  1. DO IT! (and thanks!) Thanks! We were looking for a place that didn't need anything major done to it either - we're not handyman type people - so I know what you mean. Hopefully the search picks up.
  2. Make sure you tell your seat mate that, then throw in a crying fit for good measure. Just kidding. If you're flying within the EU it should be cake. I love to fly; I kinda miss the days when people dressed up to fly. Well, only kinda. International flights are a legitimate time to wear yoga pants in public, so I can't really complain. I haven't logged into TOR for a while now because Hubs and I bought our first house over the weekend! (ok ok technically it's still pending but whatevs) So I've been busy with all this "life" stuff and everything. (I'm starting to wonder if I will ever add Guss to my companion collection, at the rate I'm going Hoth will melt before I get to that point.)
  3. Guild banks, UI changes and legacy stuff that sounds like it's going to be perfect to feed my alt-oholism. I am super jazzed.
  4. If you play a smuggler into Tatooine stealth becomes your bestest friend. I thought I would miss my beta gunslinger (rolled scoundrel for healing) but I don't regret the decision for a second. And I like the smuggler storyline! Granted, what makes it such fun is all the personality the smuggler has: it's Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly) meets Han Solo meets Lando Calrissian. I got to the dreaded Taris last night (yeah, what is up with that place, lol) and I have to agree that consular cutscene effects are pretty impressive. The Noeitikon of Questions scene (where it's all white and stuff happens and no spoilers) did change my mind a bit about my consular, my interest is growing. Oh look, something to keep me occupied at work.
  5. That's what I've heard about the JK. So far I'm enjoying the story on its own merits, but I'm a lore fiend so I'll probably hunt down a workaround for KOTOR at some point. It showed its age, but I've always loved RPGs anyway. And really, something else to make me love TOR? Nothin wrong with that.
  6. I am going to be at such a loss when I hit 50. I have more back story about my smuggler than some DnD characters I've rolled.
  7. Sure did! Think I read somewhere (after purchasing the game, of course. But I've spent ten bucks on stupider things that didn't work, so meh) that KOTOR isn't particularly stable on newer machines. Not that I put a lot of effort into troubleshooting it, mind you.
  8. This is what I tend to do with my characters. When you only have a few points it's better to put them (in my opinion) into skills that will enhance more general attributes. (I always put my first points into the skill that enhances primary attributes) As I gain levels, I focus on one specific tree - whether that is the tree I have my first few points in or not. There are some talented abilities that are meant to be level related - normally they're worth one skill point - so taking this route will mean you're slightly behind in gaining these at the calculated level, but skill points can be reset. And if you're frugal about doing so, it isn't particularly costly. (I've reset 3 times and my cost was 800 credits last reset.) TORhead is a useful site if you wish to play with skill trees commitment-free.
  9. <mumbles something about never having played KOTOR> I was jonesing so bad for TOR before release I bought KOTOR, installed it, created my character (and got her to level TWO!) and just as I was about to save my progress, the game crashed. Hard. Haven't loaded it up since, I was so mad.
  10. Ah, there they are! (Serves me right for having multiple tabs open, I'm scanning more than reading, lol) I respecced to Sawbones last night, my smuggler was giggling AND Dirty Kicking. It was a blast.
  11. Seven pages and no mention of the wonderful crunch sound that comes with it? Kickin' bad guys in the ghoulies is only made better with that sound!
  12. It's not a deep and cerebral story, but it's full of action, twists, chases around the galaxy and lots of humour. It's well-written and entertaining. It's a lot of fun.
  13. You must be really keen on The Rise of the Rakghouls patch then.
  14. Yeah, the companion you pick up there seems to have a bit more personality at least. I guess because it's not as action-y as most of the others, or at least it isn't yet. Maybe if my sage could crotch kick more, I don't know...
  15. That's the most adorable thing I have read on these forums.
