  1. "Above all tighten the Galactic Starfighter Control scheme so as to allow for not only joystick support, but tighter controls to allow for the player to out fly better equipped ships. Make Galactic Starfighter feel more like a fast paced flight sim and people will play it. the joystick doesn't allow that much of an advantage anyway. especially with gamepad support being popular now. the rest of Galactic Starfighter is fine as is. The last thing a player in a PvP flight experience should be worrying about is trying to just fly straight. with it as is, that's all I ever worry about and makes it frustrating. You're missing an opportunity to let people who remember the X-Wing Series or SW: Galaxies - Jump to Lightspeed feel that white knuckle thrill of out flying a heavier armed opponent by sheer skill. Again, vehicles are a HUGE part of Star Wars. No current MMORPG experience would be better to suited to handle it right now than SWTOR. Give the fighter jocks a place to shine please! Also could be interesting to have Vehicle based free flight "Uprisings-esc" PVE Space Combat... an additional plus would be Speeder/Swoop/Pod Racing. It would be a truly Star Wars experience to have vehicles be a larger part of the multiplayer experiences down the road." I offer this up to the forums, because the character limit for the Survey couldn't handle it. I know I'm not alone feeling frustrated by not only the slow queues, but once you're in there hardly being any use except for target practice since the veteran GSF players simply do better due to the stat differences. You can't skim surfaces, you can't feel competitive while flying "inferior" ships, & if you are new to GSF & flight sims... May the force have mercy on your soul. GSF is a well thought out and designed system... except for the flight controls. there are those who use a gamepad for SWTOR, so why not let us use Joysticks too? Flying ships in GSF feels too sloppy even with the keyboard and mouse. Am I wrong? or am I just Loony?

What I would like to see but probably would never be implemented: Heroic Moment ability- "Call in a Favor" in the Legacy portion of the UI under family tree, be able to individually designate a single Alt toon and designate its' role (heals, Dps, or Tank) . when you pop heroic moment, you will have a "Call in a Favor" button along with all of the other legacy abilities. when you use the ability, it summons the designated Alt toon as a temporary companion while you have the heroic moment buff active. the role you designated in the UI will be what that temporary companion does during the fight. The ability to have cosmetically one of your Alts come in to help out from time to time would be Epic to see!

I would like to see: -more armored vehicles (Tanks and such) -a proper Basilisk War Droid (not the KOTOR II one. that was the virago from shadows of the empire) - Personnel carriers (passenger capability) -Cargo Carriers (like a flatbed or pickup speeder truck) - Lots more jetpacks!!! - Hover / Repulsor boards (back to the future esc floating skateboard/snowboard mount) -Droid mounts (rideable droids) - More Walker Mounts - Battle scarred mounts (smoking and damaged mounts) - Celebratory crowd surfing (a small herd of npcs who put you on their shoulders and carry you en masse) -Palanquin / Litter mounts (multiple slaves, creatures, or droids who transport you via a fancy carrier) -Medical evac (lying on a floating gurney as droids or troops tend to your wounds while they transport you) -Riding in formation mounts (multiple NPCs riding beside you in a tight squad formation) the possibilities are there, let's make them happen!
  4. you can customize the colors of different types of chat items by right-clicking on the chat tab. then go in and right-click on the specific channel that you wish to make unique. I did it with my say channel and it helps out a bit. but situational awareness and having nameplates floating above characters helps too I would think that chat bubbles would visually clutter up the scene if they were implemented in high traffic areas like cantinas, and thus harder to engage in conversations... but that's just me.
  5. as time consuming and thought provoking as re-imagining a canon character in a new time era can be, there are things to consider while doing so: 1- the freedoms & liberties that the original writers and artists could take, are not the same liberties that can be fully emulated in game. at best, you could get it to feel right, but not necessarily a 1-to-1 import. even with using slave gear. 2- why limit yourself? Darth Talon is a cool looking character and is pretty kick-butt from what I recall, but you would just be copying what others have brought to the table. In my experience, it means so much more when you create something that wholly and completely yours and then have fellow players recognize and applaud you for it 3- in a realm of possibilities and social interactions, it is highly possible to give the wrong impression when re-creating a canon character. an average person's psyche will fill in the blanks and make possibly wrong assumptions that could hinder you overall social game playing experience. Recommendations? I'd let the "force" flow through you and let the process of leveling (especially RP leveling) in the game organically create a unique and interesting character that you will not only have a strong emotional bond to, but also create new and interesting interactions with others that could surpass the awesomeness of the comics on account that it is your story... and no one can dispute it or take it away from you

  7. I know it's not a huge deal, but for RPers out there I gotta ask: the only location where you can have your characters sit down is in the cockpit. will that ever change?
  8. we all have our little peeves despite being huge fans of the franchise. there is nothing wrong with stating an opinion. just bear in mind there is only 2-3 people in the world that absolutely have all the current information (including unreleased & future material) regarding Mandalorians: George Lucas Leeland Chee- keeper of the "holocron" Dave Filoni if you really pay attention to the story in the clone wars, you can see what they are doing with that era of Mandalorians- establishing that societies are dynamic. you can start out as spartan-like and attempt to pursue a more peaceful and cultured path. not everyone will agree with the new way of living however and see it as an affront to tradition and established cultural norms.... sounds awfully familiar throw into the mix that dutchess Satine Krize is not a mandalorian at all. she is a staunch pacifistic non-native ruler of several star systems and one of them she governs is the once war-mongering turned peaceful Mandalorians. Mandalorians are not a self-governed entity during the clone wars. certain cultural groups on mandalore might not agree and actively seek to claim the right to self govern by military force. while I haven't read all of the Republic Commando novels, I have not seen anywhere that they have taken things to a point that is totally contradictory. most information presented in the novels are presented with only a few individual perspectives. while the Mandalorian culture is taken in a direction that is agreeably unexpected, it does bring up and interesting idea: what is the difference of being a Mandalorian by birth, and being a Mandalorian by faith? it's a question that could be asked of ourselves which I believe is the point. my personal pov: most people who develop orginal Intellectual properties take what people say about their ideas to heart because they devote their lives and finances to putting it out there for the masses to enjoy. insulting their ideas is like telling them they are a parent to a fugly baby. cirticism is fine, but being hurtful is just being hurtful. and yes we do take this stuff Waaaaaaaay too seriously.
  9. actually... george can do whatever he wants because HE OWNS IT. you can do whatever the hell you want to it because it is yours to do with however you please. we can demand all we want to... and complain about changes made... and insult those who actually put their ideas out for us to even enjoy some of it, but it doesn't change the fact that it is ultimately GL's sandbox. we just enjoy the view from the bleachers. those who actually get to play in the sandbox are subject to the whims of the sandbox's owner. to presume otherwise is just setting yourself up for a let down. if you don't like what he's doing to the universe you have about 3 options available: 1- accept it as an ever evolving and expanding universe and as more parts of the universe are discovered, previous discrepencies and assumtions are corrected. (like there there is no such thing as a brontosaurus... or that pluto is no longer a planet- look it up if don't know what I'm talking about ) 2- treat it like a salad bar: ignore the parts you disagree with and enjoy what you like, or just simply dine somewhere else. 3- Think you can do better? prove it! make your own unique franchise and show the world that you can do it better than George Lucas ever could. anything else is just dust in the wind.
