  1. I signed up for the emperor in a heart beat. Sure , yes boss i said, the empire was kinda failing. then i felt as though i got the job after kneeling only to be told i had no longer a postion for the vacancy or even the company exsiting anymore. The shortest job interview i have ever had. Bummer.
  2. Agreed . Lanas mission pvp will never happen for me ever. I dont pvp never have , never will. So if am spoiling my story so be it. So my light blinks too The light working with dark for me doesnt sit well with me. Also Dr lokin can take a long run and jump am not doing that either. Monthly poor quest imo am not interested in repeating for the sake of a title of whatever the end result is. If the universe dies because i didnt play with these comps, well Boo-hoo I would like to round up and be head all but 2 of my companions but i guess this wont be allowed.
  3. Its your time people and its your choice. Some people who are subbing regard there time and value it according to how productive it has been spent. I.e guild runs v pugging. The choice truely is yours, but the impact can be negative and postive. If u dont want to spend time reteaching over and over again , theres nothing wrong in that imo. But how many times do u help out say in general ? a really small act, like someone asking for location of something or a question about the aspect of the game. And how many times for the people who dont wanna help actually do throw out a quick line pointing the right direction. A throw away act but can be quite powerfull in guiding someone along there path. Enlarge this to GF , the theroy is still the same but now has much larger impact on the game itself. The direction u choose to interact with noob/ newbies prob in most cases put people off the game or even better make the game more popular in the long run. Guild runs are great, and whilst theres nothing that can beat the success of pulling off a moment as a collective, strengthing bonds with people. I have always gotten more benifical enjoyment out of helping someone in the right direction. I have made friends i didnt really want( the dreaded "i'll add u to my friends list". Some i still know to this day whilst other u have to recognise there here for a free ride and will take advantage. So yes choices may not have truely been brought in KOTFE. But the choices u make in the social aspect can have a lasting impact on others. Not everyone plays the same way, some people truely bring there attitude in life into game also. Shyness or bullying, choosing friends and excluding new players. Its your choice and your time thats being used, we were all new once and thank full for guidance wether it be a you tube video or someone actually walking u through the process. Remember its only a problem if u dont have a solution.
  4. Been gaming to know long enough that achv bashing is not the marker or a good pug / raid . Anyone who throws up a damage meter in any game for a me is a D@ck head of the highest order. It has nothing to do with the style of play for many a raider to be constantly reminded they suck. Avoid at all costs these people they ruin every game u'll ever play mmo wise, there toxic, selfish , and ruthless. Does this game want to go down the horrible enviroment like Wow? i surely hope not, considering were not long into a new expansion where new blood is brought in . Only to be thrown to the wall for not keeping up. Stay away from these guilds/ raiders they Do Not have any intention of enjoying and relaxing- there numbers hogs / glory hogs. While saying that..... learning and making up for mistakes goes a long way to. Knowing u may have made a bad move or your timing was out . Own up and say so, the finger of blame is never ending and always looking for someone. This day it choose u. Dont get disheartened by these people, were not all like this. Good luck happy hunting
  5. We saw this many years ago in Dallas. Bobby Ewing knows the truth! its was all a dream yours for the price of 8.99 monthly. Bioware will build u up and take u down repeatedly to make cash. Some expansions u will like others u wont. Atm this ones for me "meh" companion wise, story wise, crafting wise. Basically repeating the alliance base aka strongholds from wow. Ive done the strongholds thing in wow and found that to be a slave fest of the dullest order. Am not sure am going to stick around for a drip feed story thats goes against everything that i have built up before to be more or less a side act for my companion. I still enjoy the playing of my chracter and flashpoints /ops . But the rest is a tasteless topping for a other wise good game.
  6. i hate it more than Lana, and i really hate her with a passion. I hate sync because its money for old rope no matter how u dress it up.
  7. 1706789. This chracter creation or the forum age? ^^ same as above , early access before launch EU
  8. The only choice is not giving 2 squirts about the choices. Like said prob before in countless other posts. Back when the game was launched Bioware promised for immersion, plot, choices. None has come to this game for sure . Which is a dissapointment to those beautifully done cutt scenes everyone spams to avoid. I played through revan only towards the end of its life, and returned again to see the same lie repeated. And as before the same click pryamid choices that lead to the same conclusion. Now on my 3rd story i didnt even look at the keyboard when the so called choices made there apperances. I spammed the keyboard and arrived at the same point in which i took so carefully on the first run through. OOO0 the droid will remeber that cruelty. So FECKING WHAT! The very companions we care for and loathe to feed with these gifts are all folly and a waste of time, coz in 6 months when Bioware see the numbers/ store sales/ subs. they change it all again to suit what ever needs . Knowing this i DONT give 2 squirts about choices, or care to believe that they matter . As long as am enjoying playing the game i extract what i need from this company and game play that suits my style of play. These so called companions everyone is plugging away for to make sure they'll never leave is a lie also, Its in Biowares interest to take them off u again and make u grind for more that u dont need. The expansion has one outcome , there may be the odd twist and turn but in the end its the same dam line your heading towards, regardless of the path your trying to avoid imo.
