  1. Arrogance: Hah, yea I think I know who you mean... have to agree with that. Deceit: That quest is not about deception. On some other context, such actions would be considered as deceiving but not here. The two are clearly violating the Jedi Code and letting them continue their love would potentially lead them to make clouded decisions as Jedi. Removing them from the order lets them continue their relationship without the worry that others will suffer because of their choices, in the future. Attachment isn't wrong, but it's an impossibility for Jedi. Hypocracy: Saving millions of innocent people isn't all about good? Destroying technology that would potentially do harm to innocents but would give the Republic a huge advantage isn't good and selfless? Apart from the Master you mentioned I don't think I've come across any other arrogant Jedi, much less a deceitful one.
  2. If it wasn't so off-topic, I would love to see you enlighten us on why you think so... I, for one, couldn't disagree more.
  3. The problem with your spoiler example is that in fact it's not about the emotion involved as such but what the emotions will lead to if left unchecked. The Jedi believe emotional attachments lead inevitably to clouded decisions, you would always put your love ahead of everything else for example. Jedi feel emotions just like everyone else, but they won't let them become something that guides their decisions. That's why the people in your spoiler want you to do what they suggest. A good example of the above would be the fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin at Mustafar. Obi-Wan clearly states "I love you Anakin, you're like a brother to me!", yet his mind is not clouded from the big picture and he has to cut Anakin down for the greater good, even though the act pains him greatly. There's strong emotion there, yet peace. Anakin's love for Padme clouded his judgment when Mace Windu was about to kill Sidious. He didn't want him alive to be fairly judged like he claimed but instead his mind was set on Sidious teaching him the way to control death and to keep Padme from dying. If he had kept his emotions in check, he never would've fallen in love in the first place and thus Sidious couldn't have played that card on him. To answer the OP, I chose a Jedi simply because I very much love them. Then again, I also love the Sith and have a Warrior character as well...
  4. Personally I'd be careful not to use any canon names at all. Not sure if it's lorebreaking or not in your case cos I've never heard of any relatives for either Luminara Unduli or Barriss Offee (assuming those were the two Mirialan you meant). Use them if you wish I guess but my opinion would be to try and build a whole new Legacy, with your own authentic name. This name generator for example is quite good actually, for both first and last names. Give it a couple of goes and see if it's any help! http://dimfuture.net/starwars/random/generate.php
  5. Regardless of game mechanics being quite different from actual lore, the different Jedi classes do apply to all Jedi in Star Wars. Yoda was a Consular, his wisdom, mastery of the Force and green lightsaber color (even though this is not a rule) all point to that fact. Someone pointed out he was a master of the Form IV: Ataru. Yes, in fact he was a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat, except Vaapad, the modified version of Form VII: Juyo. Only Mace Windu and Sora Bulq reached mastery of Vaapad. Yoda earned the title of Swordmaster in the Jedi Order. This game makes all Consulars and Inquisitors look bad in that it seems none of them know how to use their sabers. They don't even use any of the combat forms. When in truth, every single Jedi are at least proficient with Shii-Cho and more often than not many different forms. Kit Fisto, a MASTER of Shii-Cho, was also a Consular. Do you see him using a lot of Force powers, standing away from a fight to throw stones or to heal others? No. He was a master of combat and actually one of the best swordsmen in the Jedi Order. His skill with Force powers manifested through his excellent use of Force Speed and his unique ability to manipulate water through the Force. As a Nautolan, water was a close element to him. Bah, I always ramble in these posts... anyway, don't think that only Guardians know how to fight. It may be what they do best, but all Jedi surpass any normal being in swordfight, whether Guardian, Consular or Sentinel. It's just sad the skills in this game do nothing to reflect this.
  6. Ah I stand corrected. Plo Koon is sometimes portrayed with an orange blade and sometimes with a blue one and anyway, orange is different than red... But Adi Gallia indeed uses a red synthetic crystal. Thanks for pointing it out Still, it's very very rare for a lightsider to use red color crystals..!
  7. All kinds of stuff went wrong in the game design, but it's pretty hard to make a perfect game. Anyway, all Jedi/Sith classes should've been designed as lightsaber combatants, because that's what all of them are basically. Others, like Yoda, Dooku, Sidious and whatnot just happen to be masters of all kinds of Force powers IN ADDITION to their mastery of one or many of the seven lightsaber combat forms. Now it seems none of the Consular or Inquisitor classes know any of the seven forms, but instead have some Force-related buff thingamajig. Sole reason I don't play an Assassin or a Shadow is cos I can't relate to what style they use. Silly huh? I know but I can't get over it heh... Could've made the healing abilities lightsaber related as well.. like a Sage fighting like a true Jedi against a monster or two, building up some "Force concentration" bar or whatever and then releasing it as the proverbial healing spell.. "Raise morale" or something that heals the group. Jedi don't stay back from the fight and sling spells from afar. Some other class other than a Force user could've been THE healer class. I don't know why they needed to put something of everything on every class. This way, all Jedi/Sith would get to have fun with their "Sizzle Sticks". The end of my "eyes-closing-on-their-own" tired rambling. G'night.
  8. Nice bit of lore here OP Thanks. Some Star Wars Galaxies nostalgia there as well..! Taking part in the discussion about the spesific colors for spesific Jedi, as some already said the color blue for a Guardian for example is indeed a tradition but by no means a rule and has never been. Many notable exceptions to this tradition can be found in the movies alone, not to mention other sources. (Agen Kolar, Eeth Koth, Qui-Gon Jinn, Saesee Tiin, all Guardians with other than blue blades.) A Jedi has always been able to decide for themselves which color to use, as long as they could themselves provide the crystal needed. I'm not sure if KotOR games were the first source where the tradition was mentioned during the lightsaber crafting part, but that's where I heard it the first time. As to the one comment saying red color doesn't equal a sith/dark jedi.. oh yes it does. You will not see a lightside Jedi having a red-bladed saber. For my Guardian, I used a green blade as a result of an RP aspect: Although skilled in lightsaber combat, he's also well-versed in diplomatic relations and investigation, both more often in the comfort zone of Jedi Consulars. To tip the scale from blue to green, his eyes are the same green color as his blade. So all in all, the lightsaber colors are very meaningful and while they might not directly show the Jedi's calling (Guardian, Consular, Sentinel), they do their part in portraying the individual Jedi's personality. My two cents turned out to be a long drivel so I stop here For now.
  9. One more vote for the hood toggle here. Also, I want it to be so that when the hood is down it's still visible as in bunched behind your head. It's not enough for it to be either up or gone as it happens when you put on a helmet while wearing a hooded robe. A robe with it's hood completely gone looks very silly.
  10. "Zabraks have two visually different cultural groups split almost prefectly between Republic and Imperial space." That's the reason and it's not only apparent in this game. Compare the "more recent" Jedi Eeth Koth or Agen Kolar with the Sith Darth Maul and Savage Opress and you'll see this difference continuing from Old Republic time to Clone Wars and beyond. My two cents to this "argument": All Zabraks look bad-*** and none of the other races come close.
