  1. Armor mitigation...................only counts.....................for weapon damage.......... That would explain why the 100% accuracy on all moves and the 99.5% hit chance seem to create unbalances in systems that normally would not be Over Powered (Backstabs/ Lightining). I just lost so much respect for how the mechanics of this game work...
  2. True. Very true. I think its broken down like this: 1 PvPers like fighting each other and the enemy. Some like taking stuff and saying they own it (open world). 2. PvPers do not like grinding and only grind for the sake of getting gear that will make them better at pvp.
  3. I play on a pvp server (Warriors of the Shadow). We have a lot of interaction, but little conversation outside operations and Warzones. General is flooded with **** most of the time. Most people are dead scared that people will mock them for RP'ing, even for a second/just a little. (Its actually quite refreshing to group with someone who knows more about starwars than just lightsabers and pew pew). Republic side seems less social because they have 1/3 the amount of Empire players. Its a shaky community. But hopefully they make more connections with each other in the future.
  4. Well, I just spent like 30 days getting to act 3 on my Jedi Knight. I really like the story so far. But a lot of people don't like their class story and say that you have to play through some other ones to make your original characters story better (more understandable anyway). Is that true? Do stories in this game really link with each other or are they all stand alone?
  5. DAOC was great because each class was mechanically different, but used the same resource. Not rage-Energy-force-ammo. They were also the only ones to truly balance pet classes. Maybe not the Bone Dancers or Theurgist, but everything else. No grinding loot bags for pvp gear with PvP stats made it a pure win as well. Bright wizards were... Was a great idea but executed poorly, and only fixed like 2 months too late. But the BIGGEST FAIL goes to.... Keep sieges. They were supposedly the selling point of WAR. Sadly they had little stratagy as they lacked destructible keep walls and the ability to scale keep walls with ladders and such (1 door? 1 ramp? 1 Keep lord? ugh.). It was too static. SWTOR selling point is story, and they nailed it. But once I have a level 50 of each of the classes I'm out. And I doubt much could stop that.
  6. NO ONE LIKES ROCKS the reason not many play sage. Now if they used blue lighting called force judgment.....then maybe they would get more players.
  7. Take away factions! THAT sounds !@#$ing interesting! I'll take what hes saying please/ If the jedi looked as bad as the sith do on top of the strict code, NO ONE would want to even be AROUND us. I wanted to be a Smuggler force user....so much for that idea.
  8. "X Pulled the ball handler apart!" really helps me after I'm waiting for the shields to drop. Everything else...not so much.
  9. True. They are trying to tear away from the trinity and make everyone self sufficient like an action game or something. They have my respect for that. Oh! So everyone can heal a bit....sounds like something SWTOR promised back in alpha lol. I remember AOE/DOT hammer online lol
  10. 1. Guild wars 2 = Newer more interesting game mechanics + no healer class 2. Planet side 2. = MMO FPS based on the concept of a 3 way war. I feel as though SWTOR is necroing WoW a bit.....just let it die on its own please... I had such high expectations for this game. Don't get me wrong, its great, but not awe inspiring amazing....well maybe the conversation system and story. But the PvP everyone was expecting from a good vs evil game is lacking and a grind fest. I still hold hope and pray this game gets better. I guess I will blame EA. If they gave everyone under their control the same amount of money but much much more freedom, they would get quality games.
  11. Cough* me. I throw up taunt every once in a while and get 40k protection along with 120k damage.
  12. They also perfected the art of 3 way wars, but no one wants that since Horde and Alliance. Publishers are pushing for wow clones and wow like mechanics. Just wish Mythic made DAOC 2 instead of a WAR flop...
  13. This game should have just been Old empire Vs New empire, leave the republic to be an npc faction until later in the game. But my dreams of a good 3 war war will have to wait for planetside 2...
  14. Not true, tanks can't really outdamage healers without dying. So they rely on eachother. DPS however, do not. Its wonky like that. Tanks and healers beat DPS any day, but its rare to find that synergy.
  15. Your right. Republic just picks whatever class they enjoy most and hope the game will be balanced..............its not lol.