  9. I just recently subbed to see and wait for the expansion. Played for a bit and immediately unsubbed, Even if SWOTOR payed ME to play I wouldn't- reason- syncing. its sucks nuts- period. Am 2 days away from seeing the expansion u can keep the cash for the month I consider it a hostage fee for getting out of the syncing. I always wanted to come back to play this , but u guys managed to brass off the last interest I ever had in returning. Whats the point in it? whats the point levelling at all?. I know its money for old rope is what it is. Taking notes from Blizzard? erm rehash old stuff and make then slog again through content they all ready slogged through. This wears thin and old really fast. Why not keep everyone level 1 instead? and scale the world down , basically whats happening here. Its the 25th now I know I have 28 days or soo sub to run but in all honesty i'd rather go apexis hunting in WOW than do syncing every where I go. (btw I am not playing wow, just a bad reference to another bad idea ) The sense of being a 60 and going around places that's once owned me and turning the tables for sheers lols or farm instances , bagging up all of the mobs and raining aoes is fun, yet u guys thought nah! slow em down / keeps the subs up. not the case. Am sure u guys have added good content in the expansion, and good story lines too, twists and turns etc, But I will never know because u bored the arse off of me by this action of syncing.
  10. Having been away for 2 1/2 years coming back to this made me realise that the swtor community is a tad soft and also being totally over rated players aswell. Going into any FP that u haven't done can be a little daunting, are u guided in this nope because ppl fly ahead, Jugg and marauders and any other melee class blast straight to mobs pulling all sorts . While having 1-2 seconds to re heal or gasp for breath, having lvl'd my sorc in KDY from lvl 15 -54 I saw all sorts of style of players from those who barely know what to do with there characters to those that are full of **** and think there the bees knees. Its the full of **** characters I hated the most, while not healing even though they could have tossed a few heals to save the fight, or the sprinting ahead I hated the most. No time given to anyone needing to fill there force bar, then wondering ?? like this why they didn't get a heal. Maybe if they had not played like ***** they might have been healed IF I had been given a tad longer to replenish. The shear amount of ppl quitting mid game in kdy or any random FP if it wasn't going there way was down right laughable. Coming back after a long time away also made me realise that this game is not populated enough to feed these end game bullys. There WILL be gaps in between the dude just turning 60 and needing to gear, to the grps spamming lfm must know tactics , must show achiv. Theres very little patience in this game from the end gamers from what I have seen , its me me me . No manners either from not saying thanks for grping, or thanking for saving poor game play or even in most kdy ppl don't even bother buffing. Am hoping there are better ppl out there to game with , maybe I haven't really meet to many, but from what I have seen so far the op is right, Give the guy a chance to maybe watch the kdy video if he hasn't seen it or any other cut scene . Maybe wait 10 more secs till someone is rezzed / healed/ buffed and rdy to return to combat. Say thank u to all for grouping. Not everyone is playing this game 100 mph. Don't be to rdy to hit exit area and quit, wait a little , guide ppl if needed. The only thing that will happen is end game ppl wont get fed, noobs wont bother and the game will die. Just my 2 cents
  11. I have also not long been back after 2 1/2 years. I know what your about to face and it can be a little over whelming. Mostly vanity items for the most part and most of it a waste of money and time. Am talking Strongholds (pure money sink) are pointless. While the perks of a few things in them can be help full, mod stations, access to your own stuff in house from guild banks etc. Imo strongholds are a waste of time and I wont bother upgrading my Dromund kass home because apart from the obvious stuff I just mentioned mail box , bank access etc the rest is pure money sink and pointless. The shear amount of spamming selling gold has not been addressed at all. Also the amount of un regulated moderators have either. While lvling another alt in dromund kass there was a dude spamming that he hated muslims and being quite toxic about it, though hrs later when I returned he was still there. So for admins doing there job, nope. The slot machine issue I completely missed. And upon returning finding that the crafting market is more or less being killed of by ( a working item according to the devs) now nerf'd to the ground. PPl are well brassed off about this. Though I did miss out about it, buying one 2 weeks before the nerf. Exploits not being dealt with , and a velvet glove approach the temp bans while ppl keeping said items who exploited. Don't get me wrong, I do still like this game, but it has many bad and un addressed issues. Lag, toolbars disappearing while loading, resulting in lock out timers for 15 mins, that your punished