  1. Have you actually tried other mmos? Because Kotxx got nothing on FFXIV's Heavenward xpac. That is good mmo storytelling and SE still has new group content with every story patch.
  2. \signed I really miss being part of the Empire. No idea how they'll be able to actually return us to our factions via story, but I don't want to be part of a third faction anymore.
  3. To give you a short answer: no I won't. Why? Because I'm not interested in paying to be able to play the same old ops I did a billion times already while still being in one way or the other forced to grind GC. Despite the upcoming improvements, GC sucks and I won't grind 300 ranks for it. So i'll either sub again when they release new ops or another xpac (which would hopefully also include some ops). I can still run dailies if I start mixing my toons too much. For now I'll be having fun in ffxiv eagerly awaiting the new 24m raid coming out next year.
  4. I think you're absolutely right about that. And you know why they abandoned all their plans they had for the story originally? Because players most likely weren't as impressed with the new direction the story was taking as BW still likes to pretend. So they killed off all the remaining comp alerts and plans for a third season to quickly and quietly get over with the whole thing. I still hope they'll just retcon all of 4.0 and 5.0 in 6.0.
  5. At this point only an announcement of new operations by summer this year could realistically keep me subbing. While I "only" joined the game in July 2012, I've been subbed non-stop up to now. But once my sub runs out, I highly doubt I'll sub again anytime soon. No matter how awesome chapter X is going to be, it's not going to bring me back, the only thing that would bring me back are new events, new operations. By now I'd even be excited to see a new daily area. You know, a good old-fashioned daily area like Section X and Oricon were, and not those H2 grinds for the Alliance crates. But since that won't happen, I'll play another MMO (no, not the one most of you are thinking of now) in the meantime. An MMO with actual group content, that actually forces you to *gasp* group up quite a lot to even progress your story. No matter how many ppl in the forums tell us players who like any kind of group content that this is a single player game that should be renamed in KOTOR3, I love my guild and pug runs and since I've done pretty much everything else in this game so many times that I'm absolutely bored by it, I'll only come back for new group content. I'm sad that it has come to this since I'm a very loyal player (as I said, been subbing even since July 2016) but I honestly feel that BW doesn't give a single damn about us "veterans" and wants us all gone. For now they've succeeded in doing that when it comes to me, I'm having a blast in that other MMO I've been playing recently. And now it'll be that MMO that gets my monthly sub.
  6. I totally agree with you. Yeah, it's nice that they make old ops/fps relevant again yadda yadda, but I would have wanted new ops. As it is, I'm no longer buying new timecards.
  7. Yeah, I'm really not happy about this. It might be nice to have a reason to do the old ops again (I do think though that most people ran them quite frequently for achievements/credits/deco anyway), new content would have been better. Rav/Tos is boring as hell already and to think I'll have to run it one more year or so until something new is being released. The story alone won't be enough to have me continue subbing, sorry to say.
  8. At least they talked to you at all (not that insults are nice). When I was in a group with people who need on everything (it happens rather often now), they outright ignore me and others who ask them why they do that/ask them to stop. It's really aggravating, as you can do nothing to stop them. (I usually just leave the group if we're not near the end yet...)
  9. So now we're not even allowed to voice our grief when something goes wrong? I'm far from complaining about the game 24/7, but we have every right to be displeased if bugs like this happen AND continue to exist for a long time. I like this game and want to stay with it. But it does affect my fun when things like that happen and aren't dealt with. But I guess I should just **** off for voicing an opinion that is not 100% favourable, right?
