel's build is utterly wrong bc at lv 32, I do NOT have access to the offensive skills granted in the skill trees (on any tree at all)... what attacks DO interrupt a boss' major attacks? I mean, granted... stasis seems kinda obvious if you get the timing, but...
  9. Kinda surprised there's not been more lurky mentioning of Celest Morne and the Muur Talisman... especially since that thing seemed to be capable of not only creating rak's, but controling them as well... tho she'd be on ice right now...
  10. ... if anyone were to manage to find him, I'd have to actually laugh. Lord knows, The Emperor knows where he is. After all.. he PUT him there.