for there bugs. The cartel market is the Bastard child of EA. no surprise to me about EA policys of draining the fool and its money. While most items u see on there can be bought without real money and purchased through the GTN anyways. I haven't yet gotten to the raid content, as I have decided to avoid for the moment. Though am in a guild that raids I have no interest atm to do so. Am lvling various alts seeing what has changed and seeing what I prefer to play atm. The content is rock solid for the most part . Leveling alts on your legacy is one of the few aspects of this game I do prefer as it gives a good foundation for the rest of your alts if u ever decided to level, boosting them etc with a few good perks. I put down £20 for 2 months to see if I wanted to return . I have enjoyed my time on it, plugged away on a sorc in Kuat drive yards, and got my marauder to lvl 60. Like any mmo its all about the grind and this never changed wether it be wow or lotr or another other. I hope u get yourself in a good guild that will guide u along your path, u may need a good deal of advice. For the most part of builds hasn't really changed to much, and this game is fairly easy to pick up and play. Know your rotations, dps your socks off. Good luck to ya bud
  12. 54 views not one tickle, hmm still seeking a guild. Pve guild imp side on The Red Eclipse.
  13. Howdy all, yep like the title says I haven been away from Tor for a while. Back in the day I was originally on Boa - dur server. I had a lvl 50 bh mainly tank specced and a lvl 50 marauder. I played it solidly from launch up to the end game at the time, which was badly coded and bugged to hell and back but my original guild " Man loves Droid" eventually cleared the end game and we folded and went off to pastures new like Guild wars 2. What a waste of time that was. Many tales to be told since the years since lost in a sea of offline single player games and diablo 3 grinding am back to Tor for hopefully to stay. My tales of many mmo's are quite extensive and frankly dull to reem off, but u name it I have done it on every bigg mmo there is. In short am a capable gamer, don't suffer to many fools and considered a team player. Upon returning many things have totally changed in Tor and its going to take me some time to get my head around the new system. Also I have been re-servered to The Red Eclipse. I am currently seeking a guild, as its only been a few days since I reactivated my old account and am still getting to grips with this build/ changes etc, I really need a guild atm that doesn't mind me a little fuzzy in knowing certain things, as I will need some pointers in the right direction every now and then. I'll plug away and level my marauder to 60, I feel atm this is the only character I like play and have fun with. So if anyone out there is seeking another dps with rading skills am interested. Am 43 years old and my time is pretty much my own to do with so am ready once levelled to raid. Whilst am not really in a position to dictate what I want , I would prefer to only be contacted by a fully working guild and not some 3-4 man "we are waiting on new members sort of thing". Also I only play PVE content , though a guild that does both is fine also. Anyways I look forward to anyone getting in touch as being solo isn't the greatest thing to do in a mmo . I can be reached by my marauder Bai'n or my bh Panic or a note here will do. Cheers
  14. I'll throw my 2 cents in. Imo they keep it running and take your cash, while promising to fix said issues (everone knows what they are). I un subbed because of 1.2. They promised that it would change mmo's forever & that it would be ground breaking. I tracked this game for years hoping that it would be the game changer , they said that they'd do away with kill ten of these ten of those. That the crafting sytem would be worth it & that the sytem that they were gonna bring in made it easier for guilds and groups to operate. The legacy system i waited soo long for is terrible. So we waited in vein from beta testing hoping that the very basic's would be fixed and for months they dangeled a scabby carrot in our faces . I have been gaming mmo's since 96 and was shocked to see the game in the state it was in upon release. The very basic things in mmo's that people expect weren't there. Simple things like lfg system (even though i cant stand pug's) i would have used the system, because thats what was needed. I was in a good guild not on a heavy server , but in the beginning like everyone else we plugged away and got our numbers up and we raided and cleared 95% of the content, hoping that 1.2 would be the answer to diminishing numbers on our server. The game is dying for a good reason, beacuse people were sold a lie. Once people did all the raiding they saw the game for exactly what it was unfinished. U cant bring in new content and not address the major issues at hand, hoping that people will stay with u through this (Testing) Phase. Thats what i saw it as, and am not paying good money to something thats broken . Maybe in a year or so when they have enough content and the bugs are fixed maybe just maybe people might return. But i cant see it happening as games like GW2 will change the way mmo's are made.
