  1. I really, really don't understand why there isn't a Big Primary Principle of voice-acted game design that says simply: "The longer and more unique an utterance is, the less it should be repeated." Highly recognisable utterances such as the ship droid mission stuff should not be repeated more than once a day (yes, day). Beyond that, they should be replaced with 1-2 word replacements: "Certainly." "Yes, master." "Right away!" The current state of play, both in SWTOR and pretty much every other game with significant voice acting, is immersion-breaking and highly irritating. And I can't help but think it could be fixed without requiring a lot more voice acting work, simply by using shorter utterances or silence. So my question is this: why is this the case? Does it really harm game perception to just have support characters only re-use very short utterances, or even just shut up entirely a lot of the time?
  2. Ah, I was wondering why I didn't pick it up when I dinged 30 last night!
  3. Yeah, it would be well worth checking whether those bonuses have been changed for launch - I think they were based on what the different crew skills did in a much older build.
  4.
