  1. Hey guys, I was looking to get some advice on what craft I should take for my first character, a Commando. One thing to note is I will be playing with a Consular who will be going Biochem. Ideally it would be nice to benefit us both but that isn't necessary. I was thinking armourmech, Cybertech, or Armstech. Thanks
  2. Thanks everyone Looks like it is a clear cut choice. Started my AP BH going again right after I posted this and just started wrecking people in the low tier pvp matches. Cant wait to get to 51 for shoulder cannon and get into the 55 bracket.
  3. Hey guys, The tittle really sums up what I really am trying to figure out. Just came back to SWTOR with my clan and I got my sniper to 55. Started to tear people up in PvP with him right out of the gate. Rolled all three specs, had great monstrous success with all three but I just cant get that same joy I have for the class in PvP as I do PvE. So I am looking at the AP Powertech and Arsenal Merc and wanted to get your opinions on what one I should roll for PvP PUG purposes since I will mainly be queuing up solo for all of my PvP experiences. Thanks for the input!
  4. Still have working with it but it is a start I have since updated my gloves and it adds a lot to the set. The helm makes you sound pretty wicked too. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/138/9ff7.jpg Could really use some suggestions on pants if anyone has any.
  5. ok, so ill probably take 1 point out of malice then to fund the last point in seeping wounds. 32/7/2. With the proper gear that 2% crit should be unnoticed
  6. But charge acts as an interrupt and in PvP that is very handy. Especially vs tracer missiles, heals, etc. Also being a rage builder it is very nice in that aspect too for face to face battles. So my question is, do we remove say 5% bleed damage and 2% crit chance for a 30% snare on rupture or where do we pull these points from?
  7. Great point on CoC. I totally didnt take into consideration not needing 2/2 for it due to the internal CD. Sad to hear that CoA is not viable in end game. Was really hoping to be able to keep up that 20% reduction + dmg shield. Though being able to do that does sound pretty OP.
  8. Hey guys, so i have some things that need clearing up. Just wanted to get some confirmations. (all relating to anni pvp build) Sorry in advance if any of these questions have been addressed in the past, Search function etc... To many posts to filter through. 1) Off hand does 30% of our main hand dmg and is not affect by strength? So essentially its a stat stick and taking dual wield mastery beyond more then 1 point to get to the T2 tree is pointless? 2) Quick Recovery Vs Cloak of Annihilation... Me not being 50 yet, just hit 30... i am not sure how quickly our rage will build. Already it seems very quick at 30. So my question here is are we going to have enough rage to benefit from CoA by utilizing the high costing retaliation? In theory we could keep up a 20% dmg reduction indefinitely. OR Is it better to go with QR and make my AoE's cost near nothing to use and reduced CD even though the class is more ST spec. I dont know if it is a bug but when i am bolstered in pvp Smash does more damage via the tool tip then viscous slash... possibly making it the cheapest/strongest direct attack we have. Smash does less damage though when i am not bolstered in pve though. Thanks for the help guys. Just really want to finish off my PvP spec.
  9. Got this a bit ago. Great gun but definitely not the best looking... little disappointing for a champion weapon. http://db.darthhater.com/screenshot_images/2138/screenshot_2138/#2138
  10. pretty sure this post is located in the general sith warrior section
  11. Thanks for the insight arrianlol. It makes everything a bit clearer. I have no problem running solo pvp as dps.. i have done it about 99% of the time on my sniper. It is just now my guild is catch up. From our break down we have 3 to 4 tanks, 3 to 4 years, and 2 or 3 DPS (including my Sniper). For reference my main set of people to run with is a mix and match of: DPS OP, Tank PT, 2x healing BH. Not only am i looking for a class that benefits me, but one that will benefit/compliment my pvp group as well. ATM: i primarily ONLY run with the DPS OP (who could go healing if i asked). What i am worried about on the Jug is only really being viable in huttball, which is majority of my games anyways. I can see taunts/guard being great for an organized team and the leaps are good in HB but outside of that, do jugs fall lack luster? i.e. running Voidstar or Alderan (spelling??) where objective points arnt soo much reliant on a tank capturing but more so beating the opposing team down long enough for anyone to capture the point. I have also heard the jug play style is a tad... "dull" which i am kind of concerned about. In regards to marauder i am not worried about complexity. The more complex the better really. I guess my concerns for this class is its ability to survive solo. We also have 0 marauders in the guild and i think 1 person just rerolled to jug. I am use to running solo DPS so i know i will die. I also know it wont be the same as a tank jug, which i am not worried about. I just dont want it to be like in WAR where melee was a spam fest of choppas/slayers and if you didnt have guard/heals you just became a spec on the floor. So with the new information provided do you still stand with your previous recommendation? I am just throwing all my comments/questions/concerns out there cause thats what i do. It takes me a long time to decide what to play because i want to be 100% sure. When i do chose a class, it ends up going to being played completely to the max.
  12. So was that a nerd rant vote for jug?
  13. First off i have a 50 IA Sniper who i am working on getting champ geared. So i am doing daily's/weekly WZ. Outside of that, I want to start rolling an alt. I am completely torn between Jug and Mara. With pvp in mind, what of the two is the better choice? Class difficulty doesn't matter, though the more complex the more i like it. One button wonders are boring as hell. I queue solo about 1/2 the time. The other half i am running usually with a Powertech tank, OP DPS, BH Heals. So in short: what of the two is the better choice for pvp? Please only respond if you are 50 w/ quality PvP experience.
  14. 50 sniper here and ill i do is pvp.... Snipers are amazing if you can place yourself out of the minds of the enemy but not out of the minds of your team. If you start getting harassed.. well your damage will blow. If you make a name for yourself as a quality sniper, more often then not, other people will come to your rescue. Snipers are rare, and most of the ones you see blow. If you don't have that kind of mindset or a keen ability to do the above... Sorc or BH. And from there just go with whatever class you think looks cooler. cant go wrong with either.
